  1. Vancouver and Toronto Canada the same lately. Hours to check in and baggage transfers taking forever. Son had a 3 hour layover in Dallas connecting to Dublin Ireland. Guess what? Bags arrived 2 days later. Seems flying is going to be an adventure as airlines cannot hire crews and airports lack staff.
  2. We keep making this way too complicated. If you board on a Saturday you need to test either on Thursday or Friday. It really needs to be ANY type of antigen test. Those results come back in under an hour. NOT a PCR test with up to 48 hours for results. The test needs to be proctored. Either in person or virtually using a company like OnPoint or Rapidtestandtrace.com. You can use ANY government approved test from US, UK, Canada etc. The virtual tests take about 15-20 on WIFI.
  3. Yes- just ask what type of milk is available as it will vary. In the dining rooms likely only whole or 2%, but again ask. It always has been Nestlé pre covid and actually usually made by adding water. The powder contains milk powder.
  4. Just wondering why so many are using eMed when you can use any approved test and a simple video call on Andriod or Apple.
  5. No slippers in Concierge and lower category. Room steward always brought them on request. The robes except in higher categories are very light weight. DW uses a long tshirt type coverup
  6. My response was to the OP. You could get a $500 credit for whatever the rate is when the flights are posted. Agree promo is strange
  7. Couple thoughts. Aqua cabins are almost exactly the same size as Verandas. The room service is not special. It simply has a couple additional choices and is delivered by the same staff as everyone else. We love Blu, but only book Aqua when the extra cost is small. Sorry you were disappointed. Sounds like several cruises when the number of passengers rose and there was not sufficient staff on board - in every cabin category from inside to suites.
  8. His cruise is in Spring or Summer 2023. Certainly can get flights then. If the pricecof flights went down you likely could rebook - BUT (always a but or two) there would likely be a change fee of at least $200 per ticket.
  9. You are welcome. The problem with Walgreens is they only do so many tests - and at least in Arizona you make appointments several days ahead. Any antigen test approved by any government - UK, North America, Australia etc works Suggest you bring a couple of the free tests with you just in case
  10. Rapidtestandtrace.com and Onpoint are within $5 incost. They both offer an easy proctored service. You can get appointments weeks out. Go to their websites and look. With there being little demand easy to get an appointment a day or two ahead. Quibble over a few dollars for testing is silly. We used Rapidtestandtrace.com recently and did it with both just an Android Duo call and with Microsoft Teams (a free app) the Microsoft app made things easy enough for my DW who hates anything to do with a cell phone quite happy. No problems and got results in 20 minutes.
  11. The differences you already hopefully know. My DW and I do not care about extra Captain's Club points or Persian Garden access, however, we love Blu. Both being small and personal and the food there meets our tastes. What you did not say is what is the difference in cost? Would I pay $100 a day per person to be in Aqua? Yes, but not more and Aqua is sometimes priced almost the same. As to the infinite veranda, personal taste. We really prefer a regular old fashioned balcony but the IV was fine PS we would rather be on the smaller M class ships. Aqua cabins there are a bit larger.
  12. Stan the problem is results from an PCR test take up to 48 hours. Much better to either go to a pharmacy and get an antigen test OR bring your own test and use a proctoring company such as Rapidtestandtrace.com or onpoint. They will email you results in the correct format in a couple hours or less for $20 and you can do the test anywhere.
  13. The confusion is that you do NOT count the day you depart. For example - Depart on Saturday. Test on either Thursday or Friday.
  14. Celebrity will accept any company doing proctoring of any government approved test IF they will provide you an email test result in the approved format. That format is the same for all major cruiselines. The standard stuff and not handwritten. Most have a QR code.
  15. You need to look at the website for your test. Most tests had a 6 month expiry date for manufacture and were extended by 90 days. Extended again? Who knows? I use the free iMed tests and another proctoring service. Recent tests I received were August so expire in November.
  16. Agree. Would write a letter - 1 page - and mail it to the executive offices. Clearly an succinctly explaining the details with just the facts. I would expect a reply in about 8 weeks. This is not a situation a CSR can solve. FWIW being Elite+ will make no difference- nor should it (we are Elite+ too)
  17. I put mine on at the pier. I also tape a piece of paper with my cabin number to my bags AND alway have a sheet with contact info along with cruise details inside my bag before leaving home. Have had bags show up on board delivered by the airline!
  18. Simply take 2 Seapass cards with him. Order one for each card. Take his beers to his table. If with a groupthey can immediately take his pass and order more drinks. Ordering 2 beers at a time - what is his purpose of 2 at a time?. There are lots of places to get a beer and as long as he is not intoxicated he can get dozens. No limit. We traveled as a group of 6 a few years ago. All with drink packages. Decided for fun to put all drinks on 2 cards. Nobody cared. The sommelier at dinner thought it was funny.
  19. Except for flip-flops with no socks, shorts, muscle shirts or t-shirts with off color comments almost anything. I wear black jeans or kakhi slacks with a collared shirt (often polo). Sometimes a sports coat over a turtleneck if cool. Wife wears a nice top and coordinated pants. More casual in the Caribbean and Alaska. A bit more dressy in Europe. Just wear what you would wear to a nice restaurant. Some will be dressier and others will look. . . Surprised you are asking this with 50+ cruises.
  20. Great if we can either call security and have them confined to their cabin or have a trial finding those that are slovenly at the buffet sentenced to walk the plank or a public shaming.
  21. Toiletries are a personal choice. As discussed for years some love em and others don't. Suites have upgraded products.
  22. Except for getting 5 points a day (same as Aqua) , there is little advantage IMO. Concierge cabins are often available for few dollars more than a Veranda. You need to make the choice if it is worth it to YOU. Exactly the same as for other cabin choices.
  23. Lots easier to link your accounts either at checkin for your next cruise or at customer service on board after the lines go down. For the missing point, as others said emails work but take 4+ weeks. I was actually again able to have the Captain's Club reb ON BOARD fix things in a minute or two. They also gave me a small freebie to say sorry.
  24. Just do it on a cell phone. Automatically formats to acceptable size. And right now it is taking 3+ weeks to get acknowledgement of acceptance! No suggestions there.
