  1. I agree! I stay in the haven and would never put any undue stress on any crew member especially on embark day! But this is also coming for a former crew member
  2. it absolutely does thank you....Just wanted to make sure that the normal internet speed would be enough to utilize facetime. Thanks so much!!!
  3. So, I will never Judge anyone for utilizing the services that you have paid for. If you are staying in the Haven and would like to have dishes from the main dining room brought to the Haven Restaurant that is your choice as well as your right since it is an advertised perk that you have paid for. I have cruised in inside balcony and haven suites. My last 2 and my upcoming cruise September 29th 2022 are all Haven Suites. Now, do I take advantage of a lot of the perks, absolutely. That is what I am paying for. But me personally would I ever order off the main dining room menu and have it brought to the Haven, no...for a few reasons. One, if I want something in the main dining room, I would simply ask my concierge if they could make us a reservation for that night. Two, honestly I would not want anyone to have to go down 7 or 8 decks for my food, the crew on the ship work hard enough as it is I personally would feel bad. But again, it is a perk that is offered and whoever wants to take advantage of it, I would never make them feel bad about it. Haven perks are paid for and take advantage of all of them you like, Honestly one of the greatest perks is the priority embarkation, debarkation, tendering and walking off the ship. I actually had a lady yell at me last cruise because when the guest from the Haven were brought down a service elevator to the gangway, they stopped the line to allow us to exit the ship. She actually called us all A**holes lol.
  4. Typically they are posted early in the morning for that nights service right outside the dining rooms.
  5. I agree, I have never had an issue with porters getting bags to the ship. We always bring 1 backpack with Meds, Boarding documents as well as a bathing suit each as we tend to get right to the pools once onboard. Pretty much if it can fit through the xray machine your good!
  6. So my wife and I will be on the 9 day cruise on the Getaway out at the end of September. Our 16 year old will be staying home due to school with our close friends that live across the street. We would like to be able to facetime her while on the ship. Would I need the streaming package or simply the unlimited package? Anyone who has used facetime on the ship i would love your feedback. Thanks again
  7. On Breakaway and Getaway, Forward Facing Haven, 2 Bedroom Haven and the Delux owners all have seperate Shower and Soaking tubs. I have stayed in both the forward and 2 bedroom and honestly the best bang for your buck when it comes to the Haven I would say the forward. Only downside is the balcony on forward is very small and the simple fact that your not in the haven area. But I absolutly loved the forward facing suite.
  8. So we will be there I. The Norwegian getaway in October, is it better to just spend the day at the pool and beach or is there something else we should be looking to do? We typically spend the days at beaches when in port, is there a better spot close?
  9. If there is no inventory no matter what you bid will not be accepted
  10. I am staying at Town and Country in Port Canaveral for my precruise night September 28th. Most likly the next morning my wife and I will simply get an Uber.
  11. I can not speak to New York, but in New Orleans, We stayed in a Haven and the only line that was different was once we got passed the Security Check point. We then went to a Haven check in, then to the Lounge and waited to board. Haven was called first, then priority, then high level latitudes, and then priority. I am sailing on the Getaway in the haven out of Port Canaveral and I believe they actually have a separate entrance to the terminal for Haven Guests. I will soon find out lol
  12. So my Experience, When staying in the Haven the Haven Bartenders will almost always give any drink, now if you have the normal drink package they will let you know that outside the Haven the other bartenders would charge you. I am sure as far as Virgin Drinks the bartnenders will most likely accommodate without any issue. But again, Tip well
  13. Not true, my starting bid when I was in a balcony for an owners suite was $1500PP, now that I am in a courtyards haven suite minimum bid is now $600PP
  14. My wife has no desire to go nude, just Topless, eliminate those tan lines on the girls lol
  15. Absolutly take them on the Getaway, they will love all the water slides!!!!! Ropes course also. Getaway a much better ship for kids!!!! I must be a big kid because I am on the Breakway for 9 nights in September.
  16. I guess it all depends on time of year. We cruise in off seasons usually and won last 2 bids with fair for Haven Suites. My cruise for next month didnt chance it and simply upgraded to Haven, glad i did becasue only haven left is the Owners lol
  17. Upgrades to balconies are excepted alot, I upgrade from Balcony to Haven and always leave myself in the mid fair range, cost more but also saves money typically.
  18. They are always going to take the bids that are most profitable for them. also always depends on available inventory
  19. They are going much faster now that vacinations are no longer needed! At least thats my opninion
  20. I absolutely agree, My September 29th 9 day on the getaway I watched it from having 27 Havens to just under 12 in a week. Then all the sudden there was 3, I was able to get a Courtyard for almost the same price I was willing to bid, so I know i wanted to be in the Have so simply booked.
  21. I agree, I am staying there stay park and cruise all in for 9 night cruise including my parking was $240 I believe
  22. Yes, I booked a haven 47 days out within 2 days received email to upgrade to 2 bedroom or owners suite
