  1. What was her primary insurance? They would come into this before GeoBlue. Same with MedJet I believe. It goes to the primary insurance first.
  2. Spif- I did not say "cast aside". In fact I enjoy E-Class ships too. But I think they are being built for the next generation of cruising. I will come along for the ride, but I like S- Class and M- Class better as a personal choice. Others dislike E-class and there are lots of threads and comments on this topic. X still wants me because I spend a lot of money and mostly sail in suites. I'm not so convinced that they want E, E+ and Z cruisers in lower priced categories and have to pay out perks. But just my opinion.
  3. hmmm.... sounds like you have experience with this.
  4. HAL does lean toward the older cruising clientele. As for Celebrity, some of us long time (and older!) cruisers (like me) are not the highest priority for them anymore. We need to just accept that or move elsewhere (like to HAL). Sure they will still take our money. But why pay out perks for Elite and above when they can attract younger people just starting to cruise and just starting to get hooked on their CC Loyalty program? And stay in suites. That is their economic future. You need to look no further than the 3 Edge class ships sailing, and soon followed by Ascent. And then a 5th one in the works. Most, but not all, of us more seasoned Celebrity cruisers prefer S-Class and M-Class. So why build 5 new E-class ships with Infinite Verandas and large dedicated suite areas? For the younger, up and coming crowd.
  5. Sorry trying to just add a bit of humor to an already off the rails thread.
  6. That's such good news. Now you don't have to overload your luggage with a tube of Chap Stick!😊
  7. Don't dwell too much on the OP's post. We all have expectations for cruising decorum I imagine. I guess there is a certain expected class of people with a high degree of sophistication that maybe goes along with the images in the Celebrity ads and commercials. But they still let me on the ship anyway! BTW, I do eat some fried foods on occasion (when DW is not looking!). Last cruise I had severe back problems too (true story) so at times I could barely stand! But I don't smoke and I wear decent clothes to dinner so I guess I get some points for that. Perhaps I will get booted down to RCCL at some point.☺️
  8. You can search here on reviews for S3 Magic Carpet Sky suites on Edge, Apex and Beyond. Most people love them and do not notice the Magic Carpet. It is usually stationary and not in your line of vision.
  9. I wonder what would happen if Celebrity offered a second lobster tail for free, but it was fried ? That would be a dilemma to those fried food naysayers I bet!😃 And no french fries at the Mast Grill? Mutiny for sure.
  10. Not sure why it would upset anybody. It is your experience, perception and opinion. I have cruised a few times post Covid and as recently as 2 months ago in 2023. I have not seen or noticed any of this on any recent cruise. Maybe you had some bad instances but I don't believe (IMO) that this is a general downward trend in passenger behavior. If you are referring to passenger demographics (and I think you are by some of your comments)- that is a very slippery slope.
  11. The lowest price suite is typically an S3 Sky Suite along the Magic Carpet. You could look there now and do the comparison.
  12. Yes GeoBlue is an annual policy that is supplemental health insurance for international travel (multiple land trips and cruises).
  13. There you go again Ken. Presenting the facts. Shame on you. It ruins a good thread!😀 (Although it does say some other counties could be added later (after Feb 2024?).
  14. Cellar Masters usually serves wine, and a limited selection of spirits (bourbon, scotch).
  15. That would have an quite an expensive future beer!
  16. Thank you! Glad you enjoyed Reflection!
  17. Yes the butler always asks on your first meeting what you want in your mini-fridge.
  18. You will be Elite on Celebrity, but that does not get you much additional if you are in a suite. You get most everything anyway. But you will get a free bag of laundry for each of you. But if you are in a higher level suite (above Sky suite or Celebrity suite) you will get additional benefits such as Specialty dining included. https://www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/staterooms/suite-class
  19. Also you can get an extra lobster tail at a Specialty restaurant like Murano without an extra charge.
