  1. Once HAL is able to confirm w/local tour operators, they will automatically move excursions to the new date; sometimes that requires time changes. You will then be notified of the changes and they will (eventually) reflect in your online itinerary. You will have an option to cancel if you don't like the new times (if applicable), but that can be a short window if it's an early port (itinerary early, not time of day early) as the cancelation policy still applies.
  2. Congrats on the booking; we quite enjoyed the Sign Suite deck 6 on Eurodam. Hope to see pictures and read your feedback in a year+. Condolences on the loss of your husband - I hope you find peace during your cruise. You will have a lovely balcony for reflection and rejuvenation. 🙏
  3. When I use Uber, fares are deducted from the account I have linked in the App. Curious to see Kazu's reply.
  4. We received zero printed port info on NS for either of the cruises just before and after drydock. We really made use of the maps (disregard the stores on them) finding them helpful for getting a lay of the land and a big picture of where we dock to judge travel distances. Without the maps, we had to rely on the live port talks, which were very crowded. I took pictures when the maps were displayed during the talks.
  5. @sailingdutchy thanks for the lovely pictures!! Is the artist doing a painting that will become part of another mosaic?
  6. Yes, it is on the list and I will absolutely update you there to remove it.😪
  7. Working on (well, actual work, lol) getting the remaining pics and thoughts posted, to wrap this up, even though this is a cruise I would like to continue on for a while. The Cake Me Away event was naturally well attended - and early - so good pictures were hard to get. But you should get an idea of the variety of offerings and how pretty they all looked. Cakes were labeled so they could (in theory) be identified, but the signs were small, the people numerous and the action fast, so I found it easier to just ask what things were. For us, the timing was awkward because it started at 11:30 & we had PG lunch at 12:45. Lunch was scheduled earlier, but as soon as I saw the time for Cake Me Away, I moved the lunch to the latest available time. There was a great assortment - I asked for half portions & was told it was not possible w/my selections (they were too soft). I got Creme Brule Cake and a Neopolitan (probably not actual name); ate almost all of the Neopolitan (loved the frozen portion) and 2 bites of the Creme Brule (very sweet). It was well attended by crew as well as pax. CD Bettyann was in line behind me; we exchanged comments about the talent level that creates the awesome food experience. Highly recommend going if you have this on your cruise. For us, it was the last day, mid- morning.
  8. I don't eat seafood and had no trouble finding wonderful things to eat - even in Tamarind. Yes, there was always a carving station with beef or pork in Lido and the desserts were plentiful. Enjoy!
  9. Every day (no exaggeration) we saw someone working on an elevator somewhere. So, at least they were trying, unless this was routine maintenance.
  10. Nice days; pass on the meal (squash - no thanks), yes to the drink & wine; not been to the port; not sure about the quote; the history day is surely worth remembering. For gingerbread day, I offer some of the holiday bakework from last week on the Nieuw Statendam. 20231206_180851.mp4 Today is a trip to pick up Rx, PT (again ) and more work. Currently chilly 37° headed to 66° with rain on Friday. Learned I am needed out of town for work in March same dates as my cruise, so I canceled it yesterday and hope to find an acceptable replacement. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  11. Bow Cam with volume up fairly loudly - unless they fixed it since last week, it's hard to hear. We did let them know, so hopefully it has an appropriate level now. Captain reported one day he had been given a new mic.
  12. @Ski Mom 2 Orange Party and Orange Bar Hop are held on same night, but are 2 different events; Orange Party is free, Orange Bar Hop is $25.
  13. We have sailed quite a bit on HAL w/3 in a cabin. No issues getting steward to put away and pull out the sofa bed each day to give more space in the cabin, but you may want to consider the bathroom. 3 people using 1 sink gets tight.
  14. Got off NS yesterday and was also on the 2 weeks prior to drydock - food was consistently good. Prior to drydock, most dining was in Lido; this past 2 weeks most was in MDR and occasional CO. DH ate a lot of seafood and said it was good.
  15. I have a cruise at final payment and had to call in since I couldn't get the website to work. Amazingly short wait time, especially given all the issues. You might call in since all the things you want to do can be done on the phone - whichever you start with (reservations or excursions) can transfer you to the other so you only have to call once. 😏
  16. Navigator App shows my booki gs, but I cannot get into the website, either.
  17. Thanks for the library picture - it was locked each time I went by, so couldn't even get a sneak peek.
  18. Good news - the picture @LAFFNVEGASposted shows the banana on the plate, so they must have simply left it off when I ordered it. You should be good...🤞
  19. @kazuis absolutely correct in saying don't cancel yourself but go to the appropriate desk once onboard (Gyest Services for dining and Shire Excursions for excursions) to protect your credits, monies and reservations. Enjoy!
  20. Having also just disembarked this ship yesterday, I am aligned with many of these observations; although, I never saw people w/beepers @CO - never saw it completely full, but could be the timing of our visits. The Ocean Bar band was hands down our favorite - they were very good.
  21. 2 recent cruises to/from Rome on NS, we were able to exchange Euros both ways. I honestly didn't take notice of the exchange rate, but it certainly had to be better than the 40% at the airport (ouch). Note that they do carry a limited amount, so they could run out. And selling them back, they will only accept bills, no coins, even if you're apply to your account. A couple years ago on Canada/ New England cruise, we did the same thing with Canadian currency, but don't know if they still do it.
