  1. You can stack types of OBC, but some awards are limited per cabin, not per person, so you both cannot receive. AARP and Shareholder, for example, are limited per cabin.
  2. Oh my - HAL has a policy and it is neither a secret nor a "hassle" to arrange. As @kazu myself and others have said, it is lovely and done with great respect for both the passengers family and the departed. I am amazed that anyone would think they could just literally dump cremains.
  3. It is an open area so the smoke will move about as the air does.
  4. Happens to me every time and never been an issue. What is an annoying consequence; however, is my name is too long and there are not enough spaces to fully display so when they send it to the airline it does not exactly match my passport. Most recent trip this promoted someone at HAL to change my "internal" profile to match which caused a log in issue.. As Pooh would say "oh, bother."
  5. @malony33 CO is not a "membership" club - it's a per-cruise paid benefit. IMO the best benefit is the amity to select a specific cabin in your desired location w/o the cost. I agree a well chosen verandah can be a nice reward and help soothe away a bad year. We prefer true aft cabins w/wake view. Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!
  6. @BermudaBound2014 your pictures of the Eden Tahiti island tour are fabulous - thanks for sharing.
  7. 1 Smoke detector needs a battery - it's been "singing" to us, so we'll change it along w/the others and restock the supply. Time had not changed on my phone when I first checked the weather, but it updated as I did the screenshot, so now I only need to change the stove, microwave and cars. I would like to see this practice end - it has outlived its usefulness. The meal sounds good but I would pick around the kale & like it w/bacon (thanks @dfish for the suggestion), yes to the drink but like it better w/o the coconut 🥥 milk, yes to the wine, not been to the port & look forward to the pictures I know will be shared; thanks @StLouisCruisers for yours. Currently 37° headed to 64° - yay no rain! @kazu I hope you feel better today and am glad you got some sleep. Prayers and positive thoughts for all. 🙏
  8. We used ItalyTours.EU Nov & Dec 2023 for a couple excursions and were very pleased. One was Amalfi Coast Pompeii - we had no issues and would absolutely them again. We were notified of a port change late the night before and they met us at the new port the next morning without missing a beat. I hope yours is as nice as ours was. Our Pompeii Amalfi Coast tour was out of Sorrento, not Naples, but our guide did say she lives in Naples. We also went to Positano - very pretty tour.
  9. Thank you @marshhawk @kochleffel @kazu and everyone who participated in the medical discussions yesterday. Your mention @RMLincoln of the shortfalls in our system, especially in Mental Health tugs at my heart as one who has lost a brother, nephew and cousin to suicide. These are important conversations.
  10. Thoughts and prayers @grapau27 for you, Pauline, Sarah and family.
  11. Interesting and slightly scandalous 😉 Also sad - imagine how many people missed out on potentially wonderful lives because of biases
  12. Interesting collection of days - I don't know what to make of Fanny Pack Day, but I don't plan on leaving the house, so I don't need one. The meal & wine sound good, no idea what the drink is, not been to the destination. Important days in history; I am Lutheran and even if I had different affiliation, I would appreciate Martin Luther's effort to bring an end to religious violence. House cleaning today - the new Swiffer I ordered arrives this morning and I hope it encourages me to do better at getting rid of the mud & mess from the recent rains 🌧 You all saw the pup in the "puddle" so you can probably imagine what the floors look like 🙄 Neurologist says to see an Ortho about my hip, so I'll ask the shoulder surgeon for a referral when I see him next month. EMG scheduled for Thursday. Currently 43° headed to semi sunny 59° w/no rain until Thursday; that's not long enough to dry out the backyard but it will help. Ptayers and positive thoughts for all. 🙏
  13. These are the situations I'd like to be wrong. The K'dam is a lovely ship w/great itineraries and being only 1 of 3 w/a GDC, makes her a favorite, but the dogs...
  14. Probably, but that's frustrating - policy should be policy. We all know how HAL is w/consistency. Not going to keep me away, but it's annoying.
  15. My B2Bs (have done several) have been 2 booking numbers whether same cabin or different cabin. I was told they were linked and think they were at least sometimes as the end date on my key card would reflect the 2nd week, but not always. Now I'm curious why we would have different experiences?
  16. Same - I want to see both. You'll also verify your dining preference and bed configuration are correct on these confirmations.
  17. My experience aligns with @Crew News on which OBC refunds and which rolls to the next segment. And that shore exc credits do not roll. You will get an "in transit" card and will not be locked out of your cabin. Always use the terrific laundry service - I'm "aroma sensitive" and never have an issue. Other than getting a booking confirmation to confirm OBC and dining preferences (your time or fixed) really is not anything you need a PCC for at this point unless (don't want to jynx it) the cruise gets canceled and you need to rebook. Welcome to HAL!!
  18. Such great news @cat shepard I hope her rehab goes well.
  19. You know where I stand, ugh. And I love my pups, but they don't cruise with me. Look - I think she heard me and is now sulking, lol
  20. I really really wish I had an update, but I guess HAL has decided the dog situation is not worthy of a response. Not what I expected from them or want to say, but the silence is deafening. Also that they've continued to allow dogs on K'dam tells me that ship likely has a reputation in the canine sailing community. I think this is just 1 of the issues that ship has as experienced by @Mary229 and others. Things are just 'off.' With that said, Crew were great as @Hogladyrider said even though service in some places was slow. I do love HAL and will continue to sail, I just think I'll pass on this ship until I see reports the dog issues have been resolved. I do promise if I ever hear from them, I'll post it here.
  21. @kazu The numbness started in the bottom outside of my foot, not toes, and goes from the heal to little toe. I like the idea of seeing a podiatrist. 🙏🤞 @dfish I hear ya - Dr said the Rx he signed serves as his letter of medical necessity and if they (insurance clerks) have a question or disagree, then maybe they should seek a medical degree. Feels like a p*****g contest and I think it may not be a quick process 🙄🥺 I will call Monday, ugh
