  1. @Pickleballlady Also, see the following portion from the pinned thread above What is a Roll Call? Everything you Need to Know: How Do I Find my Roll Call? You can start on our main Roll Call page. From there select your ship's forum or cruise line forum for our smaller cruise lines. At the top of every ship or cruise line's Roll Call forum you should see our search tool. Use this tool to be able to locate the Roll Call for your sailing by selecting the month of your sailing. The Roll Call Finder will return results for the month of your sailing; simply locate yours and click the title of your roll call to take you to the first page of the existing Roll Call topic. You can begin joining in the fun by using the Reply to this Topic button and begin typing your reply. Click SUBMIT REPLY when you are finished typing. (Note: You must be registered and logged in with Cruise Critic to participate on a Roll Call topic since they are for members only.) What if there isn't a Roll Call for my sailing? You can start one! Click ROLL CALLS Click your Ship's or Cruise Line's name to open the correct forum Click the Start New Topic button at the top of the Ship's roll call forum. In the Title Box, type the name of your ship, your sail date and year. When you create a new ROLL CALL topic, you MUST include the sail date in the subject line, and here's the suggested format: Example: January 1, 2016 Please note the suggested date format with the month first and spelled out completely will help your new Roll Call topic appear in search results Type a message in the message box and click the Submit Topic button. Important to Note: Some Roll Calls get started very early, others start closer to sailing dates; some are very active; some tend to be a bit more quiet. Regardless of how active a Roll Call is, this is a great opportunity to meet your fellow Cruise Critic members sailing with you. Once you have located your ROLL CALL topic for your line, ship and sail date, you should either bookmark the URL, or follow the discussion so that you will receive e-mail notification of new posts. To follow a ROLL CALL topic or any topic on any forum: Click Follow at the top of the topic Choose how you would like to be alerted: One email per day with all new content from that day One email per week with all new content from that week Do not send me any notifications Let others see that I follow this Save your choices by clicking the follow button at the bottom of the list. Please note: If you are a new member, your preference is set to automatically follow any topic that you start or reply to. You will receive an email and notification when any new content is posted to your followed topics. You can always change your preferences by clicking on your member name and choosing Manage Followed Content from the drop down menu. In the future if you ever want to locate your previous posts you can read more here: How to Find your Own Posts
  2. Contact CC Help Michell for the definitive answer at help@cruisecritic.com from your Cruise Critic email address of record & include your user name. She has taken over CC Help Jenn's job duties. I imagine she will tell you the Invision Community software Cruise Critic uses was in "overload" at the time you clicked ENTER. I used "blu menu" for a search on the Celebrity Cruises forum using This Forum & All of my search term words along with Content terms and body. Then when the list appeared, on SORT BY I changed Relevancy to Date so the newest would be at the top. There were 138 results.
  3. Howdy @Snooping around I see you posted on your Roll Call thread titled CORAL PRINCESS - 22nd July 2022 - 7 night Queensland Coast on June 22, 2022 at 12:05 AM (my time zone) in post #33. That is when you "joined" the Roll Call thread for you and the other Cruise Critic members sailing that cruise. I suggest you use the Follow feature on your Roll Call thread or any other thread where you are interested in the new posts. That way you will not have to go looking to see if there are new posts on your Followed threads because they will all come looking for you as notifications! If you need more info on how to do it, please click the following: How to: Follow Topics & Forums (Subscribed Threads/Forums Info) Hope this will be helpful and so glad to have you back aboard Cruise Critic! 4. Howdy @smokey15 Thank you for your new thread on the Need Help Using the Forums? Check Here! forum. However, please note the following information is at the top of each page in this forum: Note: This area is intended only for questions and answers relating to technical assistance in using these message boards. Please do not post general cruise-related questions or Roll Calls here. I see by your IP address that you are in the UK. To help you out, your thread has been moved to the P&O Cruises ( UK ) forum where it will be on topic. Browse through thread titles here on this new forum and look for titles of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that will be of interest to you. I suggest you use the Follow feature on this thread or any other thread where you are interested in the new posts. That way you will not have to go looking to see if there are new posts on your Followed threads because they will all come looking for you as notifications! 5. Yes, the news appeared here on October 2, 2021. See this "oldie but goodie" thread from back then, post #23: Galveston Port Parking
