Show your card or just show your set sail pass on your phone if you haven't gotten your card yet. The cups were at all the bars and there were two types, at least on the Wonder two weeks ago.

DBP new sale, cheaper then BF
ATSEAMYLIFE replied to poocher's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Over the year or so before our Thanksgiving sailing on the Wonder my DBP went from $68 to $72 to the all time high of $78. During the several "sales" I saw it go from $72 to $78 a week or so before the "sale" and then go on sale for $72. Then after the sale back to $78 for a couple of weeks and then about a month before sailing $72 where it stayed until we sailed. It went to $68 for no specific reason for a couple of weeks about 6-8 months prior to sailing date. As always, there's no such thing as a "sale" just buy it when it looks right for you. -
VOOM Internet Package Question
ATSEAMYLIFE replied to RobinKS's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Probably another case of "dynamic" pricing. We only did a four nighter on Navigator. Each device I added to my cart went down in price until I got to #4 at $5 a day, after #4 they were all $5 had I needed more. -
VOOM Internet Package Question
ATSEAMYLIFE replied to RobinKS's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We did that on Wonder during Thanksgiving. But we had free WiFi for each of us being as we were in a suite. -
VOOM Internet Package Question
ATSEAMYLIFE replied to RobinKS's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Yes, put them all on one account it's much cheaper. I did four devices in July and by adding the 4th to my purchase it only cost me $5 per day extra for #4. No, it won't limit you all three can be used simultaneously. -
Some friends did it on Wonder during our Thanksgiving cruise. No SWAG, but they did find it very interesting. I wish we had done it but it was all sold out. We had it RSVP on the Navigator in July, but at the last minute they canceled it.

how does the chat/text work in the Royal app?
ATSEAMYLIFE replied to Kellie in Texas's topic in Royal Caribbean International
thanks, I thought that seemed a little high looking back on it. Since we had free WiFi I really just skipped over it. -
Our long time TA's husband got sea sick standing on the pier looking at the ship. She swears by ginger. Trick is to start a week or so before the cruise. Fresh, capsules, or even ginger snaps worked for him. We were on an ultra small ship cruise once with a bunch of people wearing patches who also stayed up every night getting Sh&t faced. Then complained the patches didn't work as they still got sick in the AM. Dah!

how does the chat/text work in the Royal app?
ATSEAMYLIFE replied to Kellie in Texas's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Every time I logged on/off from one device to another on the ship WiFi it asked if I wanted just the "Chat/Text" option for $13 per day. Seems to me just getting the WiFi is a better option -
Obviously tipping is a personal choice. On our recent Wonder OTS sailing we tipped the following in addition to the auto. There are plenty of envelopes that show up toward the end of your cruise for cash tipping. Lystra our cabin steward was fantastic $50, Jean, Ass't Manager Costal Kitchen, really went above and beyond $100, Michael (CK waiter) great guy and very attentive ($50). Rosita (150 CP) was so great and food so good we went back a second time, added an extra $20 to the included tip. Same at Mason Jar for excellent service and decent food. I didn't tip any bartenders as there was nothing special there 18% seemed more than enough. I did see people leave $2-$5 at the suite sun deck bar, not sure if that was per drink or just for the day.

That wasn't the case on Wonder during Thanksgiving week. I'm sure a lot depends on the concierges.

Cruising with Disabled Child
ATSEAMYLIFE replied to JayIsFunny's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I can't think of a better ship to give it a try. There's plenty of open chair friendly space on Boardwalk, Central Park, and Promenade. You will have a great time. -

Best ship for 7 and 5 year olds?

At that age they might not be able to get on the big ones anyway. -
Canceling an excursion onboard
ATSEAMYLIFE replied to klb1978's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I think it's 24 hours for some. I would CE as soon as I get on board and can get on WiFi or go to guest services, which will be a zoo. If you can CE now I would. -
Wonder of the Seas oversold 12/11/22
ATSEAMYLIFE replied to bavrail18's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Not for sure, but we were bumped from the Harmony to Wonder from a booking originally made in November 2019. We were excited about going to the Wonder but then weren't sure if we would keep our OS or get bumped to a GS or lower. We weren't and kept out OS. If I were to guess I would think booking date counted for some of the bump. At least that's what our TA told us once way back when. The location of the "suite neighborhood" is awesome. Not a big fan of the suite sun deck location. We were on the "extra day" Thanksgiving week cruise and staff did an excellent job dealing with the unexpected. We were also fully booked but it was handled well. A lot of venues in the cruise planner showed "sold out", but if you personally go to the venue there's a good chance you will get in. It seems "chair hogs" aren't limited to just deck chairs and fail to show up and don't cancel RSVP's. We went to a couple of shows 20 minutes prior, got in the "stand by" line, and got in every time. We adopted the "be flexible" mantra long ago. -
If not a surprise you can log in using their RSVP number and purchase it. You will have to make a RSVP but they can probably change it once on board. You could also buy them a gift certificate in "Gifts & Gear", but there's a lot "fine print" on how to redeem them and they can't be redeemed on board.

Let’s talk about Allure’s Suite Sun Deck
ATSEAMYLIFE replied to Doc2725's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Agreed, we have debated trying an MSC cruise but haven't yet. -
Royal Caribbean Excusion, Kennedy Space Center Shuttle

https://www.spacelaunchschedule.com/category/fl/ Best site I found to track. Once it gets within an hour or so of launch then go on the SpaceX www site for the live feed. Sadly, we had a possibility of three during Thanksgiving week and none went as scheduled. We did the KSC tour post-cruise and my suggestion is first thing when you get there go directly to the bus tour out to the launch sites and then come back and tour the buildings. If they are just canceling your tour and the launch is still scheduled I would stay on the ship and watch it. There wouldn't be any better place to see it. -
I'm not aware of a package that includes smoothies any longer. If you don't have a bev package the only free stuff would be what is available in the Windjammer. Bars might give you a glass of water with ice. Non-specialty coffee and tea would be available with meals or in WJ. Juice machines in WJ for breakfast have apple, orange, and I recall cranberry. At lunch they had ice tea. Water and ice were always available from the machines in WJ. Not sure how much they charge as we had the DX and Soda packages.

We were on Wonder Thanksgiving week and ate at Mason Jar (really good) the five of us ordered cocktails and never paid extra. In fact we never paid extra all week and DW orders top shelf only. Stay away from the deep fried Oreo's. Hot fried chicken is outstanding, catfish was bland for my taste. The staff really gets into the "southern" thing, which at times is funny to hear "ya all" from some.

Never came out from behind their desks and hide in the corner. We have sailed three times prior in OS on the Allure, Oasis, and Allure; plus last week Wonder. I don't know if the concierges are overworked or what, but in the past they would "work" the suite lounge in the evening talking with guests and even sitting to have a cocktail. I miss those days.

Oasis class would be my pick and we have taken two cruise with grandkids that age and they loved it. -
Do any suites have dining tables in them?
ATSEAMYLIFE replied to luv2ndhalf's topic in Royal Caribbean International
OS on Allure and Oasis have large round dining tables. We were just on Wonder and there's a four person "dining" table, but it's not freestanding as the others. It was rectangle and one side was against the wall.
