I think you are confusing the Medallion with the app.
I assume you ordered drinks with the Medallion, used the Medallion when you went in the MDR etc?
The Medallion works perfectly, the app is problematic
Probably too late now, but perhaps you should try a short cruise on Arcadia, in case you fancy another Worldie in the future.
If you like Cunard, I think you would like Arcadia, albeit Arcadia is, by all accounts, less stuffy than Cunard!
Two points if I may
1. If a passenger tests positive for his/her self administered test, will P&O automatically give them and their travelling companions FCC ?
2. If Covid is no longer seen as being serious or life threatening, will there be no need for passengers who develop Covid to quarantine ?
They are normal 500 ml bottles that you find throughout the world. The actual brand will vary, as the ship replenishes stocks during the cruise. On our last Med cruise we had Spanish, French, Italian and Greek bottled water
As I pointed out elsewhere, P&O are abolishing the need for observed tests. You now have to take a test within 48 hours of departure, and declare that you tested negative on the pre-cruise medical questionnaire. No evidence of test results are required.
Absolutely spot on. Arcadia is a smallish ship (not a bad thing) but to go on a 100+ day cruise on an strange ship on an strange cruise line, is either extremely brave or extremely fool hardy.
OK, but I have seen people being led to the table when drink has been found in their bags.
And P&O will confiscate bottles carried on boardand picked up by the scanners.,
I am all in favour of taking action, where the is a distinct possibility that the action may produce the desired outcome.
However, how does tying yourself to a gantry on the M25 influence the decisions in China and India ?
At the very least the protesters could have chained themselves to the Indian and Chinese embassies in order to make their point.
But we are talking climate change, not air quality.
The protestors on the M4 today would have my support if they demonstrated in India or China, but just making a theatrical point in the UK, which in the end will have caused more pollution and increased petrol consumption due to the increased congestion , is sheer gesture politics.
Interesting to note that P&O (UK) are doing away with monitored testing from July 24th.
All you have to do now is take a self administered test within 48 hours of departure, and declare that you tested negative on the pre-cruise medical questionnaire.
No evidence is required.
The rationale from P&O is that whilst Covid is still rife, the actual symptoms in the vast majority of cases are so mild that a reduced testing protocol is in order.
As this issue ia already being discussed here

do we need this thread as well ?
Old history I know, but really, what justification was there for the increase ? Did the cost of cleaning a wine glass increase 33% overnight.
The corkage increase was nothing more than a profit maximisation exercise.
