  1. The shows will populate in the app as soon as you board, just connect to the ship's wifi (free when using the app). There will also be places were you can go and book your shows in person if you don't want to use/are not comfortable with the app. There will be staff when you board that can point you to the 'box office'.
  2. You must be out of your cabin by 8 am. They try and get everyone totally off the ship by 9:30, but need to start cleaning rooms no later than 8 am. As far as time zones, that can be up to the captain whether or not they stay on local time or ship time. Not sure on formal night.
  3. I always see that one. And the combo with the Deluxe. But have never seen it with the refreshment, just with soda/voom and deluxe/voom.
  4. I board Navigator two weeks from today, I will have a Lava Flow and probably a Lime & Coconut in your honor!
  5. That's what we paid for an upcoming cruise on Anthem. That comes down to just under $34 per dinner, before the gratuity and we felt that was a totally decent price based on how much Chops, Wonderland, Jamie's were if you bought individually. I've been watching and prices haven't gone lower, so I'm glad I grabbed it. I'll continue to watch and cancel and repurchase if it drops any lower.
  6. No idea about why it won't save the hotel. I do think that either way works just fine for grabbing a boarding time for everyone in the party. I've done it both ways--android app or laptop, for five cruises so far this year.
  7. I'm also pretty obsessive when it comes to this stuff. So I feel your frustration. You can always check in on a laptop and get your boarding time (when it lets you) and then later go into the app and add things.
  8. When my daughter sailed to Alaska in May, her sailing had the same situation. I think it was probably closer to 35 days before she could choose a boarding time. She checked the app a couple of times each day and it finally appeared. Like yours, everyone on the same sailing had the issue, so no one had an 'advantage' over others.
  9. You won't see anything out the window at that time, only your reflection looking back at you.
  10. Aw, hope he has better luck with seasickness this time. We have found that Bonine (meclizine--also now the ingredient in Dramamine non-drowsy) worked the best without making anyone too tired.
  11. Here's a good video that shows one of those rooms with the pull down and couch made up as beds. Pretty cool
  12. It started either first thing this year or late last year--it's a tax the Bahamas charges. So we had to pay tax on our cabana. You also pay tax on drinks you order on the island, unless you have the beverage package. Anything you purchase to use/do on the island via the planner or while on the island is subject to that Bahamian tax now.
  13. What's your itinerary? And you said it tells you to bring a positive PCR test? That would be weird unless you are also saying that you were recently positive and are boarding using that positive PCR and a certificate of recovery letter from your doctor.
  14. I have an October birthday and I'm hoping to be celebrating my birthday next year on Icon. 🎂🍹🎉🛳️⛱️🏝️🌊😎
  15. But that is what I'm trying to say--you can't 'send it up to your room'. That's no longer an option. You need to hang on to it/carry it/wheel it, until rooms are ready. If you choose late boarding, like 2 pm, that way you could take it right to your room and not have to lug it around. Rooms have been opening up by 2 pm, and many times a little earlier.
  16. I think you may get varied answers, but remember, whatever you end up bringing, you must carry it on with you--and continue to carry it around with you until rooms are ready.
  17. What Ken said. Pharmacies will only test you if you book an appointment and they use their tests--you are purchasing both the test and the services of someone in the pharmacy to watch you do the test and then email you the results. The bulk of the cost isn't the test in the box, it's paying the person who proctors/supervises the test. They definitely don't work for 'free or nominal pay'. Since you're in the U.S. look into one of the online services where you are allowed to use your own test (within reason--they must be an approved test). But you still have to pay that person to watch you via your camera.
  18. Yes, unless something has changed in the past few weeks.
  19. Does the email say you won your bid? Then that's the room you will have. Check your credit card--have they charged the amount of your bid? You should have been given a new room number and your credit card charged if you actually had a successful bid. If you got the email that says you 'might' be upgraded, then you'll just have to wait and see if they change your room when you get onboard.
  20. Make sure to put the tests (bring one per person and a backup per person) in your carry on. With all the luggage issues on various airlines, better to be safe than sorry.
  21. When I sailed out of Rome last month, it was 2 days prior (updated from just 1 day prior, thankfully). We did the test via video--we brought our tests with us when we flew from the U.S. and used the hotel internet to do our testing. Very easy. I think @Trixie21meant to say NO more than 2 days before the cruise. So if you cruise on a Sunday, you could test on Friday or Saturday.
