  1. Some thoughts on the Trinity and why people are so complicated! Hope you have a lovely day today. God bless, David 😀 https://youtu.be/Bcc8mxPKbis?si=AJWrGxORLfbBdR-X
  2. Good morning. 13°C and partly sunny here. I hope everyone is safe and well. Nothing planned for today as we are still feeling the effects of a cold. I wish everyone a happy day.
  3. Thank you Bob. I used to practice golf a lot. Arthritis runs in my late mam's family and has affected me for close to 40 years which I controlled with Ibuprofen anti inflammatory medication. After my heart attack 4 and a half years ago I wasn't allowed to take anti inflammatory medication with my heart medication combined with having to take statins meant arthritis took over. I miss my golf enormously. The only good thing is now I spend a lot of time on Cruise Critic instead of being on the golf course and made a lot of friends on P&O, Royal Caribbean forums as well as on the Daily.
  4. At breakfast in Quays there is an English breakfast section. Pancakes section. Omelette section. Continental section. We used it 12 out of 14 mornings and it was quick and perfect for us.
  5. On Iona in March Epicurean and Sindhu was never more than 70% full in the 13 nights we went in. Beach house was full the night we dined in there. I actually prefer pre-booking because of the online discount and loyalty discount taken off and knowing if we have a later embarkation we are not panicking to get the times we want. The downside is we are pulling out almost £500 pre-cruise for speciality dining which our large OBC would be used for this if booked onboard. Graham.
  6. Hi Gill. We were on Iona in November January. March. The food was lovely in all the Speciality restaurants at dinner and in the MDR at lunchtime. The Quays was quick and convenient at breakfast and lunchtime and the food was nice and lots of it. Graham x
  7. I'm pleased you managed to book what you wanted. What ship are you on? On our last Iona cruise in March some of the entertainment and excursions were sold out pre-cruise but fortunately I managed to pre-book our speciality restaurants every night at a cost to ensure we got what we wanted but just spent the last of our £700 OBC on the last day.
  8. Good evening. We have had a lazy day today. It has been partly sunny and is 60°F at 17.32pm. I hope everyone is safe and in good health.
  9. Well done for still playing golf so well at 78 I sold my golf clubs 2 weeks ago after not playing for several years through my knee and hip arthritis. My best score was a 73 on a hard and long par 73 course when I was fit and playing off 7 handicap.
  10. Thank you for today's daily reports. It is 62°F and partly sunny here. Brown bags are much better than plastic bags for the environment. Missing children day is so important. Madeline McCann is the most well known missing child in the UK. I will give today's food and drink a miss. Prayers uplifted for everyone who is unwell. I wish everyone a happy day.
  11. Thank you Kalos. Pauline has been coughing all night and just took another test. It is sunny and 14°C here. I hope everyone is feeling well and you all have a wonderful bank holiday weekend.
  12. Thank you. I hope your husband is feeling better soon too.
  13. Your cabin looks lovely. I hope you have a wonderful cruise.
  14. Thank you. We both tested negative this morning.
  15. Thank you Avril. I hope you and Frank are both well and you get to book a flight to Madeira or somewhere closer to home. Graham.
  16. It is a worry when some of our regulars disappear. I got Pauline to join CC plus I email a couple of American friends who are on CC who would post if anything happened to me. We have both been a bit poorly today and lay on the bed watching TV all day.
