  1. Positive thoughts. I got it for the second time after a summer cruise - but all was well.
  2. At this point I think everyone has enough information to make their own decisions. We all have personal experiences with Covid - do what you feel will help you.
  3. Seems the cruise industry is back to pre pandemic business and Covid is an after thought now. That doesn’t mean it’s gone but if they push the hysteria of Covid they would have to under sell the ships and keep quarantine protocols (whatever that would be now). They are trying to get every room filled to make sure no dollar is left in our pockets on the way out.
  4. You need 30 pills for a full dose. Maybe the casino will comp you a few🤪
  5. I generally tip if the server engages me. If they don’t I will take my meager pour and move on.
  6. I was on sunshine 3 times and besides serenity area which is the best on Carnival the ship is worn and old. They made a big mistake not getting that type of serenity area on Sunrise. I was on sunrise once and it was 8 days of cramped, dirty and a neglected ship and it was only a couple months after it was refurbed into the shape it’s in now. I was on Horizon once and they also did not maximize common areas to fit the number of people. Ship was new but again nobody keeping it up or cleaning when we were on it. I was on Fascination once and loved the small ship. Great use of common area. Miracle was my first ship and prob their best design. Magic is also well done and better than Vista class but they let her rust away and was filthy when I was on last summer. I was on been on Splendor as well 4 times and it’s as Carnival as it gets. Overall carnival can do a better job keeping their ships in better shape from outside in. The product is the same today as when I ent on my fist ship 10 years ago - nothing new. I have not been on the excel ships yet but I can say I have been on ships that are as old as the carnival ship on Celebrity/NCL/RC and they have been modernized better and the companies keep them in better shape. I will continue to cruise carnival when I can but only when it’s at the low price I want. All things equal I chose the others. Back to the point - sunshine ships are the worst carnival class and as they made more they missed the mark even more.
  7. Serious? The lawn Chair is nice but the rest is overcrowded! You have summed up all that’s wrong - the major issue! More people, less room and worn out ship.
  8. Serious question - what is better on those ships than the other classes?
  9. Sun-shined ships are tired and old. I was just next to the sunshine twice in past 4 months and the ship is rusting through its new paint colors. It’s a shame - I thought JH said they fixed the paint issue. I guess there is not enough blue paint to get all the rust covered.
  10. I have drank all the higher end scotch on the ships which have much better than other cruislines and have never been charged.
  11. Maybe carnival realized what many of see the SUNSHINED ships are terrible. If they start sunshining the conquest ships then they are really crazy. They need more new modernized ship like the other cruise companies. The excel class is a good start.
  12. I have found carnivals pictures are actually the best. They do a great job with the filters and I have never has a problem finding ones I like.
  13. You really don't know who will be on any cruise - there are always suprises! Just like you don't know who will be next to you, across from you or on top of you.
  14. I am on anthem now and they say there is starlink - still not great. Not reliable. Just my experience!
  15. I heard the reason for less food is because the food doesn’t want to come on board to be eaten. Also, with alcohol - it truly is the great equaliser for the cruise line to get more money because everyone’s drinking. Never seen a bar on a cruise that wasn’t full. And with the fact that more people are cruising at a higher price - seems like this is all working.
  16. I have always found not all minutes are equal!
  17. The are prepared under kosher supervision and are packaged in an outside kitchen, sent on to ship frozen. They are then heated up in the original packaging and must be brought to table sealed. But not prepared fresh on ship with supervision. People who are only eating these meals prob would not be cruising on the high holidays or so I’m told.
  18. I am sure for a price you can get a rabbi and full services. Maybe the captain and pull the horn for Shofer! Safer to cruise the 355 solar calendar or 344 lunar calendar days when this isn't an issue - Just a thought.
  19. Besides the four ships that were done as of October have there been any other ships to get starling?
  20. very true - platnum has some perks - I personally enjoy the laundry.
  21. I am all for perks but I don’t feel there are many diff between red and gold.