  6. @iluvcruzin Howdy Maureen Perhaps further explanation will be helpful. Posting your message on this forum is not what needed to be done. Please remember, since Cruise Critic does not review messages before they are posted and cannot read through the thousands of messages posted each day, Cruise Critic depends on you and all your fellow Cruise Critic members for help. As stated in the Guidelines, "We encourage you to utilize the reporting system built into the board system; you'll find a Report a Post icon located in the upper right hand corner of the posting. Use it! We will review the report and take appropriate action." Just click the ellipsis (the three dots next to the post number) for options. A list will appear. Click Report so the Report post screen will open. If it is a whole thread that needs to be reported, click the ellipsis on the first post in the thread for the Report post screen to open. You will see a list for Why do you want to report this? If your reason is one of the reasons listed, click the radio button next to the reason. If not listed, just type your message about the problem post into the Report post text box where it says, "Optionally enter a message with your report." When done with your message, click Submit Report. Your part is done at that point. Please do not quote or reply to the reported post. Your quote or reply post as well as any other posts or quotes concerning the reported post or thread will be removed from sight along with the reported post. A User Reported Content list of reports is generated for review to all Hosts and Administrators. The list will automatically show the important information they MUST have such as the forum name, thread title or post in addition to your message. The volunteer Hosts or paid Administrators will review your Report post report when they can. I say "when they can" because all e-mails and Report post reports to Cruise Critic are answered in order of receipt. With almost two million members and some sending e-mails and reports 24/7 from all over the world, please be patient for any action. Also, please remember the Hosts are non-paid volunteers and work the boards when their real life permits. Most Administrators work regular weekday business hours. If you have any questions/comments/feedback concerning the information about the Report feature, please note the following from the Guidelines: "... If you have any questions or comments regarding our posting guidelines or any content found on our message boards please be sure and let me know. I'll be happy to discuss them with you.LauraSSenior Manager, Communitycommunity@cruisecritic.com ..." Please send your email with your questions/comments/feedback to LauraS, Senior Manager, Community at community@cruisecritic.com. Also, please send the email from your Cruise Critic email address of record and be sure to mention your Cruise Critic user name. This is so your membership can be verified, and reply sent to your Cruise Critic email address of record. If your current Cruise Critic email address of record is not correct and needs to be updated before you send your email, please see the following: How to: Change your Cruise Critic Email Address or User Name Hope this information will be helpful to anyone reading this thread. 8. @Ecady Planning your time in port can be daunting and research-intensive. If you're trying to decide between two shore excursions or want recommendations for a tour guide, ask your fellow Cruise Critic members on the Ports of Call - Europe forums. In your case, research your ports on the British Isles/Western Europe and Northern Europe & Baltic Sea forums. Not only will they tell you their favorite and less preferred shoreside adventures, but they'll likely post beautiful photos and detailed instructions, too -- down to bus routes and walking maps. Browse through the thread titles there and look for titles of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that will be of interest to you.
  9. Actually, the Roll Call Finder Tool is used by members when they are looking to see if there is an established Roll Call thread for their cruise. There is one at the top of most ship Roll Call forums. Here is a sample clip: As long as the sail date in the Roll Call thread title is in the suggested format mentioned in How To: Create A New Roll Call shown below, the Roll Call Finder Tool works just fine. Click ROLL CALLS Click your Ship's (or Cruise Line's)name to open the correct forum Browse the topic titles shown in the forum to double check there is no existing Roll Call topic for your sail date. Click the Start New Topic button at the top of the Ship's roll call forum. In the Title Box, type the name of your ship, your sail date and year. When you create a new ROLL CALL topic, you MUST include the sail date in the subject line, and here's the suggested format: Example: January 1, 2016 Please note the suggested date format with the month first and spelled out completely will ensure your new Roll Call topic appear in search results Type a message in the message box and click the Submit Topic button.

  20. Thanks! However, even though their website is automatically taking reservations for the party... will there be an invitation in your stateroom as in the past? Will there actually be a party as in the past? Have any recent Celebrity cruises actually had a party? I'm still curious. And I am sure LauraS would want to know for sure too!
  21. Yep, that's the "usual" reply from the "usual suspects". Sometimes it helps to give them the link to the page on their website. Once they see it, then they go scrambling to find someone for an answer to the cruiser's inquiry. Please note the following appears at the bottom of their webpage https://www.celebritycruises.com/ca/cruise-critic-connections: Any questions or comments related to Celebrity Cruises/Cruise Critic Connections may be emailed to connections@celebrity.com. However, in the past our members have stated to me the email address is not a valid email address. It wouldn't hurt for you to try it and see if it may be working now. Also, please note the following appears on the Cruise Critic Meet & Mingle page as I type this message: On June 14, 2022 I asked LauraS, Community Manager, at community@cruisecritic.com the following: Does the Meet & Mingle page need to be updated? Basically, curious to know if any of the cruise lines with an official partnership with Cruise Critic currently in the PAUSED list have un-paused. Her reply: Thanks Kat. None of the lines have unpaused.
  22. Here is one of the previous threads in this forum that addresses the issue: Hidden posts If you do send an email as mentioned in the thread, be sure to send your email from your Cruise Critic email address of record and mention your user name.
