  1. Sailing in the Haven Multiple times I will say I enjoy Having a Butler but do not utilize them very much. First Haven Cruise our butler was amazing! He delivered French Press coffee every morning! He simply asked what time we wake up and did we enjoy coffee in the morning, and offered to bring it. One other night we did dine in the room which he delivered and set up. Other then the usual afternoon snacks and such we did not ask much but he was always asking if there was anything he could do for us. We are booked again in the Haven on the 29th of this month on the getaway for 9 nights.
  2. So my question about all of this, has anyone actually paid for one of these cabins, not knowing the slide was there?
  3. I totally agree....We sail in the Haven often, and we are very easy to please...but even if the Butler hasnt done a lot for us we always make sure we Tip. So far have not had a bad butler exepiance, Johnathan was our Butler on our December Cruise last year on the BReakaway and was amazing!!!!!
  4. so between the difference in cruise fare plus the gratuities on my 9 night cruise was about $500 PP. so average the cost of a drink at $7.00, if i have more then 8 drinks per day ( which I absolutely do on vacation lol) it is worth it. but if you are a 2 drink a day person free at see beverage is a waist.
  5. Yes, if you win Haven suite the perks are all the same as if you where to outright book it, with the exception is that you don't receive double latitude points. As far as forfeiting the Butler, no reason to. If you don't need him for anything simply don't utilize him.
  6. I think as long as you choose a Breakaway class or Breakaway plus class ship you will be very happy. As far as dropping off at Kids club and you going ashore I am not sure about that, hopefully someone can answer that for you. I will be on the Getaway in the Have at the end of the month and will be doing a live review as well.
  7. I sailed on the breakaway in March this year and was about 50% full. Still had a good vibe, pool deck always busy but you did notice in shows it was a little light
  8. Started as cruise staff and eventually made CD, worked on the dream, dawn, star, sea, crown and even was an ACD on the Marco Polo when NCL owned orient lines
  9. Excursions get cancelled all the time from lack of interest to safety concerns to so many things! Don’t worry about cancelled excursions. When is your cruise?
  10. Ok not going to argue as I worked on board NCL for 5 years. Signing an additional tip, receipt shows your server on it
  11. Daily gratuities that are charged pay the salaries of crew, each crew member signs a contract for x amount of money per month, any additional tips whether it be cash or signed for goes directly to that employee, same as if you were on land
  12. Yes I use an employee casino at sea discount, on my end I get 10% off cruise fare only from whatever the advertised price is online
  13. I have been pricing NCL vs RCCL and it is very very close...I booked a 9 night on the Getaway for September 20th 2022 ( booked in march) and a balcony eith all the free at sea perks was $2800. how much is RCCL drink package?
  14. Thanks so much. I assumed so since these sailings just became available in March of this year, plus 9 night cruise with school being out! I have a feeling as well ship will be very light. Thanks again for your amazing live review.
  15. I'm sure they could get you to go cups....very simple and easy request
  16. Embarkation is easier to watch games as the ship isn't moving, when we left new Orleans every turn the ship made down the river seemed like caused interruption in the satellite link
  17. On embarkation day they will have nfl games on the big screen at Spice....
  18. If i am correct, Christian was on the Breakaway for my cruise in March in the Haven!!! Fantastic person and amazing Bartender
  19. Loving the review!!!! Wife and I are on the Getaway on the 29th this month....do you know what the ships occupancy is at this week? Should give us a good idea what to expect in a few weeks.
  20. I have to disagree with Spice h20 never being busy. Every day Spice H20 was slammed on my experiences on both getaway and breakaway. As far as the smoke stack, I did the ropes course several times and never had any issues with the Fumes. The Stack is at least 20 to 30 feet higher then the ropes course and smoke always seem to rise up. Running track is 10 feet lower then the ropes course so not sure how smoke would effect that. I am booked on the Getaway on the 29th this month and will enjoy all the attractions.
  21. Ibelive you will, the casino bar as well as the Bliss Ultra lounge had al differant sports playing during the day....and if i remember correctlr osheehans also has sports playing as well
  22. I also forgot to mention my wife also was married before...before we were married she would bring her divorce agreement as well as a bridging document. So if I am correct, her name on her vax card is her married name, so the divorce agreement would have the ex husbands name on it which would show the same last name as hers...I am fairly certain (if they even ask) that would be sufficient.
  23. I would treat this with bridging documents. My wife's birth certificate has maiden name, license has married, vax card has married. so we bring our marriage license ( not the certificate, the actual license) Now, we have never been questioned at all, but always good to bring more supporting documentation then needed.
  24. I will be on the Getaway for the September 29th 9 night cruise. I will be doing a live review starting from the day before driving from North Carolina to Port Canaveral. Review will be of traffic hotel and of course the beautiful Getaway.
