  1. I am signature and my wife is prime. We each get 1 or 2 offers a month. Mine are JS or balcony and hers are OV or interior. Since we travel with our Son (adult), I book a room for my Son & I and wife books a room for herself. We then, once on board, we get a extra room key for each room and Son gets a single and I get to share my room with my wife. When I book the rooms, I request the PCC to join the rooms together for dining and such. When using cruise, all 3 of us show up for any excursions or other choices.
  2. We typically bring 2 large and 1 medium suitcase and each have a backpack carryon. We have 3 adults, DW and I and our Adult son. We always put our empty suitcases under the bed. We also utilize the laundry service if we are on a b2b.
  3. I was trying to cancel an excursion I had made and got similar message. Surprisingly, I then tried on my phone in the navigator app and was successful. Usually, my experience is the opposite, Navigator app does not cooperate and the website does. Who knows what will happen next week?
  4. We also went to our local bank and we were able to pay us$ and receive $Can in 2 days. The exchange rate was a little less than the going rate, but very convenient and far(!) better exchange rate than using us$ at vendors in Halifax last August.
  5. I ended up reserving a spot in the parking lot adjacent to the cruise terminal. I called them and they directed me to the parkwhiz website to reserve my parking spot. We were at the terminal last summer and saw the lot. It is uncovered, but literally next to the terminal. We used the ABM garage last summer and it was a very easy one small block walk to the terminal.
  6. What is the issue with the garage right near the terminal? Did is close in the last year or does it no longer allow cruise parking. We used it last August.
  7. Our experience with the Navigator last summer when we were booked on a b2b on Zaandam was that there was no way to access the second cruise until the first week was over. They were booked as 2 separate 7 day cruises, but the navigator would not let us access the 2nd at all. We are currently booked for a b2b next month on the Zuiderdam . Same issue for this trip. We could check in for the first leg, but zero access for the 2nd leg. I never thought I waould say anything nice about the HAL website, but it allowed us to do check in & pre-cruise purchases for either cruise leg. Good luck! I would not wait for the Navigator to get "fixed". Try the HAL website.
  8. Our PCC specifically mentioned that the HIA would not be available on our Zuiderdam b2b while I was booking. She told me that it was due to the fares that were being used for the bookings. I was fine with that. We bought the soda packages for the 3 of us and I got a package on the first leg including a bottle of Bacardi and 3 cans of Coke (~$25 less than the bottle alone?). Our son does not drink alcohol and I will pay for any wine or beer DW drinks. I would not have bought the HIA anyway.
  9. We have done several b2bs and a few involved room changes. They have goeo very smoothly for us. One we actually moved our stuff down the hall with the steward and we in before anyone else got onboard.
  10. We 3 will be cruising on the Zuiderdam on Sept 9-16 (7-day Canada & New England Discovery) for a back2back. We are also booked on the Zuiderdam for Sept 16-23 (7-day Canada & New England Discovery) for the return trip .
  11. Our son (30 yr old) has ordered virgin daquaries and virgin margaritas on many cruises. They seem to be the same except for the Alcohol. I expect that any drink can be made with the 'virgin' option.
  12. Possibly if you used a plastic bag sealer machine for those "home-made" snacks. It would make them both less detectable and less bulky.
  13. We sailed to Alaska on a b2b on Veendam out of Vancouver for our 25th anniversary. We flew out of Rochester NY to Seattle with DW, self, My Mother, Our son (15 at the time) and my Best man. We met up with a great friend who took Amtrak out of Boston to Seattle. I rented a car and drove to Vancouver for the cruise. It was late June/Early July 2008. The weather was in the 80's for 2 weeks. We had a great time for the entire cruise. It also happened to be Alaska's 50th anniversary of their statehood. DW and I had a renewal of vows ceremony on the ship and it was great. It is a long drive out West, but if you have the time available, I also recommend the drive West. We revisited Alaska 4-5 years ago by driving to Toronto , flyinf direct to Vancouver, connection to Anchorage and taking a land & sea to see Denali. The train ride was very nice to Denali, a few days there (awesome), bus back to Whittier for a 7 day cruise back to Vancouver., nonstop flight back to Toronto and drive home. If you decide on the Caribbean, I suggest a partial transit of the Panama Canal which usually includes costa Rica and the ABCs of the southern Caribbean rt out of Ft Lauderdale. Good Luck where ever you cruise and congrats on your 25th. We are traveling Boston 2 Quebec City 2 Boston next month for our 40th anniv.
  14. Even when they did put the cups in the room (several years ago), we usually needed to go to a table on the promenade or a bar to exchange some of the cups for different colors. There are usually 3 in our stateroom and for some reason the cups were all the same cup. So having to go to a bar or table to get the cups is convient for us.
  15. Thanks! 3-card is my staple, LIR for a break . Roulette for a slow loss. Boarding in a week.
  16. Does the Wonder have 3-card and or Let it ride?
  17. We each (3) had our 1st and 2nd doses at a NYS facility. When we got the boosters (3 for DW & I, 2 for Adult Son) at our local pharmacy they recorded all of them on additional cards. So we each have 2 cards ,one with 2 initial doses and one with boosters. We keep those with the passports and always bring them all along when we cruise. We have checked in for our upcoming November cruises and needed to have the passports and a credit card to complete them.
  18. Each of our Guest Ticket Booklets for our Wonder otS Nov 13th and 20th cruises have the following statement: Guests are not allowed to bring beer, hard liquor, fortified wines (vermouth, sherry, sake, and port wines) or nonalcoholic beverages onboard for consumption or any other use. I will probably bring along 2 - 6-pks of Pepsi Zero (16.9 oz) and either enjoy my morning Drink or be forced to donate them at the port. I hope you are right and my docs are not.
  19. We have had several connecting rooms (assigned) with Royal. Only one of them couls we hear the conversations next door. That family of 4 could have been heard without the connecting door! I expect that their conversation level was normal for them. I wouldn't bother changing pre-cruise for a fee. You never know who will be next door. Enjoy your cruise and maybe bring earplugs for nighttime.
  20. Our cruise Docs specifically say that "No non-alcoholic beverages are allowed to bring on board". In the past, I have often brought 12 bottles of Pepsi Zero when boarding. Lately, the rules have changed. So I leave them on shore to welcome me at departure. I don't prefer Coke products, but cola is my source of caffeine so I make do. I often add rum to mute the flavor difference.
  21. At least on Rotterdam VII they added a third "green" spot. It is the HAL logo.
  22. That was our first thought after reading the email. If DW & I were having a drink in the room , we were often able to get one of each at a bar and crediting it to 1 each voucher for us without both being present. I guess we will have to take turns going to the bar and use 2 vouchers for 1 of each drink on one card. As for tipping, we always gave the bartender/server $1 per drink in cash. I will continue to do that since I know that goes directly to the staff.
  23. Have not sailed Wonder yet but many other Royal ships, we take advantage of D+ free wash & fold (each of us are D+). If we need other than the wash & fold items, we use the regular laundry for those items. It works well for us on several b2b cruises. We will be using that on our b2b on Wonder later this month.
  24. The one we used was next to the pool bar on the Rotterdam VII. Never closed off that we remember. You can also get soda at any bar with the soda package. the machine was just a spiral staircase below the NY pizza & Deli.
