Good morning everyone, well it’s hot , hot , hot , here in fuerteventura it’s been 31 and believe it or not no wind to keep cool with it , had to keep walking up to the swimming pool yesterday to cool down it’s not far just two houses away , it’s good to see dad looking so well after our March scare , taking sister in law to airport today and out for dinner so a relaxing day as you can’t do too much in this heat , I think for the next week we have some wind coming and cloudy but the temperature will still be there , I have the patio doors open all night trying to keep cool but then early in the morning you can here the aeroplanes starting up on the runway and taking off 🥴 never mind I’d rather this than rain but wished my sister had aircon. Enjoy your day everyone 🌞

Where you in Scotland by any chance, just saying because of the tartan carpet 😁 we were in Dunfermline last week and the hotel had tartan carpet too , looks lovely anyway where ever it was .

It’s really been quiet on here for a few days now , I restrained myself from posting lots of holiday pictures and food porn 🥹 my bruises have almost gone and I’ve almost lost all the weight I put on in a week which was a lot 😱 , just catched up on all washing and ironing and now packing to go to fuerteventura to look after father in law for a while & dog while my sister in law comes home to see her grandchildren, it’s hot out there 31 so not to bad . Im a little bit worried that Wowzz has not been on the boards for quite a while now so I hope all is well with him and his family. Take care everyone and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Im following along your trip to the midnight sun jeter02 , I just got off sky when you embark on Saturday, we had a fantastic cruise and I hope you do too , I certainly recommend the Catch by Rudi lovely food and they even blocked off both ends so you don’t get people walking by like before.

Thank you graham and yes I’m a lot better the swelling has gone down from my knees and the bruises which are all over are changing from black to yellow now so another couple of days and should be gone 🤞

This is a much calmer ride because you’re just over halfway down but honestly missing a great more better views and raging water falls from the top onwards and the only bonus as well you can stop as many times as you like taking your time to take photos and having a picnic , going at your pace and not a tour guide pace . If you want me Sarah to post the link or name of the place we hired bikes from I will but it’s the same place you all get off the train on the platform before you all have to get back on the train to come back down

Lovely sunny weather in Akureyri today just done a 8 hour excursion, brilliant, so here some pics

There wasn’t a ship tour to do this because I really think it’s not safe for the elderly and especially bike novice like me , but if he’s a keen cyclist and obviously a lot younger than me I’d say it’s fine for him because the path is always busy with others doing it , but there is a second option, train up and zip line halfway down and then from there you can cycle to flam all safe from there on because it’s tarmac road from there , so much to see it was worth my bruises but I was very lucky, I booked it all privately, book the train asp , I booked 6 months before and it was tight for seats then .

That’s a shame Brian but at least no bones were broken! I haven’t been posting for a few days because I had a accident in Flåm on Tuesday I went up the mountain on the train and we hired bikes to ride down and I fell off just at the beginning of the start of the hairpin bends and fell 20 feet down a ravine, no broken bones but badly bruised everywhere the purple and black ones 🥲 (so no getting into my swim suit for rest of cruise) had to walk the rest of the hairpin bends down as it’s so steep and all loose gravel and it had knocked my confidence down. It took us 3 hours to get back to port and we both really enjoyed the lovely scenery and waterfalls and stopping for picnic but was overjoyed in getting of those saddles and I will never get on a bike again 😂😂. Today we are arriving in Akureyri Iceland and it’s cold 8 degrees and raining.

Had a lovely day in Bergen today sunny and 16 dgs felt hotter because I was in my swimming costume sunbathing, walked around the town again and the fish market, off to glam now , up on the train first then cycling down, then getting ready for the chefs table tomorrow night , managed to get a invite 😜 so food porn tomorrow, tonight’s drink which is massive, oh one tip is dontip the waiter because he takes such good care of you and ales gives you double and this tipped up 10 minutes before dinner so kept it for pudding 😂 strawberry margarita and baked Alaska

Had a fantastic day yesterday food was fantastic in the crown grill they made us a big chocolate cake and sang happy anniversary to us and our cabin steward gave a bottle of fizz , it’s starting to get cold now and grey skies were due in at Bergen at 2 tomorrow, delayed due to generator being serviced but it’s going to go sunny, dinner tonight being formal was ok had duck but no beef wellington or lobster! Lots of places to sit and relax and lots of Americans on ship and making lots of new friends

I like a Constance breeze in my face ! Puts the electric bills up now, I’m not my husband’s favourite person for 6 months now while the weather getting hotter

It goes everywhere with me zapp can’t live without it , and you what the crew always want one , so I’m thinking next time I’m on in September I’m buying a few more to give them instead of last night extra tips , they still get ther normal tips etc but I think fans at the end 😂
