  1. I was on NCL Encore just before Covid and you made the right decision about NCL. My head and wallet were spinning by the time I got off. Seemed like every venue needed to be booked, some for a charge. After a cruise on Apex, doubt I'll ever go back to NCL.
  2. Been looking 2024-2025 at a lot of cruises and most of them do not have All Included... I'm Military, so always check Military discount... Looks like no AI option with Military discount on most 2024-2025 Just an FYI for anyone else checking that discount. Thanks Celebrity! 😬
  3. Country of residence is important, but I believe if you want cancel for any reason, that must be purchased at time of booking or very shortly after. As far as medical, reparation, loss of life/limb can be purchased at almost any time. There was a thread on here about a Celebrity customer with Celebrity insurance and had an absolute nightmare with Celebrity insurance when they had a heart attack. The thread scared me away from Celebrity's insurance... Med Jet and Travel Insurance Store are what I was turned on to...
  4. Sailed with my now ex-brother in law a few years ago. He has always been a whining a-hole and even with me heavily subsidizing his, sister, and nephew's cruise for them, his non stop complaining how he would this and that different I finally snapped with that exact statement. It did, for the most part, shut him up the rest of the cruise. 😂
  5. Doubtful a 11yo and 14yo even know what a landline is, let alone how to use it. 😂
  6. If you were on the Western Caribbean cruise (Nassau, Costa Maya, Gr Cayman, Cozumel) do you have any other insight to your cruise? Mostly on the ports and stuff. I'm on this same cruise in January and the 12/4-12/11 is the last cruise with the same itinerary before mine... Thanks for any insight. BTW I'm in a SV 🙂
  7. La Perla? If so, I'm glad and your lucky to still be alive.
  8. I have dining reservations for March 2024 booked...
  9. I would agree about waiting until your on board, If upgrading find a bar/bartender you like and have them upgrade for you as I believe they get credit/tipped for your upgrade. If your a martini drinker almost all the martini's at the martini bar are not included in basic...
  10. It is around the pool area, however on Apex it faces the Magic Carpet/Sea. You have it all day and are served a lunch with a "special" menu.
  11. WOW! Guess I picked good cruises for a SV 🙂
  12. My three E-class cruises my SV cabin was at most $300 pp more than IV. Not even close in price to a suite, if it was I'd be in a suite.
  13. It’s pier B. It’s a privately owned pier that I believe has a contract through 2024 with Key West. Thats the only reason cruise ships are stopping there. The city voted to ban large ships. The other 2 piers are city/military owned and are respecting the vote and not accepting ships.
  14. Absolutely love E-class. Was on here years ago before a NCL cruise, after reading a lot on CC I thought about canceling because of the negativity. Thank god I didn’t, had a great cruise. After going on my first E-class cruise with Celebrity I did realize all the shortcomings of NCL and probably won’t go back to NCL. I am mostly on here to get tips and a little insight on some ports, and other little things for me and my cruise. Ignore the negative Karen’s (there are a lot) and enjoy YOUR cruise.
  15. Paid $2300 for a 2021 Apex cruise SV with premium drink and internet and $600 OBC Never sailed because of Covid, but did do a "lift and shift' to 2022 so eventually went on the cruise for $2300.
  16. I have a Beyond Caribbean in January 2023 in a SV... An IV today is about $800 cheaper with $200 OBC Hard to compare because I booked with Premium drink and internet, that is not available any more and no SV left for the sailing...I also have $600 OBC. This sailing is only at around 60% booked, so still a lot available for a sailing in 45 days. My 2024 sailing I booked in March is the same price I paid, but again I have premium drink and internet plus an extra $400 in OBC, so it has gone up a decent amount since March.
  17. It's in the "Veranda" section for choice of cabin. If you don't see them they are sold out, they sell out quickly.
  18. I'm 95% sure that the actual Sunset Veranda cabins are the same size, other that obviously the SV Suites. The balcony's on the other hand do very in size with the ones closer to the middle of the ship being a bit larger. I was on Apex 11272 SV cabin and noticed the verandas very a bit in size. it was very minimal but was noticeable.
  19. I'll be there in January, first time for me...similar situation, looking for a beach day. From what I've read the first thing is getting off the ship, our ship arrives at 10am as well. Passengers with ship booked excursions get off first, a post from a cruise last week that stopped in GC stated that they did not have an excursion or priority and didn't get off the ship until close to noon.... What I decided to do is a 2 hour snorkeling excursion starting at 10:30am (hopefully first off) back to port at 12:30 and then off to the beach. Not a lot to chose from as far as "beach clubs" seems like Coral Beach is about the only option I can see that serve food and drinks and have facilities to use, so that as of now is the plan. Public beach seems like another option with less services (food, drink, restrooms) I've read that Coral can get crowed, but crowds do not bother me.
  20. So much to do in St. Thomas, you could spend a month there and not see all the nice beaches. An easy do it yourself beach is on Water Island. The ferry to water island is an easy walk from where Royal and Celebrity ships dock. Dinghy's beach bar, on water island, has excellent food and drinks and wonderful beach. I've been to Coki beach at least four times, it has a local vibe, the snorkeling is really good, it can get a bit crowded, but that is part of the vibe. Coki beach is on the opposite end of the ports, so plan a good hour on travel each way.
