  1. Tea totalling non gambler? Do they exist, I am choking on my merlot,,lol. Yes makes me laugh when cruisers say this is free, that is free, you have paid for it in your fare. I like to say..no additional charge, lol.
  2. Whats with the menu prices, rip off eat in waterfront or buffet.
  3. Strange, I have several fairly serious pre existings and on meds, like 10 tablets a day, declared them with a supporting letter from GP. 1Cover gave me insurance just 2 weeks ago when I booked my Westerdam cruise for November. They do it all on line, the questions, assessment etc.
  4. Make sure you go visit the Mawson's Hut Museum on the waterfront, my son's other job, CEO of Mawsons Hut Foundation, lol. $11 for Seniors.
  5. Bingo is ok for a rainy and windy sea day. Last Princess cruises we were on in mid 2018, tablets or cards. I never have much luck.
  6. Hey Geoffrey, did thee see ye olde Bengal Tiger from ye olde Regal Princess/Pacific Dawn on Pacific Explorer?
  7. The P&O Cruiselings will continue to pay for the extras on board so P&O will continue to charge for them. They charge for cabin service breakfast and cabin food service too I think. They are charging like wounded bulls, but they are catering for a certain market. I had better hide, the Cruiselings will be after me right now. lol.
  8. Not sure if 1Cover will allow you to take out a policy from NZ. I have several pre existing conditions and they gave me a policy for a Domestic cruise at a fair price. I got the Australian cruise insurance which includes Covid Cover, 13 day cruise NSW, Tas, Vic, SA. It was $238,. (policy was $155 plus $83 for declared conditions.)
  9. I have been to a couple of Tassie Wineries, they are more boutique wines and expensive, none of the Dan Murphys $5 stuff, lol. I have just come back from the Griffith area again, went to a few wineries inc De Bortoli in Griffith and Lilly Pilly in Leeton, both good, De Bortoli commercial wines with some better stuff, Lilly Pilly more boutique varieties.
  10. Mr Albanese should crack the whip and tell these states like Tasmania to open up to all tourism including cruise ships. If they fail to do so, withdraw all Federal Funding, that might wake up the Apple Isle from the 18th Century.
  11. Crikey, did you win the Lotto Mic, 😆
  12. Nice ship that one Lyle, we Did Sydneyto NZ and back on her about 8 years ago with a couple of neighbours. Nice bathrooms, no shower curtains to strangle you, fully enclosed cubicles.
  13. Tell them Uncle Les who has been on many ships in many places, promises they won't sink lol. No more Titanic or other maritime disaster movies for them, lol.
  14. Talking about Bingo...my bingo marker still works, lol. Not for sale now.
  15. I actually met him..Brisbane 41/Karateman/Sutho. He was on our Golden Princess Cruise - Around Cape Horn from Buenos Aires to LA in 2014. Strange chap. I think he might be still lurking on here under another handle.😬
  16. Tell them the ships have lifeboats, lol and everyone has a life jacket in the cabin, lol. Not far to swim to shore.
  17. Good trip Neil, done a thousand clicks. Yes bit chilly, like -3 at Yass this morning and out Leeton way it was 1 overnight and 14 in the day. I could not find any gf pies out there. Sad that. Yes, Raymonds fix on Sunday, lol.
  18. She is currently in Portland, Oregon. Maybe doing coastals to Seattle or Inside Passage cruises - Alaska.
  19. My son will probably give me a lift to White Bay from his place at Riverview (Lane Cove) where I will leave my Rolls Royce, lol. Then I can ring him n debark and he can pick me up, lol. We caught Pacific Princess from Darling Harbour one time and went under the bridge etc. When we sailed on Noordam in May 2019 we embarked at OPT but at sailaway the Captain kindly reversed under the harbour bridge then continued on into the harbour proper.
  20. I am on Westerdam 23 November 2022, part of itinerary is Port Arthur and Hobart. I have been to those places before, on fly drive trips, but I trust Tasmania will be open to ships.
