  1. Thanks. They must have posted more since i last looked. Holland america is also a good option though. Also i know some people just recommend going to seattle the first time but i’m from vancouver so biased.
  2. Time4u2go’s post reminds me that there is another reason to go royal caribbean-royal caribbean sails the scenic inside passage out of vancouver while princess has very few roundtrip vancouver cruises. Note i didn’t say none, just very few. For my first cruise i sailed holland america which sails glacier bay but also has more vancouver roundtrip sailings. Still i’m not familiar with northbound or southbound routes-princess sails those from vancouver.
  3. If anyone knows of a cruise that goes to those 3 spots-hubbard, tracy arm and sitka-on the same cruise then please post-i never found one. Royal caribbean is unique in that regard.
  4. As i said, i challenge you to find a princess cruise that goes to sitka, tracy arm and hubbard glacier on the same cruise. I’m going to alaska for the second time and want to maximize new stops. Also, just a reminder this is a royal caribbean topic. I’m posting why you may want to take royal caribbean.
  5. Royal caribbean is the only one i know of that goes to all 3 on the same cruise. I’m going on brilliance of the seas.
  6. Just a comment that royal caribbean is good for the second time you go to alaska. The cruise i’m going on goes to sitka, hubbard glacier and tracy arm, all stops princess and holland don’t go to.
  7. I’m still on a quest to find an excursion. This excursion is a boatride in sitka. Is sitka sound more scenic than ketchikan? Has anyone been on this excursion that can provide a review? There are some reviews, but they are quite old.
  8. Is there anyway i can change the title? I-feel if i called it exclusive alaskan lodge adventure and sea feast i may get more responses.
  9. I had talked to a holland america agent and they have a special for have it all cruises, some in 2022 and spring 2024. I think what it is is that you don’t have to pay twice for have it all which they shouldn’t do anyways.
  10. I’m really surprised this hasn’t got more responses, especially given how many responded to lighthouse thread. Just a reminder again this is referring to the exclusive alaskan lodge adventure and sea feast. Maybe i’ll try reposting in spring if no responses.
  11. Thanks for sharing! Love the photos.
  12. Just to add, that i did see a thread from 2006 you were in. Thanks for contributing to the forum for so long.
  13. Some may of noticed i have a lighthouse totem thread and thanks for the replies. I’d also be interested in hearing about the silver king lodge tour before i make my decision. It sounds like george inlet may no longer all you can eat crab so not interested in that, Its called exclusive alaskan lodge adventure and sea feast. I guess i should have started a ketchikan tour thread but this will be better for people searching in the future.
  14. Thanks, i would say judging from this thread not everyone thinks that.
  15. Thanks, it seems like reviews are a bit mixed with this one but its good to hear some people enjoyed it.
  16. That's not true. I'm booked on royal caribbean in june and hubbard glacier excursion is offered.
  17. Glad you saw the scenery. My comment was to the poster who complained about the glacier who didn’t seem to have seen the scenery, as if the glacier was only thing worth seeing. Hubbard glacier is on my cruise planner for june cruise. Its 400cdn. It just goes in a smaller boat closer to glacier.
  18. Thanks. Then it works out to 284 canadian.
  19. Thanks both for the feedback. Yes i think that is the key point here - for the price will i be happy. I know the bering crab fisherman tour is more popular but i estimate that will cost around 300 canadian. The exchange rate is brutal. I thought this excursion was quite reasonably priced in comparison (only 135cdn). I haven't seen the actual price of crab tour so i'll wait and see for that, just estimating.
  20. Do you remember approximately how long the boat ride was?
  21. Thanks for your feedback. It seems like not a lot of people have done this excursion.
  22. I’m disappointed you can’t get off though. FYI Hubbard has an excursion with RCI.
  23. My sister said everyone was so focused on the glacier they missed out on the beautiful scenery when the ship left the glacier. She said most people just went for breakfast and so missed the beautiful scenery.
  24. Has anyone been on this cruise out of ketchikan? Reviews are pretty good on trip advisor, but interested in hearing from others.
  25. Thank you. I did find Fanny's oyster house and Captain's boil in vancouver serve dungeness crab but i think it would be more fun to get it in Alaska.
