  1. the actual travel router we bought was tp-link AC750 wifi. The box I mentioned was the same shape as the real one and I may have had a few practice drinks when I sent that message. The rest of what I said was right.
  2. The "hub" we bought was ULTRAwifiPro. Once it was hooked up to wifi we purchased, all 3 of us could use it in the room for whatever we needed to do. When we were all out of the room, (shows, meals, etc) our Son (30 yr old) could use the purchased wifi on his device. Once back in the room, we rehooked the hub up and all were able to use it. It was an experiment for us and we will always travel with it on cruises now.
  3. I have never had the issue of leftover OBC.🤫 I have used Casino prome chips at the 3-card Table many times until they were used up. I have done room charge at both slots and table games many times. OBC has been applied first, then balance remains as balance. Never had the enviable issue of extra OBC.
  4. If you plan to complete the checkin,, you will need passport or id info, credit card you plan to use for cruise, contact phone # for someone not sailing with you and plans for your travel to/from cruise.
  5. We purchased a wifi hub before our last cruise (HAL) and had 1 wifi purchase on the ship. The 3 of us were able to use the the one ship thru the hub when in the room and our son was able to use it when we were not in the room. We are planning to try that same procedure on our upcoming RCL cruises and are hoping for similar performance.
  6. I went to check current prices on out 3 upcoming cruises to be able to compare to the the "new" prices for the sale and none of the planners are available. They must be pre-raising already.
  7. We have done it on Royal a few times. DW and I each have free/discounted rooms and we book one for my wife and one for Myself and our Adult DS. Once onboard, we go to guest services and get a room key for our son in DW's room and DW a key to my room. All of the billing remains the same and they use their original cards for purchases and such. All of the charges are using my cc anyway. The new cards are only used for room access. It may become more of an issue if we attempted to actually change the room ressys pre-cruise due to the specific discounts we have from the Casino folks for each room. Never had any issue doing it on Royal. We have 2 upcoming Anthem cruises coming up with the same plans. Best of luck.
  8. Thanks for the heads up. Just booked a lunch on our December Anthem, and a dinner on our Feb '24 Anthem cruises Jamie's on Anthem has it also.
  9. If you are carrying your new luggage (clean clothes), you will still need to wait in the TSA scanning line. Likely even if you check in the new luggage with porters, you will need to be scanned by TSA.
  10. We just received a second receipt for our upcoming Dec cruise. The only difference was the new one shows the OBC from our RCL Visa card requested a few days ago. We seem to get new receipts whenever any thing is changed/updated.
  11. We would definitely recommend Sambas or Hibachi. We have done neither for a celebration dinner, but have done each several times and enjoyed them thoroughly.
  12. That garage is also nearby. We used that in August 2022. It cost us twice as much. The lot next door is closer, but not much. When we were looking at the garage this summer, it seemed to not be available in September 2023.
  13. I booked it thru Parkwhiz.com The email confirmation was our proof of payment and it had all the necessary info. As for the calling at arrival, when we arrived, the lot was sparsly occupied and the gate was down with no one in the booth. We called the number provided on the receipt and they sent someone over to let us in. The person arrived as we were still on the phone. approx. 2-3 minutes. When we got back from the cruise, it was a similar procedure (even faster) I highly recommend the lot and service. (I am not in any way related the parkwhiz, just a customer) I will use them next time cruising out of Boston.
  14. We have always brought along 2 plain non-surge protected extension cords in our checked luggage with no problems. If we need them in the room, we use them as needed. We do coil them up and put them on the counter when we expect the room cleaning to keep them out of the way for vacuuming. We did have one held at checkin once when wife had one in her carryon. Now, I do reminder her before each cruise.
  15. Last month we drove from Home to Boston on the day of cruise, took us <7 hours including old man bladder stops and lunch. Home to Cape Liberty is a shorter drive. We will watch weather as we get closer to the date. We can be flexible and stay midway the night before. For us, the driving uncertainties are less than the flying uncertainties.
  16. They use the seapass card to track your play at tables. You can use cash or charge to your room to pay. I usually start with cash but later in the cruise, they have all my cash and I use my card for more play. Slots are the same. If you change to a different slot, the remaining $ on your machine can be transferred to your Seapass account and used on a new machine.
  17. We were on a b2b on the Zuiderdam last month and I pre-purchased a bottle of Bacardi with 2 cokes. It was $30+ more for the bottle of Bacardi without the cokes. We 3 also had the soda package, but saving $30+ was worth it. The casino folks ended giving me free drinks in the casino for each week thanks to my generosity of gambling quite a bit. The bottle of rum lasted me 13 days of the 14 days aboard.
  18. We have several Royal offers that include Bayonne, Liberty ots, Symphony ots, Anthem ots
  19. We just used, for 14 days in September, the Parking lot at 1 Black Falcon right next door to the terminal. Paid $210. in advance and had to call the phone number at arrival to be let into the lot and again at departure to let us out. It was very smooth and an easy walk from/to car and terminal.
  20. We are across the lake from you in Rochester, NY and plan to drive to Cape Liberty on the morning of the cruise on December 10th (barring any weather events) and parking at the port. We have a shorter drive than you and also the advantage of our "child" is 30 yrs old. We did take him on his 1st cruise when he was 9mo old, but we cheatedand brought a grandmother along. We have stayed several times with a park and cruise at a Best Western in Elizabeth.
  21. Too many 0s I would need additional laundry service if by gambling for 7 days @$500/day came to $35000.
  22. On a related topic, our upcoming b2b on Zuiderdam (2 cruises booked separately) shows up as 14 days on the NAV app itinerary. It shows the first weeks excursions and pre-cruise purchases and OBC. It shows none of that for the second leg. And , on the Nav app, there does not seem a way to access the second booking #. I can see them each on the website.
  23. I hope that OBC purchased pre-cruise is also refundable if not used. I have no proof of it since We always have used it up during our cruise.
  24. We were told by our PCC when we booked that we were not able to use HIA on either half of our b2b on Zuiderdam. We are casino players, but the rates we got did not include Casino discounts. I believe the HIA restriction was due to the discounts we did receive. We were fine with that sincs we do not get the drink package anyway. I have seen the HIA listed as available on nearly every page of any cruise planning we do, so maybe we would be able to get it. We purchase the soda package (for 3 of us) and the premium internet. We were able to add the AARP OBC to each leg.
