  1. Oh, We purchased our tickets, Walked one way, Ticket agent leaves her locked area to tell us OOPS wrong way. A Life moment
  2. We went way back when. We did the std items. Our memories? We had an Error at subway, Ticket agent ran after us to guide to proper location. 2. Vendor spoke zero English, BFF zero French yet they had a great discussion for 30 plus minutes. We did the STD stuff. What do you love? Do it, We are going back after 25 plus years and cannot wait.
  3. Maybe just us. At $25 bucks a day. Easy decision. Have you been on a competitor lately? Viking don't listen,,, Shhhhh
  4. Given nothing is what it was. I'll ask this q, During Pool time is there a live band playing? Solstice class ships to be specific. 🙂. Thanks
  5. For $50 USD use NCL Premium Air Services. They state you can choose airline, departure date, etc. https://www.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/premium-air I have not used NCL's service so this is straight from them.
  6. We went 19 years between HAL cruise's. First was like being in an old folks home. Surprised at the current HAL model. If you want to have evening entertainment, be prepared. I am not a HAL only. Just a fan of what they are now offering. We've added them back.
  7. No one is truly "stuck". Plenty of other vendors who travel to the same locations. I understand what you mean.
  8. Been on Rotterdam BtB back in April of 22. Ship and crew are great. The following week we were on the Encore. Our first NCL cruise. As for HAL, The entertainment was solid. We enjoyed the music, ALL of it. BB Kings has a great vibe. Kept us out until the music stopped. No big broadway shows, which we did not worry about missing. HAL Food is cruise ship good to great. I'd skip the Italian restaurant, but that's more for location than the food. Ship is more for a couple crowd whereas Encore is Family all the way. No go-carts sort of ship. We had fun on both. I would positively say give HAL a try. Now, If what I am hearing is true. NCL is notifying upcoming passengers there is a change to room attendants coming to clean. I've heard they are now doing towels once a day and room cleaning once every other. That would be a game changer if true. Has anyone else heard this?
  9. Venice (Chioggia), Italy. Thats directly from Viking. Go enjoy. Venice, Murano, Burano all wonderful. St Marks Sq enjoy, however for coffee and a snack go further away for an affordable option.
  10. Where does that train end in the city of Paris?
  11. If your thinking of flying down and immediately leaving on ship, then either way\
  12. Back in 2019 we docked there.
  13. We've TA and TP with Viking. Both times we had a great adventure's. Note: Our thought is it is you who make the journey, not the other way around. Entertainment on V consists of 5 or 6 singers. They do different routines most all nights. The band is also after hours in a small club. The Bars and the bartenders are fun. We make it so. Celebrity is more ship with more options. Now are they all worth it? The Martini Bar is a favorite. The standard up front Shows are good. Is that worth not doing Viking? Food is subjective I suppose. So I will not comment beyond we do enjoy the speciality restaurants on both lines. Staff? We had wonderful experiences with both lines when it comes to staff. I think they all enjoy when we ask them about where they are from. Do they have family. You learn so much about foreign lands from asking. We have never had an issue asking. Sometimes we wonder how brave they must be. If the Itinerary is good, either would work. Bottom line, when we can we'd prefer Viking for the smaller size. So do I confuse the story? Yup... Good luck
  14. Totally the truth. If you cannot receive a refund then again Totally Unacceptable. That is a major change to expectations Yes the cruise line can do, Is it smart? No. People do not forget.

    MSC vs. ?

I've heard everything about MSC. Food Good to bad. Entertainment Good to bad. Ship vibe Good to bad. That about sums up what I have been told. For those who have been on the MSC Seascape my question is to you. ( You all too, just looking for additional information with the new ship). Ideas, Suggestions, what you do when first onboard to the little things you know are good, or bad. MSC appears to be looking to garner a slice of the US market. Is it worth the time to do so? Or, is MSC a worth the try?
  16. Financial Statement does not line item Gratuities. It is dumped into "Other". Per the statement, or as far as I can ascertain without additional data points. Same issue for Port Charges. They are buried in Other's,,,
  17. Reality check, It is becoming an expense you need to understand before booking. That $40 / $50 USD a day is getting up to a point you must consider that when doing the cost model for a cruise you are contemplating.
  18. This is what a NY er would say is just plain BS. But not I, no. HAL did a great job where it counts
  19. The wife heads to Publix, loads up, carry's them ALL onboard. Nuff said.
  20. Just off the extended trip. To the crew, Thank you.
  21. Actually , YES I did watch the Rotterdam crew rescue those lost souls. The thing they were riding on was peeling apart before our eyes. (I have the pic to prove it) . The Rotterdam crew, Outstanding. In the mix of a Hurricane, in the dark rescued those souls. Nothing else was not an option. Our accolades to them are to stand. If you were not onboard, then just smile and know HAL came to the rescue!
  22. Hi, If I have the soda package, can we designate which drinks we want to use for the "4"? I.E. 4 with alcohol?
  23. To start out, Up front, then pick side A. Enjoy A for a bit, then travel over to side B. Once that is enough walk to aft end for another look. No side is wrong, ALL sides are correct. Enjoy it, Great time.
  24. Love Costco, Do not use em any longer for my TA,
