  1. Have seen 6 ships there once. Think they are going to limit number of pax sometime. It is just too small for such an invasion.
  2. I am Ligurian and get both. So generous of P&O!
  3. The big ships are the destinations rather than the ports, it seems.
  4. My 14 nights last month select balcony on Iona was £1000 with £375 obc. Desperate to fill the big ones. As you say, Jeanlyon, smaller ships sell out.
  5. Absolutely agree. Did August Arcadia Baltic this year too and it was one of the best cruises ever. In fact would not fancy cruises with SPB as have done it six times and did not even get off there the last time!
  6. If you are not getting off, sit on the left for best view.
  7. Riga,Visby, Tallinn, Skagen, Fredericia - need I go on?! Baltic and Scandinavia are wonderful without SPB. Just left Copenhagen, now in Oslo on Arcadia. Americans are very scared of risk. Shame.
  8. First Xmas gift from P&O received this week. Bottle of Merlot and personalised chocolates.
  9. Can see Bolette next to my hotel at City Terminal. Have heard good reports of her, albeit from more aged cruisers, like myself!
  10. Recollections may vary - particularly when lots of money is involved!
  11. Rock bottom prices and generous obc in order to fill the large ships, and more expensive cruises on smaller ships selling out shows the latter are currently still popular. My recent cruise on Iona cost £1000 - my cruise today on Arcadia is four times as much, but will be worth it for me personally. Each to their own.
  12. In this weather and with two cases? Taxi today for me!
  13. Blowy in Southampton but at least rain has stopped (nightmare drive up yesterday) and I can see Arcadia has arrived.
  14. Andy Willard on one Caribbean Xmas cruise was absolutely hilarious. Joined in everything, including the pantomime in a pink tutu. Also saw him rollerblading down the jetty. What a character.
  15. I did, and only went on Iona because of the mega cheap price!
  16. Object to your tone. I was on this cruise and booked it in October!
  17. Cruise last week was £779 for single occupancy of balcony saver or £1000 with £400 obc select. Would not get decent B&B for £55 per night where I live! Practically giving it away.
  18. Must be great to leave snow one day and wake up to 18° next morning. Have a lovely holiday.
  19. Yes. At present you can choose Freedom or fixed (6.30 or 8.30) dining if you book Select.
  20. Nothing wrong with Butlins. Went there several times with friends in my 20's and had good times. They provide value for money holidays for tight budgets. Same as Iona. No disrespect should be meant to either when making the comparison.
  21. As anyone would expect, have heard good and bad reviews from across all age groups. Depends a lot on budget and kind of holiday one wants. Horses for courses - luckily! There is something for everyone out there.
  22. Possibly, but also maybe the fact that they are practically giving Iona cruises away which may affect the demographic also. Enough said! It is like Marmite. Just need to accept that and pick the ship you prefer. On Iona at present there are many elderly folk and on Arcadia twice this year it has been a very mixed age range.
