  1. If Fiona goes up the east coast that could be a very bouncy cruise unless they switch itinerary to Canada and you get back to NJ before the storm is that far north. Hopefully it fizzles out or goes further out to sea by the time you board.
  2. I guess they didn't check their app for daily charges to their account before the end of the cruise. It sure would have been much easier to go to guest services onboard then struggling after the cruise to get it fixed.
  3. I, too, have IT luggage ultra light for my large bags and have a small London fog carryon that I love as well as another London Fog overnight bag that is great too. I have no plans of getting hard sided luggage any time in my future.
  4. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this? I sure hope the 2 bucks are okay and made their way back to land. https://www.nantucketcurrent.com/watch-two-deer-spotted-swimming-a-mile-off-nantucket
  5. You may want to go on roll calls for Explorer that was saying out of SJ earlier this year and ask if they were allowed to leave ship after check in. In the past you would be allowed. I don't see any reason why you couldn't. I think explorer sailed out of SJ last winter into April, ask those roll calls.
  6. We love Radiance class ships. We have sailed several sailings on Quantum and Oasis class but out of all my future bookings the one I'm really looking forward to is on Serenade. More relaxed, more of an intimate cruise, IMO.
  7. I'm really excited for you and your wife. This will be an amazing trip and happy to join you on your holiday thru this thread🤩
  8. I never heard of Hula pie and just looked it up. OMG, that looks crazy good.
  9. @Radio I never noticed the Unboxed vending machine room on deck 15. where was it located? Great idea!
  10. aplomb is a word I have not used in a while but it seem appropriate for my post. It would be 2024 (1 yr 6 mos) when he turns 65. Neither of us ever worked for an employer that offered pensions. 😪 401K's but no pensions. there was one nationwide builder that offered stock options after there for 10 years but guess what they seemed to get rid of anyone within a couple months of their 10 yr anniversary. right now we really good health insurance with his current employer (my previous employer). We pay next to nothing for the 2 of us to be covered. that in itself is a huge benefit as I dread the day when we have to shop for a supplemental plan as Eric's medications and various doctor appointments (transplant recipient) are not cheap. For now, I figure stick with the mortgage biz as long as he can (some mortgage companies have begun layoffs). He occasionally cook but mostly on the grill. I have spoiled him.
  11. After hearing the stories of those couple of passengers we met in Nassau pier, of others getting sick after beef stew, etc. onboard and me getting raw chicken sandwich I am sure it was the sausage sitting out too long that got to Charlie. Good luck with insurance. I am sorry that I asked about the ins. claim if you did not want to mention on this thread.
  12. @Sea Dogis your itinerary western Caribbean? I was just on the James VanFleet, RCL weather guy and looks like the newest tropical storm is headed to PR so you should be fine if I am looking at correct ship/itinerary.
  13. On our last cruise after parking Eric decided to text me our location so we would remember a week later. I remembered but he didnt😁
  14. Thats great! Sounds like something we should get for our shore house that will be vacant for a couple months this winter and one for primary home. I didn't see prices are they expensive?
