  1. Remaining on board....do you know if they are working the extra week or have it off? Just curious.
  2. Why do some parents think they don't have to supervise their young children on a cruise? I've heard horror stories of children running up and down the hallways at midnight unsupervised. Even pedophiles take cruises.
  3. And just this morning I thought, "Isn't it about time for Charla to be cruising again?" I'm doing MSC Seashore in November based on your last MSC review/comparison to Retreat so I'm following along closely. As much as I hate a buffet... the YC one sounds awesome. (It's not the actual buffet so much as the "people at the buffet" that drive me mad. I almost went "John Wick" on a lady that had to inspect every piece of lettuce before it touched her plate.) Please snap a photo if it crosses your mind and I've heard the seafood buffet is the one that the "Interlopers" crash. I've been checking the Retreat prices for next year and I have to say, it's not looking good. They are double what I paid this year so I'm really hoping YC will be my wallet saver. Did you receive any perks for booking this one onboard your last MSC? You and Gen Z look great!
  4. I cancelled and rebooked all my excursions, dining and massages and saved over $340!!
  5. You found a duck and then ate duck! Oh, the irony! Love love LOVE your crocheted ducks!
  6. You were able to convince the husband to do the YC, great! I'm doing my first YC in November after several Retreat cruises.
  7. I almost spat out my tea! Thank you for that.
  8. I booked a cruise on Equinox that was after final payment was due. The only Aqua class cabin available was accessible and they told me if someone needed it they would move me. I did a move-up bid and was assigned an accessible Sky Suite. I loved that cabin, there was so much space! I was doing Julie Andrew spins in it. And the bathroom....oh it was lovely. It also had a button to open the door and each night for dinner I would press the button and pose like a model when the door opened. The butler saw me and we laughed.
  9. I would ask the maitre'd or someone that books specialty dining when you first board. They did it in Murano on Silhouette in December but I never saw it advertised anywhere. Someone had come thru the Retreat lounge the 1st day asking if we wanted to make specialty reservations and I asked. He wasn't sure but I said if they have it, sign me up please. A card was placed in my room later telling me what day it was being held.
  10. I don't like this. I like sitting at the bar. Especially when you have someone great like Cranston serving.
  11. Hi Charla! Please try the Eggs in Purgatory and take a photo since it's new item. You are my crash dummy for all things cruise, just FYI.
  12. I did Reflection in November when we did NOT change times then Silhouette in December and we DID change time. I was told it is up to the Captain.
  13. Ok, I found the form but it doesn't say where to send it. No fax number or email address is given.
  14. I called and tried to get it transferred to an agent. I was transferred 3x and then hung up on.
  15. Back in the 90's I had a new land line number assigned and had someone that would routinely call me at 1 or 2 in the morning almost every night. No matter how many times I told them they had the wrong number they would call again the next night or so. They finally stopped about the 3rd time I called them back at 6am.
  16. This reminds me of that horrible game Myst back in the late 90s. I could never figure out what I was supposed to be doing and what the point of the game was. They should've named it Pyst, cause after 10 minutes of that game (and Wonderverse), that's what I am. Pissed.
  17. What is the price per person for what sailing/how many nights?
  18. I always book mine as soon as I book the cruise and then I keep checking the website for a sale. My last cruise I was able to rebook all of my excursions and saved over $200.
  19. I did this excursion in December (was also able to rebook while they had a sale going on). Probably the best excursion I've done with 29 cruises under my belt. The crew were fabulous! They took us to a small beach for about an hour or so and then lunch on the way back. Very good lobster lunch! I would book this again in a minute.
  20. I was on Edge in March. I had the furthest forward Magic Capet cabin and loved it. There is a glass window which prevents rain from coming in. 7 day cruise, the carpet never moved. I would book that cabin again.
