I don't know if Military OBC is good outside of US, so you may want to have ahAL confirm you're eligible in the UK.

We've done that every cruise since we discovered unlimited. Truly has changed how we pack and the post-cruise stress. Especially on cruises when I have to work the day after we get home.

@Banditswife @Floopyzebra @Italy52 my experience aligns w/ @Mary229 - Shareholder OBC not combinable w/certain lower fares, but I always submit and let them tell me no. They usually do, but occasionally they say yes. DH Military OBC we have to call every time; if I have a TA, I have them do it, I call HAL if I booked direct. We submit once each year. We did not submit any documentation when we submitted via SheerID - it approved him through their system based off his SS, DOB, branch and discharge date. My understanding is it only asks for additional documentation if they can't make a match. I sent DD214 to TA since I didn't know if he has access to see SheerID approvals. Once you're comfortable you've satisfied the 48-72 hour waiting period (whatever that timeframe they told you), you can call HAL and have them send updated invoices for each booking. It won't break down the OBC by type, but it will show which name it was put under and how much they gave you. They'll send you an invoice for the ones you booked direct and they'll send it to your TA for any they have.

I was late to a call I was hosting, so I can check that off, but it wasn't well received so likely I'll not deliberately do it again, lol. I like cheese pizza and a charitable heart will take us far. Was in Trieste 2017 for DS birthday cruise. I think I enjoyed it, but we tragically lost our younger brother during that trip and it's a blur. Haven't been back yet, but hope to go again one day. Currently 91, work started very early this morning and I didn't check it until now. Just another hot, dry week. Ugh Prayers and thoughts 🙏 to all on care and rotation list and their families.

My experience of receiving an upgrade day of embarkation is recent - less than a year ago for the most recent ones (plural). They were on N Amsterdam (Oct '22) declined, K'Dam (Dec '22) accepted and N Statendam (Feb '22) declined. Eurodam (April/May '23) accepted an upgrade 2 days prior to sailing. I will continue to ask, sign or no sign posted. And I will continue to call to inquire prior to sailing whether or not HAL has reached out to me with an offer. 🤭

Sitka is one of our favorite ports in AK - very much enjoy the drive from the port to town. The newly expanded port is nice. We really like Fortess of the Bears and the Rapture Center. The absolute best whale watching we've done was an independent tour on a cloudy, drizzly day there. Love the smell of the popcorn at the Lutheran church and like the artistic bike racks even though we never see any bikes "parked" in them. I passed on the $17k coat and instead enjoyed a great coffee from A Little Something. 79 again this morning; see we only made 99 yesterday, but it's triple digits again for the week. Prayers to all 🙏 extra thoughts for Baby Murphy and family.

Yikes! Something is definitely off as bookings immediately appear, even those on courtesy hold. Have you tried on the Navigator App? I have had bookings show in one place but not the other; not frequently, but has happened. So, website issues aside, Welcome to HAL!!

Speaking for nobody other than myself - I'm not smuggling anything onboard. I only take wine as it's what is allowed and I always declare it. Collection of corkage is up to the ship - if they were to ask (haven't yet), I would pay. I don't bring wine on to skirt a daily drink limit, I do it because I like the specific wine.

It should be automatic since you're hanging, but good to note just to be safe. Just don't select it on the Pressing portion to avoid overcharge.

While it may be desirable to upgrade the HIA drink package, currently the upgrade is included as part of the Early Booking Bonus promotion. Promotions and sales come and go. Thus those offerings and the ability to receive any particular piece of them comes and goes. Since pax are now only charged the difference between price (plus 18% on that difference) as some have suggested, that may work in your favor vs paying to upgrade (if you could).

I am frequently getting the "400 bad request" error which prevents me from going further. Is that the error message you're referring to?

I wish I'd stowed away with you, lol. Any trip to AK is a good trip and AK weather is quite preferable to our triple digits.
