I'm the same way now. I've all but given up on hotel shuttles. Between standing at the airport for 40 minutes after flying to being told they only run at certain times and time I want is all full, I'd rather just pay Uber and get picked up or dropped off when I actually want it.

I'm curious to know from those who have sailed Pride of America what their experience has been. As a regular Royal cruiser this is my first time on NCL. I'm a heavy internet user while aboard ships. I need access for work reasons and I typically buy Royal's higher quality service. I would need to FaceTime, send and receive files and use wifi calling. The free at sea package give me 250 minutes. They are offering an upgrade for $179. I've got a couple of questions. Since we are just circumnavigating the islands is it possible to stay connected to my carrier (AT&T) for internet service and not need their wifi? I know I'll have access to it when we're docked in port but what about at night? Also, what is the difference between the wifi I'm given as part of the promotion and the "premium wifi upgrade". Is the bandwidth better with the upgraded premium wifi? Second, issue is the shore excursions credit as part of the free at sea package. On the first full day of our cruise my wife would like an excursion that I have no interest in. My intention was to book it for her and I'd just rent a scooter in town and zoom around on my own. When I go to book it it appears that the credit can only be attached to first person on the booking. Is there a simple way to overcome this? My thought was to book it in my name and just have the shore excursion people change it up once on board but then became concerned that that may not be possible since "cancelations" are limited to 48 hours prior. I'd hate for DW to lose out since this excursion is on our first full day and a 48 hour period wouldn't be possible. I apologize in advance if the answers to these questions are obvious. For me they weren't.

Paper menus were on Ovation in August and Navigator in Sept. I didn't have to ask, they just provided them immediately after we sat down.

Yes this is the right way... If you had chosen traditional dining MTD would not show up on your cruise planner. There is no longer any pre-cruise entertainment reservations required. Everything is done on app once you board the ship and are hooked to their wifi.

Last December we sailed out of Galveston and looking back on the pictures I see that DW was wearing a coat. I'd assume that means it was cool.

I was born and raised in Canada. It was my home for 50 of my 56 years. I know something about winter. I have never, to my knowledge, worn a scarf. LOL I don't even think about putting on a hoodie until the mercury hits 45°. And much colder than that for an actual coat. I remember skiing in -25° and buying a balaclava... I hated it and threw it away after an hour.

Oh man this has me so stoked for my November Hawaii cruise on POA. We dock in Kahului but the plan is to head over to Lahaina for the day. We overnight there as well. Hulu grill has just been added to the plan.

I'd book now. When I was on Navigator in September there was no mask wearing on board or on excursions. Only time I put on a mask was in the embarkation hall. They said it was a county of LA rule. I took it off as soon as I was walking up the gangway. Only had the mask on for 15 minutes. On debarkation I grabbed one of the masks they were offering as you got to the bottom of the gangway but upon entering the debarkation hall saw that not a single CBP agent had one on. I took mine off and no one said a thing to me. I suspect that any other port would be different than LA.

Thanks, I miss my little buddy. He was the most unique pet I have ever had. He had more personality than any previous dog or cat we've ever owned. Every week or so we stumble across a little something of his, an old toy or leftover bag of litter, that needs to be disposed of. My wife has talked about replacing him but I want to wait until we don't travel for work so much. It's unbelievable how these little guys weave themselves into your emotions.
