  1. So far, I truly believe that was the most exciting part of becoming 4*. Although half price "fancy" coffee is a very close second.
  2. As @kazu said, laundry price is higher in Europe and other cruises outside No America, so that could be impacting the price you're seeing. That is for both the per bag and unlimited options. The per bag price for your ship is only visible once onboard. I've used the per bag a lot and it's still helpful in reducing the amount as pack. If you roll then stack clothes before putting into the bag, you can fit a lot in one bag, so even if it's $35, it can be a deal.
  3. To piggyback off @YourWorldWithBill HAL is in their 76th year cruising AK - they do a great job. The naturalists and people from Alaskan Geographic that they bring on board the ship while in Glacier Bay really enhance the experience. Glacier Bay is gorgeous - rain or shine. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  4. I believe I may be on the same cruise as OP. What was to be a full day in Ensenada has been revised to 7p - midnight. While they may be added as sailing gets closer, there are no excursions currently being offered; no margins to be made. The stop is clearly to satisfy the foreign stop of a closed loop cruise and passenger experience does not appear to be a consideration.

  6. Agree - all of the ones I was looking at did have reduced fares and seemed to be legit reductions, not overinflated prices that were then reduced to give the illusion of a sale.
  7. There is no additional 18% on the cost of unlimited laundry; whatever price is shown in your booking is the total cost. And well worth it. 🙂
  8. That's what it says, but some have reported doing it w/o the TA. A call to the CO line will quickly answer that question.
  9. Jumping in here in support of HAL laundry service - that team does fabulous work, even handling special requests. Please remember them as you distribute any end of cruise additional tips - you can just put it in the last bag. And also enjoy a leisurely unpacking when you get home - clothes go straight from suitcase to closet, bypassing the washer. 🙂
  10. I was on that same cruise and had same experience - wine was in carry-on and it got scanned. Guy asks "you've got 2 bottles of wine?" "Yes, we do." "OK, great." We did not pay corkage. But we would have if told as that's the policy.
  11. @badtwin usually wait list means you're waiting for someone to drop. But they could add more slots - just depends on the tour operator. I have seen additional time slots created.

  15. No refund, charges have moved from pending to posted, so I am owed an actual refund. Seems Carnival would have just canceled the pending charges as they have the ability to do, but instead now have to process refunds. Guess that's punishment for purchasing glitchy Cheers.
  16. We call Ships Inventory - they have full visibility into all cabins available. Not in front of my list just now, so I'm not able to give you the number. If someone else doesn't provide it, I'll pop it in here when I'm reunited w/my computer. No idea if Mariner status plays into what rate you're offered; we've gotten good deals at 1* and 4* as well as unattractive rates. Good luck!
  17. There are things they do well, this just is not it.
  18. Were the mules stinky? We saw them, but did not ride. We've read the path is littered with mule poo (cuz they gotta do what they gotta do when they gotta do it) and it's not cleaned up. On a typical hot day, it gets smelly fast. Also read it was a really rough ride. What did you think? How long did it take to get up?
  19. I know this may be a shock, but everyone is not onboard for the casino. Crazy, right? More room for you, lol.
  20. Imagine the lift in bookings and supplemental sales if they would actually address the website issues.
