  1. Here’s another head scratcher for you. On November 4, we boarded the MSC Seascape at Terminal B through the NCL Terminal. The Joy was docked at Terminal C, normally MSC’s embarkation terminal. Still can’t figure that one out.
  2. Thanks for the replies. I guess I’m out of luck, but the airfare we are paying is a steal so everything’s cool.
  3. Does anyone have any direct experiences with this?
  4. The Haven bar usually has the best bartenders (mixologists) on the ship. It’s my understanding that Christian and Rodnie are currently bartending in the Haven Joy (if you see them say Gary and Mary say hi). They are both masters. They can add infused ingredients to your Bloody Mary like Jalapeños . If you have FAS+, I would recommend asking for Chopin Vodka, it’s a Polish potato vodka that is extremely smooth and excellent in Bloody Marys and Caesars. You won’t be disappointed.
  5. Top Sail Lounge YC, to be specific,
  6. This just in - the snack buffet has returned on the Seascape.
  7. Just happened to Seascape this past week in Miami. Embarked Terminal B, disembarked Terminal C.
  8. Yes, it’s terribly confusing. I’m on a MSC cruise right now and they have smart elevators (you press the deck you want to go to with no buttons to push inside the elevators). Simple, but people are still confused. One lady said it takes time to get used to - time for what - you press the deck you want to go to. Man, people are stupid.
  9. We are on the Seascape right now, half way through doing a B2B in the YC. Gala night can be as gala as you like. There were a few tuxedos and gowns, some suits and jackets, but the majority of men wore slacks and either polos or collared dress shirts. The rest of the week is pretty casual, lots of shorts and jeans which is perfectly fine with me.
  10. This past week, it was on Sunday which was the first sea day.
  11. It’s hard to believe that many people have no clue how elevators work, even not knowing what direction to press to get to their destination.
  12. This thread reminds me of an encounter I had with a guest services agent some years ago on NCL. I politely asked if there was any way we could tour the Haven, as we had never stayed there. She looked at me and said “sir you cannot tour the Haven, it is not for ordinary people”.
  13. We are also booked on this cruise. No port days is heaven on earth for us, as most of the bars will be open all day. 😜
  14. I trust everyone realizes that the football games are not on the sports channels but the special event channel, which I believe is channel 31 in the cabins.
  15. So you will be on the cruise next week, I see. Any chance you’re doing a B2B?
  16. My question was very specific and directed at the OP. I did not ask for your opinion on what constitutes appropriate attire in the YC dining room.
  17. Stay home. Your paranoia will ruin anything you decide to do.
  18. Hi Kelly. We will be on the Seascape for a B2B starting Nov.4. Please let me know if you see any men wearing shorts in the YC dining room for dinner. Thanks.
  19. Yes, all is well. We will be on the Seascape for a B2B starting on Nov.4. Then we have a Celebrity cruise in January to celebrate my 70th followed by a transatlantic on the NCL Joy in February. The coup de grace will be a 28 day B2B on NCL Encore that includes a 21 day Panama Canal cruise and seven day Alaska cruise. I think we’ve gone a little overboard (no pun intended) this year but what the heck, you only live once. I hope everything is well with you too. Till we meet again.
  20. I should know the answer to this question but I don’t.
  21. Yes, I know that but the point spread is 350 between Diamond and Ambassador whereas there are six categories between 1 and 350.
