  1. Happy Mooning drron. Have a fabulous time.
  2. Glad you got it sorted les. It may be something simple such as a diversion in place at the time they checked. It depends on how they check the mileage and what’s going on at the time. Most firms use a radius or an “as the crow flies” measurement which would change a lot less often! Then again it might not be.
  3. Explosions happen due to many reasons, let’s leave it to the Ships Doctor at ground zero. “Mention” of the N word has no benefit other than make the dirty so and so’s wash their hands and take the other precautions like they should in the first place.
  4. I can’t recommend it highly enough! I’ll certainly be going back as soon as I can.
  5. I Wouldn’t get too excited. Reviews are mixed so far.
  6. One can indeed be a tough crowd. The rest of us appreciated your balanced comments.
  7. Let's just hope that the Crew are experienced in the art of affinage!
  8. I Had a conversation on that cruise with somebody else that had had the same Limousin cote a l'os who found it inedible too. I Have also heard many other comments on here of Atlantide steaks in general. You do have to be spectacularly bad to mess up a fillet but some cuts take a lot more skill. Ive always talked about how incredible the food is on SS and that really is the only bad meal that i've had. I Don't have access to the original pic right now but I have just grabbed a screenshot of it from my holiday video but you get the Gist.
  9. Other than the numerous people that have said the same.
  10. OK Spinns you de-feeted me with that one 🙂
  11. We had steaks in La Dame, Kaiseki and Hot Rocks (all fillet from memory) and they were all superb.
  12. Not only not top grade, It left me questioning why such a magnificent beast should be sacrificed in order to produce something so inedible. It played on my mind. I’m a reluctant carnivore and never waste meat but that is the closest I’ve ever been. We have had 2 SS cruises over 17 nights and this was our only experience of Atlantide butNever again.
  13. The steak in Atlantide almost brought me to tears. Never before have I encountered such a noble beast as a Limousin being toppled and extend such anguish upon me. Several diners on the surrounding tables commented upon the fact that my teeth just weren’t up to the job and urged me to send it back. One thing I Will never do is waste the flesh of a magnificent beast but this is the closest I have ever come to turning vegetarian. I’ve spent much time pondering upon it since.
  14. Phew! I Find the thought even more unsettling than those people that walk constantly around the deck in circles whilst you're trying to enjoy a nice quiet cocktail or 2 on a lounger.
  15. No Probs, They're a 46 if that's ok? Ive got the matching electric blue velvet tux and bow tie too if that helps?
  16. He’ll do you proud drron. He offered several options, heritage hotels, taj hotels, Oberoi hotels. There may be a couple of pointers I could offer gladly whilst you’re planning. Unfortunately travelling solo, the Oberoi supplements were just ridiculous. Had I been travelling with my partner it might have been worthwhile. I Chose the option to stay where I could in Heritage properties to absorb as much as I could of the incredible people, places and culture and spend my money locally. I Sincerely hope you get there and “Incredible India” imbeds itself in your heart like it did mine. In the meantime have a fabulous time on the Moon. We should have been on her for my 50th in Oct 20 but it wasn’t to be. I Did however at least get to see her when she delivered some precious cargo to Liverpool pier head last May!
  17. Thank goodness for that. There’s enough exercise to be had walking from breakfast to lunch and then afternoon tea, hauling yourself up to the pool for post lunch cocktails, dragging yourself back to your cabin for afternoon nibbles and a glass of champagne on the balcony and then traipsing around the bars in search of canapés and a few cocktails before dinner. By the time you’ve sat through 5 courses I’m surprised anyone had the energy left to seek out late night drinks and nibbles in the Avenue let alone go running along a rubber belt! And don’t even start me on port days!
