  1. You can bring as many bottles of wine on board as you want ~ no limit. After you pass through security there will be a table to go to and pay the corkage fee there~ it will go on your room account.

Yep, NCL is great with this. You pay $15 per 750ml bottle of wine, as many as you want. They put a sticker on your bottles and charge your account. If you don't drink all your bottles you can go to guest services on the last night and get an adjustment to your account for the bottles you did not drink.:D

  2. This sailing on Getaway in June will be our first full suite cabin also. We have the UDP so having the butler deliver a dinner from LeBistro to our room will be great. Never had a butler before lol. So, what the consensus is, just let the concierge handle the dinner reservations the day you wish to dine in a specialty restaurant? We've had numerous mini-suites but booking in the Haven will be a treat. We will be in a Haven Spa Balcony, I've upgraded from a regular Spa Balcony (haven't told the DW, it will be a surprise when we board :D). It looks like this cabin isn't much bigger than some of the mini-suites we've stayed in. I'm looking forward to all the perks :).

  3. We are in a Haven Spa Balcony. I see by the pictures they have a cappuccino/espresso machine in that cabin. Has anyone had any experience with these machines? Do they provide espresso pods and coffee pods? I love the smell of a cappuccino in the morning (smells like victory ;)).

  4. yea!! just upgraded to an S5 on Getaway for Feb 15th sailing--any pictures of cabin 16710--thanks

    Woo Hoo Congratulations! Enjoy it!

I have been debating on doing the same thing. I'm in a Haven Aft. I love the large balcony and the view and less wind but I'm really wanting a spa pass and I'm thinking if I upgrade to the S5 I will be closer to everything that I will want to do for the week. The Haven area and the Spa. Really not sure what to do. Although all the walking back & forth maybe good for all the food and drinks I will be trying. :D

We are also thinking about upgrading to a Haven Spa Balcony from a regular Spa balcony. I'm just having trouble rationalizing the extra $2400. Decisions, decisions...lol

  5. Welcome canbonbon to the insanity that is CC . Your questions have been answered by the folks before me so I'll just say Hi and am wondering when you are sailing on Getaway? We are on the June 14 2014 sailing. If you would like some great videos of the ship checdk out YouTube and search Gaetaway or her sister ship Breakaway. Both are pretty much identical except for some venue name changes and a few updates on Getaway. Again welcome to Cruise Critic. :)

  6. I bought an 8-pack from Amazon and they work great for NCL's paper tags:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009PGOCUE/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I did have the paper tag that I used packing tape on fall off . I had some gift cards and amazon credits so I tried these at cruisetags.ca they are $16.95 (a little expensive) but are durable and won't rip off your bag like the paper one's . One more thing I don't have to worry about..:D..Oh, and you have them for life..Like your lanyard, if I had one..lol

  7. what i would like to know is if anyone has eaten and early dinner in let's say cagney's and then felt like a desert later on and went to le bistro - possible? anyone done that? would you tip just to go in to eat a cake?

Yes, you can eat at multiple restaurants the same day. Apps at one, dinner at another and dessert at the third.

  8. Can anyone that has bought them confirm when they bought them (did you get to the ship very early) and also, where did you buy them, in Vibe?

From all the other post's and thread's about Vibe you MUST be in the first boarding group because they do sell out quickly and they are purchased at Guest Services. I'm wondering if the cabanas don't sell out as quick as the regular weekly pass. From the pics I've seen there are only 5 and at $299 each there might be a couple left..I hope..:)

  9. Hi miatamhn19. We also have 14750 on our Dec. trip, bump balcony and spa. Hope you do a review on the room ref. noise from above and the view. Have a great trip in May.

    Bill, Venice, FL

I absolutely will post a review. If you use the website deckplans you can drag one deck on top of the other. Cabin #14750 is toward the front of the sun deck area so I'm thinking the noise should not be that bad.

Instead of the balcony being a rectangle it's more of a larger triangle. Definitely more room. They might have a higher price now, at least there was talk about an upcharge. We had a BC on deck 9 aft.port

You also get a nice forward view while under way. My sailing is in March on Getaway and the price for the B9 #14750 (bump) has not changed, same price as the regular B9 cabins :)

  10. I may have an opportunity to switch from a Spa Balcony to a Mini-suite Spa Balcony for less money. However these cabins are on deck 14, under the Sun Deck on 15. Does anyone know if these cabins are particularly noisy from activity from above? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Would like to know that also. Have the bump spa balcony #14750 on Getaway and booked that cabin for the lager balcony. Was thinking about the loungers being moved around by crew in the wee hours of the morning

  11. We are going on the Dawn with a large group. What is the best way to stay in touch with everyone? Can you get wifi on the ship to send emails to each other, or get an international text package on your phone so you can send text's.........what the best way to keep in touch?

Cheapest way to keep in touch are kids style walkie talkies. Cell rates at sea are crazy. If you get them make sure they can ALL be set to the same channel

  12. Is it better to take one-day spa pass or full time pass for the whole cruise?Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Jane:)

We originally had a large balcony cabin. We were going to get spa passes for the week. Crunched the numbers and it was cheaper to upgrade to a spa balcony. Smaller balcony but we get the spa perks. We did get one of the bump cabin balconies 14750 so we have a slightly bigger than standard balcony

  13. It does seem odd to charge a 7 day $119pp and $199pp for a 10 and 14 day. It makes sence to purchase if you're on 7 day, only $17 a night avg. I originally though it was an error in the price but when I called NCL they said it wasn't and the price would be $238 for 2 for a 7 night sailing. We usually eat in specialty restaurants anyway so for us its a no brainer, thanks NCL.

  14. I hope it's a few table games, that would be awesome!! Now, if only it were like the tables at Hard Rock in Vegas... they are IN the water... talk about the best of both worlds :D

Loved those tables in the pool at Hard Rock :D Did very well at those tables. Mr. Sheehan are you listening..lol
