  1. When I looked at the regulations it pertains to Opioids - including Sleeping Pills Medicines that fall under the Opium Act Examples of medicines that fall under the Opium Act are: strong painkillers; sleeping pills and drugs to reduce anxiety, such as Valium or Seresta; medication for ADHD, such as Ritalin or Concerta; medicinal cannabis. I've traveled for the past 20 years with sleeping pills and never once was stopped or asked for such a certificate. Personally I will continue to travel without going to the bother of the certificate.
  2. Silhouette is an S-Class (mid - Size of the 3 classes). I was on Solstice (S-Class) recently and we had an overnight in Hilo (Tender Port). First day we were in really early and tendering began at about 7:15 AM. The initial tenders appeared only 1/2 to 3/4 full but within 15 minutes tickets were required. I think by 9:30 tenders were open to all.
  3. Would help if you mentioned the ship or class of ship. Personally I found that on E-Class, even with the larger tenders it can take a couple hours with the ticketing system. That also depends on how many are going ashore as well as how many on ships tours. I've also found that on early morning ports the first couple tenders can be pretty empty. One other point. If you are Elite or above or in Concierge there is also priority tendering.
  4. Generally you create an account and password. Usually you create individual accounts but recently on some of the ships in Upper Suites with 4 free account I have only had to create one account and all of the accounts are connected. They are just limited to max of 4 devices at the same time.
  5. Another option might be to order room service or pick up your food and either eat outside on the pool deck of return to your room. I always travel in suites but on port days often have to eat in MDR. I've always been able to find a seat or ask an attendant who helps find a spot. I will say we usually don't go until after 1:00
  6. As a longtime cruiser I have to agree with you. In the past 10 years plus I have only seen one report of a cabin being oversold. I'm not sure even if it was on Celebrity. In that case it was a couple on their honeymoon and in the end it was resolved and they got their original cabin. For those that are pushing the oversold condition point to ACTUAL posts of that being reported. Celebrity and others may indeed
  7. I've seen this a number of times and found the solution was to use the confirmation e-mail for that specific category and click the link. Other option is to call celebrity and have them cancel it.
  8. I see this overbooking being reported (rumored) recently. Over the past 25 years I only recall ONE report of an oversell of a cabin and they were offered a cabin with an OBC for a lesser classification. They may indeed oversell a specific classification with Guarantee. They usually handle this with their Move-Up program. Those in the specific cabin are moved up (for a bid) to a higher classification and the Guarantee get those rooms.
  9. Booking in Retreat may alleviate some of the items you listed. Other cruise lines also have similar. Unfortunately when you travel with the masses you become part of the mass. For meals you may consider eating at non-prime time.
  10. Thanks ---- That's rather sneaky that they shifted to 25/50 ML. I'm sure most American's have no idea what that equates to . I'm not a drinker so really doesn't bother me much but.... Let me tell you, I would have cut my husband off well before hitting the 15 drinks in a day limit.
  11. It could be any time from when you booked until when you show up at the Pier.
  12. Curious how Cunard handles drinks - I was looking at at Bar Menu - Compared to other lines the prices look very reasonable. Do they also charger for mixers --e.g. tonic or is that included If a drink is over the package $12.00 limit - Do you just pay the difference like on Celebrity or do you have to pay the full amount?
  13. VAT in Spain. Technically if you were to purchase a drink package VAT would be due at point of sale. If however your ship has at least one non-EC port then they usually hold off processing the purchases until in international waters so they don't have to charge VAT. If i'm not mistaken Montenegro is not currently part of the EU so should be VAT free.
  14. Looking forward to following along. Have a wonderful trip.
  15. I have had them give me a power stip as well as an extension cord. I'm sure there are limited power strips available.
  16. I have used both bus and train to London. Very easy. The Bus station is much closer to down town but the train station is only about 1/2 hour walk from where the ship docks.
  17. The new menus are the ones they released in November and have finally been rolled out fleet wide. Why it takes 6-7 months to roll out menus is just something I don't understand. Unfortunately many of my favorites disappeared and deserts went on Chocolate overload. The main difference was they chaned one entree per day and swapped our Daniel B's menu to the one that includes the Chocolate Poop.
  18. I use a couple of those orange ones stacked to b able to use something like the OP's option. On revoloutionized ships with the power box really limits direct access
  19. I was of the opinion (which of course could be wrong) that the UK does not support price matching after the first 24 hours. Has something to do with difference in law. One other consideration is when you booked it and what perks you had. I have a number of bookings that included gratuities and booking onboard credit. If I adjusted the rate i would loose one or both.
  20. What benefits do you get for booking on board or purchasing a certificate to book once home.
  21. You would call either your Travel Agent or Celebrity. In my case I had may agent handle it.
  22. I realized that but in my humble opinion ---- - Is this anyway to run a company. It doesn't take programming genius to have the correct amount for those booked under SM. It is just they choose to put their head in the sand. I'm underwhelmed with Oceania Website. Another example -- I had an excursion booked and they dropped the port. There is not way to cancel an excursion online - To cancel I had to call 2 times. First time was told to wait 7-10 days and see if Oceania Cancels it automatically and if it doesn't --- call back .
  23. They have an upgrade beverage package. At least for me the prices are incorrect on their website and told I need to call in to book or wait and book once on board. Upgrade from the House Select beverage package included with our simply MORE offer to enjoy unlimited premium spirits, Champagne, wine and beer wherever and whenever you wish for $30.00 https://www.oceaniacruises.com/value Choose - Drink Packages When I log onto Manage my account they show the pre-Simply More pricing even though I booked with Simply More
