I added up all my drinks from my 5-night cruise

I am from Canada. Now that’s efficient, eh. -
days of the voyage. SDP is not available on 1 and 2-day sailings; On 3-day sailings, SDP is for sale on day 1 only. No refunds available if not all meals are used. SDPs are personal (per person, e.g., 2 guests cannot share 1 SDP meal) and non-transferable (guests cannot give their SDP meals to someone else). An SDP meal in a la carte restaurants includes 1 appetizer, 1 soup or salad, 1 main course and 1 dessert (does not apply to cover charge restaurants or Food Republic, Pincho Tapas Bar and Sushi, where a meal includes any 4 menu items). No sharing or to go orders permitted. SDP does not include beverages and additional and/or premium menu items will incur charges. A 20% gratuity and specialty service charge will be added to the package price. No SDP kids pricing available. We encourage guests to visit ncl.com/myncl to make dining reservations in advance. Reservations are not required but highly recommended, once onboard, reservations will be subject to availability. SDP meals can be enjoyed at American Diner, Cagney’s Steakhouse, Food Republic, Italian, Le Bistro, Los Lobos, Moderno Churrascaria, Pincho Tapas Bar, Q Texas Smokehouse, Raw Bar, Seafood, Sushi and Teppanyaki Just catching up with this thread. Does this mean you cannot split the allowed 8 items (four per person) at Food Republic into two meals? We were on the Bliss last week and had no problem doing that. I was also going to do it at Q on our next cruise.

Are you in the Haven? Do you have the premium plus drink upgrade? My questions pertain to those two things.

I don’t think that’s accurate. The list of wines and champagnes available by the bottle has nothing to do with the cost. There is simply a selection of wines and champagnes you can choose from that are designated on the wine menu. Veuve Cliquot for example is available by the bottle with a cost of $139.00. The other champagne available by the bottle is Pommery (pink). We preferred the Pommery over Veuve and ordered a bottle every evening with dinner. -

Well “Sparky’, I’m offended by your assertion that I need help. To prove I’m in total control of my booze consumption, I’m going to cut down to 15 drinks per day on my next cruise (doubles only count as one drink - right).😛 -
MSC’s Yacht Club might be a good fit for you.

The front bank of elevators are extremely busy on ships that have both the Garden Buffet and Observation Lounge at the front of the ship. It’s a double whammy.

Love the Haven, but trying MSC Yacht Club

I know it’s been said many times but for what you pay for the Haven, the premium plus beverage package (that includes bottled water) should be included. -

What logistics? Having 16 drinks a day on a cruise is pretty average (for drinkers).- 131 replies

Love the Haven, but trying MSC Yacht Club

I’ve been on six Caribbean MSC cruises in the YC. I wear shorts in the YC restaurant except for gala night when I break down and wear long pants. On our last B2B in October on the Seashore , I would guess that close to half the male cruisers wore shorts to dinner. -

On our last four MSC cruises out of Florida, the announcements were made in one language - English! -
Fresh fruit skewers and cookies.

We’ve sailed more than 10 times in the Haven and six times in the YC. Service is generally better in the YC (Butler service is hit and miss on both). The sun/pool deck on the YC has a bar and buffet restaurant (open breakfast and lunch) making it far superior to the Haven. The included YC drink package offers more top shelf liquors. The Haven bartenders are mixologists and much better than their counterparts in the YC. We actually prefer the smaller portion sizes in the YC restaurant (you still have the option of ordering as much as you want). The Top Sail Lounge in the YC has nightly entertainment with pretty consistent waiter service as opposed to the Horizon Lounge in the Haven. NCL’s loyalty program is better than MSC’s. NCL entertainment is better. The Haven has more cabin choices. YC includes Spa access. If you’re doing a Caribbean cruise, the one major inclusion that sets the YC apart from the Haven is MSC’s private island Ocean Cay, where cruisers in the YC have their own private restaurant and beach area. The price difference between the two experiences was quite substantial a few years back but the YC prices are increasing to the point that some sailings are priced not that far apart. We are sailing in the Haven in two weeks on the Joy and have also booked a B2B on the Seascape in November. We enjoy both experiences but if I had to choose one I’d pick the YC because it’s still better value. -
Ordering off menu/secret menus/menu hacks

Ask your butler to pick some up from Starbucks. -
We were on the Meraviglia in October. I had two cappuccinos with Bailey’s delivered to our cabin each morning.

I believe it’s open for lunch on sea days.
