  1. Related - yes. Hot topic - no.
  2. Not so sure tipping per se was the hot topic so much as what Viking calls "gratuities" and what they really are.
  3. Spoken like a true American 😊.
  4. I believe it's fairly common, at least for Americans, to tip favorite stewards, bartenders and waiters in addition to the expected "gratuities", however paid, without regard for where they go.
  5. So ----- why do folks call it "Icelandair Business class" when there's no such thing?
  6. Indeed. We cleared US customs in Vancouver after Alaska. We were warned not to go back through the door.
  7. But not the lie flat seats usually associated with business class - correct?
  8. Maybe ask Viking? Just a thought.
  9. We went to Stockholm via Rjykevik on Iceland Air. Never saw our bags until Stockholm.
  10. Icelandair doesn't really have a business class. What they call saga/saga premium is the equivalent of domestic first class.
  11. I lean heavily towards the maltier and perfectly balanced Bavarian lagers, Marzens, festbiers, doppel bocks, dunkels, monastery beers, etc. many of which have been a "fad" for centuries.
  12. Do they still have the Wrangell-St. Elias excursion out of Valdez? That would get my vote.
  13. So ----- if you ask Milo for a Mai Tai do you get a Mai Tai or what Viking calls a Mai Tai?
  14. The Kenai Fjords tour is excellent.
  15. Yeah. It was the standard pour on our river cruise. Don't know what they served when asked for a dark. Homelands I think Carlsberg was poured and I would get Carnegie Porter or Grimbergen.
  16. Typically a quite good lager when I would ask for a beer. When asking for a dark beer always a very decent bavarian or porter. If you can tear yourself away from the IPA fad you will do just fine. You can always get anything available off of any list as per above.
  17. I've also gone the "try again" route. But, you know what they say about insanity.
