  1. I have used it to power my Roku or Firestick. I believe the TV must be turned on for the power to be active.
  2. While Infinity my be scheduled for it's regular Dry Dock and recertification Celebrity does not have any current plans to resume their Revolution. They usually clean up and repair all the Rust spots and repaint the hull. They usually freshen the soft goods but I would expect the interior dark decor and color schemes will remain.
  3. Working perfect for me on the West Coast.
  4. There is a USB on the TV that can also be used for Power. To cut down on cables I purchase some Octopus Cables and some multi port usb blocks - both 220v and 120 V multi-port blocks
  5. Usually they begin updating 60 days in advance but in May on Apex they didn't update the information until the morning of the cruise. To get a good idea of offerings you might find a similar cruise this summer and check out the information. Up until they update anything showing for your cruise are just place holders.
  6. That I'm not sure - the one for Tuscon is a take off of the regular menu. I'm sure if you met with the Restaurant Manager at least 24 hours before dining they could either make accommodation like food allergies or dietary needs. I know some with Vegetarian and Vegan requirements were accommodated.
  7. A question that has come up on some other threads. Do you have Regular or Premium Internet and how is connectivity with Starlink? Appreciate it.
  8. Definitely has not been my experience. I should expand that experience may be linked to expectation. If one is expecting like internet speeds at home they will be disappointed. I've not been to Alaska with Starlink but had very good connectivity in Greenland and Iceland. Recently on our Caribbean, TransAtlantic and European cruise I posted daily speed reports and they seem consistent with @Ken the cruiser test between Sydney to Vancouver. Celebrity has capped the speeds of both Premium and Regular wifi - Premium seems capped at 5-6 meg Download and 2.5 - 3 Upload. I was able to stream both YouTubeTV as well as Netflix for the complete 6 weeks and only had one dead spot when they were shifting satellites between North America and the European Satellites.
  9. Mike, With the exception of Retreat Class room service offers Continental Breakfast Only for free. All other orders like full breakfast are subject to a $9.95 per ROOM surcharge plus gratuities of 20% ($11.15).
  10. The kids menu is available at all restaurants as well as Specialty ones.
  11. Another option is this Live Post - They have been posting pictures of the daily menu with pictures of what they ordered.
  12. Really enjoying your live post. Your photos are incredible and really bring back such fond memories.
  13. If I understand your question. You are asking if a Retreat room price drops after final payment can you upgrade to that room at the prevailing price. The answer to this scenario is YES. I've done it many times. As long as the room is $1 more than you existing room they permit it.
  14. I also have a once a week ineluctable I travel with. First yes the medical center has a sharps disposal. I purchased a couple travel sharps container years ago they are about 6 inches long and 1X1. I just put my used items in it and bring them home with me.
  15. Forgot. Yes we always have Premium WiFi which is required streaming using Roku or Firestick.
  16. Yes that is also possible. Always advise trying at home and get comfortable with it. The HDMI ports are really easy to reach in SS down. On CS and above the TV's are mounted on the wall and the port is about 8" from the edge and hard to reach I bring along a 90% adapter to make it easier to connect and disconnect.
  17. I'm a totally a techno nerd from Silicon Valley and have a tendency of bringing both.
  18. Casting is the wireless transmission from you phone. On the Celebrity TV's they have a menu item called Streaming Services. You click it and it pulls up a menu screen with instructions.
  19. U.S. citizens on closed-loop cruises will be able to enter or depart the country with proof of citizenship, such as an Enhanced Driver's License (EDL), a government-issued birth certificate (issued by the Vital Records Department in the state where he or she was born) or passport, and if 16 or older, a government issued driver's license, picture ID, denoting photo, name, and date of birth. The Enhanced Driver's License (EDL) allows you to re-enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The EDL is only accepted at land and sea border crossings, not for air travel. An U.S. citizen under the age of 16 will be able to present either an original, notarized or certified copy of his or her birth certificate. Since you are also not her parents - The CBP also say about minors traveling abroad. Unless the child is accompanied by both parents, the child must have a notarized letter from the other parent or signed by both parents showing their consent. Per CBP website - https://help.cbp.gov/s/article/Article-74?language=en_US
  20. Yes.... Casting is easier but is based on Android and not real apple friendly. Good idea to buy a cable on Amazon and try on you home TV if it doesn't work you can return it within a month.
  21. Just for information. I made a final payment a week early and the day before payment due the price dropped. I had no problem getting a price reduction and they refunded my credit card for the over payment within 3 days.
  22. I've always received rejection email as above at 48 hours from departure when I did not win an upgrade. Like the OP - I have on occasion had my bid disappear a couple days to a week before departure and they usually show up again or I receive a rejection.
  23. Reminds me of a Summer in San Francisco - Layered Clothing is best choice. BTW when we were there we were very comfortable with a Sweatshirt and a Puffer. Usually the Puffer ended up in the day pack.
  24. Yes --- I've done it many times. BTW - you don't need an invite - as long as you TA participates (Big Box Store does not) just go to link below and enter last name and reservation number and if you are eligible you will get in. I only get invites about 50% of the time. https://www.celebritycruises.com/bid-on-cruise-room-upgrade
  25. Yes that is correct. Also Firestick is easy to slip in but the ability to log onto the Celebrity WiFi is problematic. You often need to bring a mini-router or create a mini hotspot on you pc. Roku on the other hand has a built in method to log onto a captive portal but lacks the capability of VPN that Firestick has as an app.
