    I don't remember the extra menu items very well (lots of pasta) but I remember the service. Best service on any ship ever, IMO.

    Remember the "form ladies" who wouldn't let you through the doors until you filled out the health form? The one in San Pedro were especially ferocious! 😄

    Yay! Now I have the opposite problem where I want to go from private to shared, but "not available." 😄 I think I'll wait to get on the ship to straighten it out since its about 10 months out. But boy, is that good news for you!

    This is par for the course, I'm afraid. Princess IT is dismal. You could call Princess to see if the reservations worked, but that isn't foolproof either. Welcome to Princess. 🙃

    Nope. One of the few things Princess has not changed in decades. The steward leaves the card in the cabin the day before. If you don't see one, ask for it.

    Hahaha. I thought maybe it was about flies buzzing around (which has happened to me a few times). I'm all in favor of the staff-served buffet. That's what they did when the cruise pause was over. Of course, we were wearing masks then, too.

    Well I finally booked a cruise after two years and the system had a panic attack. 😀 Here I thought all was hunky dory because I was able to book dining on the app.

    I try not to draw conclusions based on one cruise.

    I have bit the bullet and booked for a short cruise May 2025 on Caribbean Princess. Elite and got reservations on app no problem. Island Dining room (as reported here) fixed seating late 7:30, table for two. We do prefer to share but that wasn't available at 7:30, so we'll try to switch once on board.

    That will never happen. There are plenty of buffet fans on any cruise ship.

    I have done several of these cruises. It's a nice short vacation and easy for us to drive to the port.

    I have never found going early or late improved the mediocrity of the food.
