  1. So enjoying this Live From, as if there was any doubt! Completely respect Poohby Joe's commitment to always looking his finest. Will he host how-to seminars or has he published? I have a pup in need of a mentor or role model.
  2. This is how I do it; I am not talented enough to use multiple devices at one time. Also share this way.
  3. If you attend the flower arranging presentation and hang back afterwards, talk to the florist about what you want and he'll do it for you. They are amazingly talented with a sincere desire to please the passengers. L❤️VE HAL florists!
  4. Sorry @LAFFNVEGASyou are having a sub-par experience in CO dining room. We only ate breakfast there once & dinner twice as it was just too cold and the service was slow. But the food was good. For us, the food did not make up for the snail-paced service and nothing was making us forget the teeth rattling cold, so we mostly ate in MDR and specialty w/an occasional Lido thrown in. I hope your experience improves and you are still able to have a great cruise.
  5. Ooh, library unveiled - yay!! Your wife is a lucky woman - you know the way to a woman's ❤ 🤍 💙 🧡 It does look really nice, glad you guys are able to access it.
  6. I know - imagine, I managed to not get it done during 4 weeks, 1 of which was all sea days 🫣 And the ones I did get, I did not properly note the location, so I awarded myself a grade below failing, whatever that is, lol. But I did get some points for posting quite a few on my Live From, if that counts.
  7. Hey @POA1 I do have an important but rather large research project that I would like to submit for consideration. I was remiss in completing during my time on NS and trust your abilities far exceed mine, so 🤞 Would love to see pictures of each piece of art deck-by-deck, location-by-location (aft, mid, fwd) 🤔🫣 Is this considered official submission request or does the Institute require a fancy form?
  8. HMC cancelation in advance is usually due to other ship(s) being there, but HAL usually wins since it's their island. It's unfortunate you will miss out, but I hope you still have a great cruise. And maybe it will change...again.
  9. The "pico de gallo" in the Tamarind has a bite to it. Wasn't expecting to see that served there, but it was very good. In the blue bowl in the pic below. Was so good on the rice crackers (their term) we had to get refills of of the pico.
  10. Very similar but I don't see a divider. I got ours from ebay for about $10 less per bag. Oh ours were new, not used, even though they came from the auction site 🙂 it was an online store, not an individual just to be comparing apples to apples, or bags to bags, lol They seem to have gone up a tad, but still less than from mfg. https://www.ebay.com/itm/224777879667?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=57oEMW-jSHy&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=ArTfP3euTEO&var=523637242949&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  11. Pass on the quote; yes to the meal, drink and wine; not been to the port; days in history all important. Dr early this morning then PT and work. Currently 48° headed to 61° with rain on Friday. Need to start checking weather for the 12/21 cruise so I can swap out the suitcase. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  12. This was my experience in Sept on Venezia.
  13. Time to time? I see unruly on every trip to the store, lol.
  14. Sept embarkation was a smooth process - long, but smooth. We waited until our group was called. Disembarkation was beyond a disaster. There were 8 of us (not traveling together, just 8 random passengers) who all had pre-paid for JFK shuttle. It was pouring down 🌧 no shuttle to be found and nobody to help. The driver for the LGA shuttle was trying to help and eventually learned no shuttle was ordered so "they" were working on it. He eventually left to drive his shuttle and a woman came over to get 1 woman to go on a shuttle. We all followed and were told it was only for the 1 woman. That happened a few times and about 90 minutes of waiting my group of 2 were put on a huge shuttle by ourselves and taken to JFK. Worst way ever to end a cruise! As for the casino- the smoke was so bad at the 7 mid ship elevators we thought someone was smoking there. Cabin steward said it's always like that and he has a hard time breathing. The person leading the Behind the Fun tour said the ventilation system has issues and cannot keep up... The cruise itself was great, couple minor hiccups as no cruise is perfect, crew fabulous, but we won't sail Venezia again until we hear the ventilation is improved - it was beyond horrible.
  15. Why do you say NY didn't embrace Venezia? Our 13 days in Sept were sold out.
  16. Congrats! That's a lot of upgrades and add ons representing a lot of value. Hope you have a great cruise!
  17. I can't speak to the new website since I can't get in, but arrangements and vases are still available for purchase. You could call in to order or if you don't mind not having them Day 1, can order onboard.
  18. Yes, you will not be allowed to board until ship zeros out, but then you can just show your in-transit card and scan your card to get back on.
  19. Hey @kazu Jacqui please remove the March 2024 sailing for me - we've sadly canceled due to work. DH will have to find another way to celebrate his birthday.
  20. Congrats on receiving an offer that may work for you - they're great opportunities when they work out! Usually, the offers are for guarantee cabins so you won't get to pick your cabin; however, if CO is still available, you can purchase it then select a cabin. As for the cost of upgrades, it may not be as simple as you paying the difference between your offer and published rate - it could be, but may not be, it might even be better. You just have to call to know for sure.
  21. Reminder that if you have OBC to spend, you can use it for laundry.
  22. I do remember reading there would be the small containers/jars, but did not see any. I got one picture of the other side that had individual servings (rather than whole cakes) that we can look at. I think it looks like the regular servings.
  23. Said he does approx 3 years at a time (drydock to drydock) with a set schedule of months on/off. Definitely knows the business inside out having worked in so many positions. He's a major reason NS is such a great ship!
