  1. During summer, a little more but not a ton. I sailed Beyond in May on a 10 nighter then Reflection in September on an 11 night. Both from Rome. It was mostly the same age group as you would see in the Caribbean when school is in session. The familes with kids in September were mostly toddlers.
  2. Celebrity has not made any 'official' communication about this. The only thing released is the 24/25 opening schedule dates. Asia opens this week and the TA site still indicates year-round Asia sailings.
  3. That's an over simplified explanation, but CC status does get an extra multiplier.
  4. No. The point of the program is to bring in more revenue. Simply put, which ever scenario brings in the most money is the winner. What they can expect in return from your initially booked cabin is going to have some influence on top of what you are willing to pay for an upgrade.
  5. This video better explains the options. The deck plan should mirror the Beyond.
  6. Not yet. Apparently 7 ships in Europe for summer 2024. TA preview is open next Tuesday 11/8 and public release is Thursday 11/10.
  7. These are called trade events/trade cruises/media cruises/etc. They are not loyalty events to give frequent passengers a free cruise as a thank you. A lot has changed in the past 10 years since the last S class ship rolled out. They are looking for the maximum amount of (mostly free) exposure and to build awareness among the people who are actually selling these cruises. Celebrity hosts and participates in all sorts of social events around Miami and Fort Lauderdale that you are also probably not invited. No reason to be sour over it.
  8. The third and fourth day (Sunday-Tuesday) is partially a United Way fundraiser. Anyone could have paid to get on as far I know.
  9. Pick a different ship, different port, different line or different vacation?
  10. Soon. Final release dates should be coming out in the next few weeks.
  11. The Craft Social crowd has to be due to the ballgame. In May it was a ghost town. In fact I think on my prior E class cruises it’s precursor, the Casino Bar, was also pretty deserted until late night.
  12. "Cruise Approved" is a term made up by Amazon sellers, not cruise lines. You can't take a surge protector. I've used items like this for years with no issue. Much smaller and easier to travel with. https://www.anker.com/products/a2148?variant=41974285172886&ref=collectionBuy
  13. Maybe it's not all doom and gloom. New deployments will be announced shortly.
  14. It’s effectively letting you know you have no chance. If you bid $50 and they already have a full slate of $200 bids, you stand no chance and that is what it is. So if you want a realistic chance, pay more. Would you rather know immediately or wait 60 days to find out you didn’t get the upgrade?
  15. I can't say in the past 3-4 cruises I have seen all of this erroneous info in the app. It works quite well lately. Notable improvement from several years ago. I'm one of those hooligans that uses his phone onboard. Obviously use WiFi on the ship, pay the AT&T $10 day pass rate in Caribbean stops, and use a $15-$20 eSim in Europe which saved me about $140 last trip.
  16. In the hotel industry it’s more practical since having the key on your phone allows you to bypass the front desk all together. Since the ship cabin locks already support contactless entry it probably wasn’t much more work to incorporate it into the app, but the application isn’t quite the same. Similar concept with the tv interface. I would enjoy being able to use my watch for purchases and entry, but until Apple works through the captive login issue on watches (which is just now being implemented on Apple tv’s) it probably won’t happen. Aside from that the watch would count as a second device and of course that doesn’t work well with existing WiFi packages for most.
  17. This makes sense if the ship is truly short staffed right now like some complained about on the TA. It could be temporary. We did the first Edge cruise back into service in June ‘21 and I want to say that one was also handled the same way.
  18. My guess would be on a busy weekday morning the money is near the airports and closer to the city. No reason to drive empty 20+ minutes out of your way.
  19. You definitely can. Those are two totally different things. He needs to get clarification.
  20. He may be confused but this isn't entirely impossible. When is the cruise? There are some heavily booked cruises where transferring to group space is not allowed. There are also other guidelines pertaining to groups and inventory held and sold. You do not have to transfer into group space. He also isn't ''giving" you the All Included items. It sounds like you may have booked a NRD and/or a Cruise Only rate?
  21. I haven’t seen anything incorrect on the site. The Cruise with Confidence price adjustment ended on 9/30. The pre-COVID rules apply again. No more OBC for price drops after final payment.
  22. If you are past final payment, you are not due anything at all. No TA is going to pay you the difference which would have to come out of their pocket.
  23. Look at your order history and see what you purchased. Celebrity doesn't offer anything called a coffee package.
  24. It doesn't work. You can Google captive portal with WatchOS or something along those lines. You would need to text yourself this URL <http://captive.apple.com/hotspot-detect.html>, disable Bluetooth on the watch, click the WiFi network twice to get into the setting and disable auto login. Back out to settings and reconnect to the WiFi network. Then go to iMessages on your watch, click the URL you sent yourself and see if it takes you to the login portal. It rarely works, so I wouldn't spend much time trying.
