  1. Yikes, page 7, where have I been, certainly not keeping up with you, you are amazing, btw still waiting for those “lashes” to acquire their own carry-on.
  2. I love, yes love, black licorice. If I lived closer I would take it off your hands!
  3. @hapytobehr and @Crusin Karen - true confessions - I know I would not have been as gracious.
  4. @Beamafarthank you for replies, we did get a good price on Inside YC but as I said we have cruised both Bella and Fantastica and Interior and Balcony and sometimes “all in” with beverages and Wi-Fi and sometimes neither, always enjoyed our cruises, have done 12 (I think) MSC cruises all from US ports. We now mostly cruise between MSC and Carnival, different experiences, appreciate both. Of course you should have added another week having come from Ireland, enjoy!
  5. @Beamafarhow long ago were you on Seashore in Yacht Club? We have experienced both Bella and Fantastica, Yacht Club for first time in two months. Most likely too general a question, any insights? From your Posts you seem to be a frequent MSC cruiser. It seems people nave a very positive Yacht Club experience or not too much good to say.
  6. The Meraviglia is a gorgeous ship. Yes you see many varying thoughts on MSC cruises. Early on, when MSC first came to America, so many people that had cruised on any other cruise line in the past complained bitterly as those people expected the same experience as they had in the past! My thought, if you want a Royal cruise line experience go on Royal, if you want a NCL experience go on NCL, etc. We have enjoyed MSC cruises 12 plus times, no complaints, we have experienced both Bella and Fantastica levels, we have enjoyed the “all in” experience which includes beverages and Wi-Fi as well as cruises without beverages or Wi-Fi. All this to say, enjoy your first cruise, it is a wonderful vacation.
  7. Apparently I was wrong about ships lining up at Port Canaveral, sorry.
  8. Have done side-to-sides at Miami cruise port, works great, Port Canaveral should be fine, ships all line up, easy walk from one to another.
  9. Ask for two or three pieces of fish at Blue Iguana/taco shop and walk over to Guys for fries (husband gets fries while I am getting fish) and voila not bad Fish ‘n Chips.
  10. Just know, if for instance Chibang opens at 5:30 the app allows check-ins starting at 5:15, for all restaurants it appears the app opens up 15 minutes prior for check-in.
  11. But I suppose if you like the same table mates you should choose a fixed dining time, although there is no guarantee they will show up, for us YTD was the way to go, both on Celebration and Mardi Gras.
  12. My entire process took from a Friday to following Thursday. Just now I tried to look back and see if I could find what I found - yikes - sorry - as I don’t have anything in process I cannot find what I found to complete the process. (Now that’s a crazy sentence!) Good luck, lots of hoops to get through, but first you need to find the hoops.
  13. It’s always good when the laundry is in the washing machine. Love the variety of shirts you wear. Don’t wash (if it is machine washable) that new red shirt with your whites!
  14. Have been on 26 Carnival cruises and had not cruised Royal for 20+ years until this past December. For me, food at dinnertime in Main Dining Room is comparable. Definitely think Carnival’s breakfast and brunch in Main Dining Room is superior, more variety, more uniqueness. Also partial to Carnival’s Blue Iguana and Deli and pizza.
  15. Our next Carnival isn’t until 2025 when Venezia goes out of Port Canaveral. Do have MSC booked end of March, two months away, so trust timing will be good for us. Will fill in a few dates after our MSC cruise.
  16. Hello @ninjacat123, as it happened you and I did the “travel insurance” thing on the same day, we are getting to put ours to use. Today was embarkation day on Celebration, not happening, a little sad, well lots sad for husband, first time in over 40 cruises we had to cancel a cruise. After two visits to Emergency and two Surgeries, all since Tuesday, it’s only Sunday right, we are back home, all will eventually be good. Anyway, between your Live and @MeganGC1983’s Live and @sid_9169’s Live, I had a lot of entertaining reading to distract myself with as I (sometimes anxiously) sat and waited for the past five days. TMI, right, but wanted to thank you for your Live and the distraction it provided me, our paths passed in the past, perhaps again in the future.
  17. Sid, all your “no mores…” are making me so sad! Thank you for taking us along once again. Have read your recent “lives” but apparently there are many more from the past that I was not aware of at the time, am going back in time to read them. I know that this “live” will go on for many more posts and pages. So it’s not good-bye yet. Anxiously awaiting to see both of the masks from this cruise once you unpack them. Safe travels.
  18. With all the “moolah” you leave there you should have a Reserved placard on a seat.
  19. Order a “main” off the Chibang menu (along with any apps you might want) and a Lobster, have seen it done, wished I would have known at the time.
  20. Right, what did you think of it? On Mardi Gras enjoyed it several evenings, had a “salmon” that was delicious, husband loved the “meats.” From what I read seems people really like the food/place or not so much.
  21. Sid, of course you know “it’s always in the last place you look,” because once you found it you stopped looking, right?
