  1. Good morning everyone, it’s grey this morning here and I think we got rain this afternoon again it’s just nonstop at the moment and not good for the whole week, I was up early this morning got my washing and drying done early and I’m washing or treating my wooden floors at the moment so I’m sat in a corner waiting for it to dry and watching the scammers program, it’s amazing what you can learn with all these new phone scams coming out . Have a great day everyone, especially Kalos what ever you’re doing, hope your well though and I’m pleased Wowzz is still posting around some where but didn’t catch on where as I didn’t understand the prunes!😂
  2. I love porridge but with syrup or sugar , I know very bad in the eyes of the Scottish 😬 my husband is Scottish and he has salt in it !! The proper way he says but it’s awful like that 🤮
  3. Oh no I hope you got enough to get through the bb if not ask at reception asp before they all go , your room looks lovely and spacious, the lunch menu great and I’m ok with the evening menu a few things I’d choose on that , and happy you had a very easy boarding.
  4. Well it’s sunny and blue skies here but wet and due to rain again later , I have my grandson staying again this weekend and also last weekend, I’m off to see my son and his partner dog today her name is dolly and is 1 1/2 and has just had her toe amputated due to pulling her claw out when she was a puppy and it’s now caused problems, she’s looking very sorry for herself so taking her a few treats.
  5. Thank you I was a bit curious because my husband doesn’t have a separate jacket or sports jacket some call it he just has suits, obviously he’s got the tux and velvet jackets so just wondering if the men wear the trousers with the matching jacket and open neck shirt if you know what I mean or a completely different colour jacket .
  6. Seafarer68 , thank you for asking these questions especially the dining one about a jacket required for smart evenings, but I have also a question about a tie or no tie or just an open shirt with a jacket? We have our first Cunard cruise next June on QE and love dressing for dinner but I want to be shaw of what I need to pack for my husband as it’s a fly cruise.
  7. I hope you had a lovely day Graham with Pauline and Sarah.
  8. Have a wonderful time on Iona and I hope the weather is bright and sunny for you .
  9. Selbourne I hope you and mrs selbourne have a fantastic cruise and get your choice of dining etc , we are doing the exactly the same itinerary in December on Aurora on a saver fare and hopefully get late dining at 8.30 table for two. Hope your travels down to Southampton are trouble free, it will be very busy tomorrow and could be flooded in certain parts of the road in as we have had a lots of rain and parts were flooded last week so take care and enjoy your cruise.🥂🍾🛳️
  10. Well I do have a little experience here , probably about 15 years worth 😂 from the pictures below I have used these carriers for 15 or more years and I have not had 1 breakage, I take my bottles on in my checked luggage and hand luggage because they are not connected to each other going through security 😄 normally I take two on each large suitcase and 1 in small case, they are very reliable, the double sealed ones pack flat in my case if I’m buying specific wine abroad , plenty to look at on amazon that’s where I got mine from, hope this answers your query 😉
  11. Well enjoy Ventura next week we have to wait until January 2025 then 35 nights on her
  12. Selbourne we too have one red and one white bottle of wine on the go and mix and match to what ever we fancy drinking at the time , we always had the bottles waiting for us on the table on Arcadia and if we finished one bottle that evening we would always order another one for the following night ready, hate having to wait for my wine when we want it just before our starters .
  13. Glad you enjoyed your cruise jeanlyon and yorkshirephil , we are on Aurora 1st December and I’m looking to book the epicurean and the beach house, just wondering if you had a meal in these two restaurants and what you actually thought as it’s been 20 years since I was on her and I think a few things have changed 😁
  14. Sorry I’m just catching up on this and Sue I am so sorry to hear about your dad my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time , I can only express what others have said about “Tell me once “ and asking for about 6 copies of death certificate, it cuts the stress down a little being prepared as some established departments request them and I think we went through 3 , again take time about everything and only have one goal each day and ask for help when you need it . Virtual hug from us all .
  15. I’m absolutely very happy for you and mrs Selbourne and this is going to be a cruise of a life time, can’t wait to hear all about it once it’s here but no pressure to do a daily blog or anything but just popping in now and again when you get free Wi-Fi at the ports , not unless you can wiggle a Wi-Fi plan now😂😂
  16. Good morning it’s starting to get a bit chilly now during the night so I think it’s time to put the quilt inside the cover on the bed now . I have a question for anyone that’s been on Aurora recently do they have starlink internet on board? We have a offer at the moment for 15% off internet prices and I want to see if’s it’s available.
  17. Ohhhhh Denny’s graham we lived in there when we lived in Canada, I think I would be two tone Tessie now if we stayed.😂
  18. I knew you were away Graham by all that broccoli you were having 😂 I’m very pleased you both had a lovely holiday in the sun , now let’s get back to our breakfast views please of bacon butties and se views 😎
  19. John I’m interested in opening a flexi plus account now and do you know if I opened one just in my name it also covers my husband ( travel insurance) for just £13 a month do I have to open a joint account and we both pay £13 a month so £26 , I’ve just had a quick look on website but can’t find that answer .
  20. Morning Andy that made me laugh, I really think I fell off because I was not a experienced bike rider and it was about 12 years ago I sat on a bike , having said that my husband had never rode a bike in 25 years plus and managed to stay on his 😂.anyway here’s who I booked through Rail Ninja which was £74 one way , which at the time was the only website that sold the tickets early and gave a nice list of all the times For our bike rental it was www.visit Norway.com then you hit for the company website and it comes up with Cafe Rallaren Bike rental, ( or just look up Cafe Rallaren bike rental) it’s right at the stop where the train stops to come back you can’t miss it , all different prices for different sized bikes ours was Kr520 for medium full suspension bike which you need after doing 20ks cycling 🥴 OR he could do ! Flam railway then Flam zip line & cycle Nok 1600 which cuts out the 22 hairpins and gravel, but you really miss out on the views of the beautiful waterfalls . Norways best .com the flam railway prices for one way is from Nok 410 to 470 which I think prices were cheaper but we couldn’t get booked on them , I booked in the December and we went in June . Im sure he will be fine and I’m glad we done it for the experience but just wished we done it when we were younger and fitter.
  21. Hi Andy I’m just catching up on this tonight or shall I say the wee hours in the morning, yes it was me that fell of the bike , il do some research in the morning to see the company I did it through.
  22. Absolutely good news for you and I hope you get much better sleep at night now , don’t stress over not speaking to them anyway because they certainly didn’t stress over making your life a misery with their plans, the planners were probably friends or related to the neighbours trying it on it’s a who knows who situation, I’m pleased for your outcome.
  23. Sorry to hear about your medication Dave and I certainly hope you get it resolved soon, as for your beenie hat well now you have that extra nice new warm woolly one ready for the winter.😊
  24. Indianna I love it !! You must never stop even if the pennies get less and the ice cream increases, they will never forget your generosity and maybe make it their ritual when they have children, I know I do stuff that my mother did for me and now I do for my children and grandchildren, ie buying first pram and first pair of grandchildren Clark’s shoes and first day of school shoes. I honestly don’t know why this is coming out underlined I’ve touched something 😂
