  1. It is next door to the Movenpick Central Hotel. Look up their address
  2. The Pinnacle ships don’t go to Montreal. If you want to start in Quebec City you can sail on the N.Statendam
  3. Gotcha. We don’t travel for less than 30 days at a time. My DH is a big fan of HAL and the ability to re-fare endears me
  4. Mistype. Anyway the original point was not allow status give you a false sense of security. Things can go badly and for people who live in quiet climates they need to understand that. There was a very recent NCL ship turn back to the US shortening the cruise significantly. There were outrunning a tropical storm/hurricane. There were many loud and public complaints from the passengers who were oblivious.
  5. I was going to also provide you with this link from Hopkins as their website can be difficult to maneuver https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/region/united-states I personally don’t agree with your stance but that is not important, I just think we should all use reliable data
  6. Mine are not but more importantly I was able to secure air fares and hotels at lower prices. With HAL I can change air and cruise fare up until final payment date. So if they change their fares it is not an issue. (I tend to sail long, unique itineraries which are not as subject to discounting)
  7. The Koningsdam has baseboard motion detector night lights. I was surprised they removed that feature in the NS. Next time I will be prepared
  8. @ldtr agree. That is why I filled my slate and booked as much as I could early. I locked in pre-inflationary pricing as much as I could. I bet rates are rising as we speak.
  9. Those look like a great product. Is the fabric slightly padded or sheer or somewhere in between
  10. Mostly that’s true about radar but it is not a fail safe, ask Viking and NCL passengers who were caught in storms in the very recent past.
  11. I did not say the rate wasn’t t bad. That is drawing a conclusion. I simply made an off hand comment about the current and coming interest rate environment. As I said earlier I don’t take investment advice from strangers on the internet and I certainly don’t give it either
  12. Did Ollie hold the trolley for your late arrival? I have the 9:30 tour booked with them but it sounds like the customs process may make that iffy. Any advice? Thank you
  13. When searching for undies I searched “wicking” undies. They are perfect fit, comfortable and dry quickly. Most of the wicking fabrics have a structure which also prevent odor - within limits. I tried a number of brands and all were to my standards my DH surprisingly likes his too they are also ideal for packing light
  14. I have not but other cruise critic forum members have reported back that it was a perfect experience
  15. There are monitoring services that accept any FDA test kit. Let me see if I can find one of my many links https://rapidtestandtrace.com/product/observed-test-for-travel/
  16. There are monitoring services that accept any FDA test kit. Let me see if I can find one of my many links
  17. I was able to order another 8 from the US government. I think the deal is now that over 65 can order as many as they want
  18. Wow. Lucky you. Do you have any insight as to why you were made this offer?
  19. I just use the online message form and use any topic to send. I think it might also try investor relations this week
  20. The US is late in removing air restrictions. UK removed them in early spring as did much of the EU. The remaining travel restrictions are cruise related. Both the US and Canada have testing in place for cruises. The US is “voluntary”. So many pro-testing people have filled out surveys and been very vocal the cruise lines think this is what their passengers want. I know, I write them monthly and that is the gist of the response. Speak up, let them know you don’t want this. Let congress know too.
  21. HAL requires them for the US and Canada. They are still part of the voluntary program
  22. So far it is for air but not cruises. Let’s hope cruise ships get relief too. It might make our testing even more expensive
  23. Now remove the restriction for cruise ships!
