  1. The price went up when Celebrity started raising prices on basically everything. I was thinking about doing it for my 1/15/23 Beyond cruise when is was $100 for basic and $130 for premium. The price almost doubled so Celebrity made the decision very easy, No Thanks.
  2. The ship turned around last night by the Keys and just left port Miami about 30 minutes ago.
  3. Thanks for the replies!!! Pretty much answered my question. Thanks again.
  4. Thanks, Its booked for 2 sailors, but don't have the 2nd figured out yet...
  5. Can't seem to find any info on when the last day prior to cruise I can add the 2nd Sailor information. I assume it's around final payment date, but my cruise was paid with credit card points and "paid in full" therefore I have no final payment date... Thanks for the help!!
  6. Seems weird that CC readers voted this way based on the way I see the CC boards. For example, on the Celebrity boards it seem VERY busy with non stop comments about EVERYTHING, all with the great, good, bad, ugly, Karen's, ext.... I set up a Roll call for a upcoming VV cruise I'm going to be on and I'm the only one on it. lol
  7. Unless this is for the retreat it looks to me to be a pretty "average" deal for a 7 day cruise. If it cost $7000+ for anything below the retreat it would be an empty ship.
  8. "people who absolutely reeked of cigarettes everywhere" Not sure what that even means, but yes there are a lot of people who stink, not sure how that is Celebrity's fault. My 2022 Apex cruise was during St. Patrick's day (didn't ever realize until a week before we left) I booked 4 more Celebrity cruises because of the awesome experience on that cruise. Unfortunately my January cruise on Beyond was completely different. Boring, bad drinks, pathetic dinner options in OVC, pool deck could've hosted funerals.
  9. Pier 25 uses facial recognition, super fast.
  10. Chase only has the option to transfer to Virgin Flying Club, I did a test of 1000 points and they went into my Virgin Red account... Now to decide if I actually want to pull the trigger 😬
  11. Seems to good to be true… An all included (other than alcohol) cruise, in a balcony Mediterranean cruise for 100,000 credit card points…
  12. I’m a Virgin for anything Virgin.. Just saw this post…I have a lot of Chase Sapphire Preferred points,…I signed up today for all the Virgin apps including Virgin Atlantic Flying Cub, Virgin Red, and Virgin Voyages. My question is, if I transfer my Chase points to Virgin Flying Club, can I then transfer them to Virgin Red? I understand this cruise promotion is a Virgin Red promotion?
  13. Still trying to figure out the Blue Chip thing, I did sign up at some point in the recent past, not sure when…I had a “status” on my last Celebrity cruise, but received nothing since or before the cruise.
  14. Rock Chalk!! I’m stealing your profile pic. I’m far from upset from turning my 275 into 2200 I just did not know I was buying “promotional” chips. Lesson learned Buyer beware
  15. I like Eden, La Voyage, Rooftop grill, Fine cut, shore excursions, so those are what I’m spending OBC on. Never considered buying Apple products on a cruise ship.
  16. I purchased $250 table games credit and got a 10% bonus ($275 total). I had about $75 of OBC left so it actually cost me $175 of my own money…When I went to the casino I received my $275 worth of “promotional” chips. Unknown to me theses chips CANNOT be cashed in, you essentially need to lose them. When playing the promotional chips any winnings are payed out in “normal” chips…. Unless you have OBC that you have no other use for I would never buy these promotional chips again.
  17. I used NCL for flights for a NCL cruise and will never use any cruise line for flights, there really was no "problem" other than they choose the worst possible routes and connections. Got home at 1am the next day, no thanks.
  18. From my January Beyond cruise: 1. Le Voyage 2. Eden 2X 3. Rooftop (food was great, a bit windy and cool) 4. Fine cut
  19. Agree, they have to be accurate on what is being served, mainly for inventory purposes. If they keep pouring wine A, but charge for wine B it creates a major inventory/supply problem, which they don't need anymore supply headaches....
  20. I agree, I still can't seem to find the Celebrity ship called Connie.
  21. I know it's weird that the cruise I booked in 2018 for 2019 is not the same price for the cruise I booked in 2023 for 2024. Very fishy.
  22. The E-class ships do not have a basketball court, they do have ping pong tables. If he likes the pool the E-class ships have a large pool, it may be the largest at sea?? There are typically "sport type" things done on the pool deck each day (pool volleyball, football toss, golf chipping, bags, ect...)
  23. My sister had 7 points, but never sailed X and she was a “preview”
  24. Ate at Rooftop on Beyond in January on a western Caribbean cruise, we were given blankets because it was a bit windy and chilly. They attempted to enclose/shelter Rooftop more on Beyond than it is on Apex. The food and service was very good.
