  1. Hear the brig was full when you got back on that sailing -
  2. I did this last year - cancelled my daughter 3 days before and there was no reprice - you have paid for the room and they still get all the money from the no show. Why a reprice?
  3. Yes don’t worry they don’t have enough time to wipe down the room and there is dust and peoples clothing from the last cruise in your room - but they will come and pull up and down the bed for you when you like - JUST my experience. They are way over worked now and you can see the difference - I was on two different ships since the change and you see it.
  4. Same can be said for anything including reading these posts - 😉
  5. Funny you ask this - I always thought there was only one dock. When I got up and we were at port with Celebrity I thought we were in the wrong place because we docked somewhere else. So there are two docks -
  6. Had my January 2024 cruise cancelled when it was chartered by a group.
  7. I was tired and slept through a bit of the show - Did I miss something good and my wife didn’t wake me?
  8. The same can be said for many older ships I guess.
  9. I was on the infinity years ago before they redid her. I have been on the splendor and miracle - sorry but the infinity is not anything like a carnival ship. She is smaller than most of the ship in celebrity but her features are upscale from the carnival ships.
  10. Welcome to cc. All we do here is comment about the opinions held by the people posting. It am not sure what your first paragraph is about but it sounds nice. If all things are equal in price - I know what ship most people would be on… sometimes you get lucky with prices, but that is getting harder.
  11. Agree to disagree with people and their opinions. But you are very correct about Carnival and upkeep.
  12. Not sure why people get so hell bent on what others say - an opinion belongs to the person whose it is. Sailing out of NY the product of Carnival is not great. The demographics are very diverse and that can be a good or a bad thing depending on how rough the crowd is. I have found that Carnival out of Florida has been a better product and in my experience have been calmer. Celebrities product is much different and lends itself to be a bit more snobby. People are less open to meeting other people and are more set in their ways. The ships are less dated and are nicer - at least the ones I have been For me is I have a choice at this point I will always chose celebrity over Carnival but would go back on Carnival if the dates work out better. You pay more for Celebrity but that okay it’s like getting a suite or an inside room - one is clearly more but goes to the same place.
  13. I was just on Liberty on deck 7 in a promenade facing room. It was okay, there is only one door between the adjoining room so we heard kids cartoons from 6am and on. I paid them back with CNN at 1am. In general the Liberty is looking like it needs some TLC. The drawers in my room were all broken, there was dust on all the shelves (prob because the Stewart is too overworked to clean 25 rooms well), a sports bra left between the couch and window - lulu lemon (not cheap). The common area on the pool deck coming up, and the solarium hot tubs discolored with wood rotting around it. Definitely more wear and tear(dirt and Rust) than I saw on the freedom recently. The staff is okay, not the friendliest.
  14. If you call casino and try to book something they don’t comp you?
  15. I once had a bed bug on my pillow on Norwegian. I pulled apart the room and found nothing. Had my luggage smelled by a bed bug dog before bringing them into my house. But it happens and it was a bed bug- I kept it to show the exterminator. I didn’t call their front desk because I was afraid they would spray and put chemicals which I would not want to live with.
  16. Guarantee carnival doesn’t solve it. If you don’t like rowdy, don’t cruise from NY in the summer. It’s easy.
  17. Seems like carnival has a handle on all this - NOT!
  18. I thought here was the new code on conduct? Doesn’t seem anyone has read it who works for Carnival or has the guts to enforce it. What a joke as they keep letting these clowns on the ship to act like a— h—-les and make the average persons vacation worse.
  19. Yes. Enjoy…unfortunately some people don’t see past their own nose. I don’t have the energy or courage to do something about it. I’m always afraid a confrontation will lead to bad things. I was once threatened on “Walmart of the Seas” after my daughter was splashing in the splash zone and I told the person I didn’t see the issue. The woman sent her husband over to me to show me the railing and where he could throw me. Security was a joke on Carnival and talking to a father of some girls who were harassed on the last Royal cruise I was on he said security would not do anything but help facilitate police at the LAST port!! Really what a joke and they know it. I will say, Royal is slightly moving into the same cliental and roughness, or at least from some of the ports as Carnival. I don’t see the staff doing nearly enough to stop this. There is a code of conduct people should be held too and if not the cruise line holds the ultimate power to not offer those people future cruises to the worst offender. Trust me make a few people eat their behavior and the word will spread into better behavior and better cruises for all people.
  20. Laughing loud!! So should go tattle tale on all the 14 year olds , the loud speakers, the loud people, the diapers, the drunk, the people dumping on the floor, the people dressed like they shouldn’t... There are 4000+ people on a ship to complain about if you look at it - have fun at customer service
