  1. Sadly, I was not on the the cruise. It was my Grand Daughter I was getting the information for. She is an inexperienced cruiser and inexperienced traveler. That being said, she said it was a fabulous cruise and she and her new husband had an amazing time.!
  2. I'm sure it is just speculation on the posters part. However, the state department numbers indicate more Americans have passports now than in the past it stands to reason that more people cruising are cruising with passports. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/about-us/reports-and-statistics.html
  3. The line debarking is different for passengers without passports. With passports you're off quicker and easier at most ports. With BC the line is slow but still not long as the vast majority appear to be going out the passport line.
  4. Shrewd. I'll be D+ soon and be looking at that possibly. I'll never be prime though.
  5. I got it for $80 on a port day on Navigator recently... I wasn't planning on getting off the ship so it seemed like good value to me. 🙂
  6. I'm wondering the same thing. Based on reports we're seeing on ships recently there is a very high number of new cruisers.
  7. Oh wow another thread about how expensive things are... 🤣
  8. I'd email now and failing that see the concierge right away. AL_concierge01@RCCL.com
  9. It will start with Icon and Wonder and slowly expand across the fleet. I wouldn't hold my breath. Nothing specific has happened or been announced for the first two ships yet.
  10. Definitely following along these great four posters!
  11. The pre-cruise cruise planner price will always be substantially cheaper. If you are going to get it you'd be better off getting before you get on board.
  12. We'll see change for sure... That the changes will be negative is entirely speculative. I remember when they cancelled the free wine and beer at HH in the diamond lounge in lieu of the vouchers. Some posters thought the sky was falling. Now everyone realizes this is a tremendous upgrade in loyalty benefits.
  13. Of these 7 the only ones that are removed have nothing to do with "saving money". It has to do with capacity and access. Why would you accuse them of removing benefits to save money when there is no evidence that that is the case. What you haven't included in your list is the benefits that they have added. The biggest being 5 drinks per person per day. This is very valuable for most people and vastly exceeds the inconsequential changes like priority boarding and reserved seating. Most people get to board whenever they want. At many ports they have streamlined the boarding process so efficiently that you are curb to ship in less than 15 minutes. There are always seats available in the Main theatre for almost every show and very few are truly bad seats. How many times do you want to go on a bridge tour. That's a one and done for me... You still get wash and fold you still get your wine you still get access to Crown Lounge. Your speculations about limiting access to D's is only a minor degrading of the benefit. you still get internet for 24 hours, 48 if you are d+ The constant hand wringing and pearl clutching over degrading benefits on this forum gets old... It still the best loyalty program in the cruise industry by a fair measure.
  14. All I can give is my experience and that’s the way it has always been. I’m absent minded and forget often. Then I have to walk back and tell DW logon and punt me my extra device off.
  15. Definitely bottled water. I can't remember the brand but it was the standard, generic plastic bottles like you get at Costco or Walmart.
  16. That's what they usually serve at the Top Tier event. Did they have a top tier as well?
  17. We've had it happen once. They didn't ask... Taxes and fees were credited to the card before we were off the ship. All was good. Don't stress about it.
  18. The latest ones I can find online right now is Jan 20th so it looks like two days is possible.
