The Discovery suite perks do not compare to the Haven IMO. Princess does not escort you onboard ahead of all others like NCL does, there is no separate dining room, lounge, bar, pool area, and hot tubs for suite pax on Princess, and there is no butler. Of course, the price reflects that difference. Haven prices are usually much higher than Princess suites. I have not been on Celebrity so I can’t compare.

I wonder if they plan on doing that with the new Sphere class. The experiment was/is the Sky Suite experience with the added perks, including reserved seating and priority access to certain events.

This could be why. You need to go through them.

I used a TA and this is what I did to pay. Your TA gets notified of the upgrade and may call you to make sure you are good with the upgrade. That’s what mine did.

Log into your account. Under your cruise account go to Payments. It will show that you owe the difference. Congrats on your suite!

They are saying that you have a strong bid and that if passengers in cabins you bid on fail to show up for some reason, you may get upgraded to their cabin.

Did they say why they were not doing this? Lack of staff?

No. You may want to talk to the concierge upon boarding.

We really enjoyed up the 360 experience. The food and pairings were great! Would I do it again and pay? Yes, if they were highlighting a different region.

You are able to request these items. My guess is that they don’t want to waste items if you don’t use/need them.
