  1. Yes, to a degree airline baggage fees do apply, except when the program makes an exception (such as waiving the weight limits/overage fees). For those with status, you provide your loyalty number and that is verified then used to calculate fees; same for those w/airline CC benefits. I can confirm it works as I have not paid luggage fees when using Luggage Direct due to my Advantage status w/AA, which also applied to AK Air. I do pay the $25 LD program fee in FLL (it's waived in Seattle) which I let OBC take care of 🤭 One could also use OBC for the fees if they don't have airline status or have extra bags to check.
  2. Correct - they are coded as "casino rate" which you will hear them (HAL) mention if you call to ask questions. Doesn't mean you play (or played) in the casino, just that whatever system they use, you are getting benefit of a casino rate. 😊
  3. Awe, Poohby Joe looks quite dashing🤭 They also make a fabulous Chocolate Espresso Martini if you're game for an extra kick.
  4. Emperor's Nectar (or 2), satay sampler, 5 spice ribs, tenderloin hold the wasabi, fried rice hold the crab w/sorbets for dessert. Will also have the rice crackers w/dipping sauces (they'll know, lol). Nice menu, fun game😊
  5. Very interested in your feedback if you book. Thanks!
  6. Yes, I was referring most recently to FLL needing to "zero out" requiring in-transit passengers to leave the ship - whether w/the group walking off and back on or by leaving then coming back on by All Aboard time. I have not booked a Collectors Cruise nor have I linked diners to any of my bookings. HAL Reservations, various PCCs and onboard Guest Service agents have referred to my B2B bookings as being linked when they look up either booking number saying things like "I see there's a booking linked to this one, you must be staying on," or "I linked your other booking so they'll see it when you call about this one," or "your OBC won't roll to the next leg, but we can see it's linked to this one." Having only done about 15 B2B may not give me enough experience to discuss the process.
  7. Many cruisers repory also using Luggage Direct at the start; I have only used it at the end. I plan on researching using it on the front end so I can really be "hands free!" I fully tested the no weight limit charge on Sunday when I disembarked NS - my large bag weighed in at 90# thanks to European ports w/cheap wine!! And in Seattle, the $25 fee is covered by the city of Seattle, making it an even better deal. 😊
  8. My experience aligns with this, whether in a Neptune Suite or not (fully aware Neptune has zero to do w/corkage fee, but mention since it'smentionedin this thread). Always bring the bottles in carry-on through the scanner and prepared to pay, but never have. Have shown up to dinner w/a bottle, been brought glasses and never been charged corkage.
  9. Teppanyaki would make me very happy!
  10. The most recent one I booked did allow for CO, I chose not to do it, but it was available.
  11. I got one of those a couple years ago that was a 2-piece that fit together in an X - so pretty when full of tulips!!
  12. Use Luggage Direct - overweight fees do not apply when using LD 😑
  13. We also had that same notice 2 years ago on our Alaska Land Cruise. I believe it's because of the aircraft they use for the legs when they're transporting passengers. You might want to call HAL to confirm it is correct. We struggled to get someone knowledgeable at HAL who could answer specific Land Cruise questions (vs regular cruise questions). We chalked it up to post Covid related staffing issues and hope they've resolved that so ypu might find someone to answer your questions.
  14. Beautiful Christmas "tree" lol! Good news on your friend Dena.
  15. Brand we used in Sept on Venezia is It has outside mesh bottle pockets, handles, removable shoulder strap, folds flat and has a removable divider meant for 6 bottles (wine); we used the divider to double stack canned soda to hold a 12 pack. The other one we used the divider for 3 bottles of wine & 6 cans of soda. Tons of room for ice in both; no leakage and no pushback from Steward on filling. They lived under the desk w/no issues. And no condensation issues as some report w/other coolers.
  16. Unrelated to the CPP issue, but I also experienced the "close zero two" call disconnect today - 3 calls in a row. I finally got through to a live person to assist me by calling the PCC number (800-355-3017) and having them transfer me. Sorry you're also on the wrong end of those calls - perhaps calling will also help. BTW - I do not have a PCC on my booking, I just called their number so I could get a live person to transfer the call and bypass the automated disaster.
  17. Disembarked NS on Sun - only one very brief short-lived issue during a transatlantic. Seems to be working great!
  18. You absolutely are able to use the drink voucher for whatever drink you choose limited only by an $11 price tag. You may "cash it in" at any bar of your choosing on any day you'd like. I now do this every cruise when I don't have HIA, sadly after not knowing better on my first few cruises and discarding them as I didn't care for the Mariner cocktail.
  19. With few exceptions, they're handpainted; to me, that makes them more unique. Great gifts. If you don't know about the various shapes of the vases, worth attending one of the demonstrations to hear about them. Enjoy!!
  20. Hey @BillB just off NS Sun - we had a couple PG reservations we wanted to change last minute, same day - all were accommodated. Coupled with the empty tables we saw each time we were there, I would say chances were good for walk-ins. As @friendswithdavesaid, experience will vary based on cruise, but overall chances are good. Especially if you're flexible w/the time. Enjoy!!
  21. Congrats on the anniversary and securing the PS!! My experience from a Neptune Suite sailing is Concierge is generally able to book same day reservations, no need to do them all at once, early on. Enjoy!
  22. I, too, have both of these, but nothing else, so if there's a 3rd set I am behind in my collecting duties. 🫣 From the menus, I'll have a Dutch 150 (never got around to trying it, so this is a test), Caesar Salad no anchovies, pork belly sans squash & sweet potato, add basil-mashed potatoes & snow peas, finish w/any sorbet but coconut, please and thanks!! Now I need to visit my sad, uninspired land pantry😪
  23. Misc art pics from various locations throughout the ship. I said I would try going deck to deck, section by section making note of deck # so we'd all know what was where, but it did not happen.😪 Maybe next time...🫣 I would love to do the art scavenger hunt, but seem to always disembark w/o having done it. I haven't cropped all of these, so apologies for any "extra" stuff. Also the bad angles on some - hard to get some straight on. Including one of my favorite flower arrangements as I consider it a work of art. Florist is so talented. And the fanned out Dailies - they're the best representation of my personal art skills, lol. This is sooooo cool Probably not technically ship art, but it was worthy of sharing. There is an incredible amount of unique art on this beautiful ship - so much more than I've posted here and much more on my phone I didn't post. BTW - none of these pictures were taken in the art gallery on deck 2 - I never made it there. 😏 I hope you're able to spend some time exploring and discovering it yourself. Some will reach out and grab you, some is very subtle, so always be looking...and enjoy!!! Kudos, HAL, for the great job with the art!
  24. HAL policy is you can bring on a "reasonable amount" (subjective until tested) at embarkation; must be in your carry-on and go through security scanner. We have always complied and been prepared to pay corkage fee, but not once have we been charged. Maybe they know we are wine-ignorant and our pretty bottles are not worthy to drink, so they feel sorry for us and simply let us slide...? 🫣We have even been asked as the bag passed through the scanner "two bottles of wine, right?" and still not charged. But we fully understand there should be a charge and will happily pay w/o grumbling if we are charged. There are a few exceptions, like Italy and Albania, where you can bring wine on in port and take it to your cabin w/o a fee and w/o leaving it at the liquor table. I confess we may have stocked up...
