  4. As others have said Barangaroo in Sydney has many good eating places - various cuisines. They often compete with each other. My recommendation for tourists, walk the Barangaroo restaurant strip.
  5. I recommend Marriot at Circular quay, stone's throw from cruise terminal. Have attached a pic from my window there pre Coral Princess cruise.
  6. Having done many cruises mainly Princess, a credit card or debit card has to be registered.
  7. Yes it is, nice villa on the river, still see the dog. Lab dies but now Irish Wolfhound daughter has, grandaughter the vet has irish setter and english setter.
  8. Try NRMA, used them in recent years, I am 76 trombones young.
  9. On my trips to UK inc London, we stayed mostly at pubs in the country or premier inns/holiday inns in the cities/towns. The holiday inns and premier inns generally offer breakfast and dinner and reasonable prices. Book direct with their sites. Never been keen on Air B and B's etc. Always love full english.
  10. Thanks for asking, now happily residing in a ground floor villa at a very small retirement village, Illawarra Retirement Trust - Moruya on Moruya River. Still battling with the cancer and kidney issues, but as the oncologist said to me the other day, 'Les, your 'Best before Date' might have passed BUT your 'Use by Date' has not yet been reached !!' I cracked up! Although not posting much these days I still enjoy reading the posts. Best wishes to all and above all 'keep cruising !!!'
  11. Sydney Harbour Marriot. Close to cruise terminal and Circular Quay/Rocks. Catch a ferry to Darling Harbour or Rivercat to Parramatta, nice trip.
  12. New Metro Line, Chatswood to Sydenham, driverless trains.
  13. P&O UK do some great curries for lunch and dinner both in buffet and MDR. I have traveled on Arcadia, Oriana and Aurora around many parts of the world. P&O appear to have mostly Indian Chefs/Cooks as well as Indian service staff and stewards, thus Indian dishes are of a high standard, generally.
  14. Welcome back to Sydney you World Cruisers and thanks to all who posted the journey, allowing us poor mortals on land an insight of the adventure.
  15. Ah ye olde safari suit, I had one back in he 1970's. If I wore one now on the streets of Moruya I would be locked up, lol.
  16. When does the big sporting carnival finish? I watch a bit of the of the track and field but oh dear BMX, really?
  17. Julie, I have been following, get better soon and enjoy part 2 of your Worldie. Many thanks for your posts and other from Sewgood etc.
