IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR CRUISE ITINERARY: SEVEN SEAS EXPLORER® DEPARTING JANUARY 12, 2023 DATE OF ISSUANCE: OCTOBER 27, 2022 Dear Valued Guest and Travel Partner: Portside Cruise Terminal in Brisbane has ceased activities and, effective immediately, is no longer accepting calls of cruise ships. We have therefore revised the itinerary for your 2023 Seven Seas Explorer cruise. Just north of Brisbane, Mooloolaba boasts some of Queensland’s most beautiful beaches while Newcastle is the gateway to the Hunter Valley wine region and scenic area of Port Stephens. The revised portion of the itinerary is below: DATE PORT ARRIVAL DEPARTURE 27-Jan-2023 Newcastle, Australia 8:00AM 7:00PM 28-Jan-2023 At Sea -- -- 29-Jan-2023 Mooloolaba, Australia 7:00AM 7:00PM Shore excursions for the newly added calls are available to reserve online. 3. The original fare was decent but definitely leaving a bad taste in my mouth. At least they could offer an OBC or partial OBC. As far a lost perhaps I'll see as this is my first SS cruise and if it doesn't compare to regent definitely lost and either way I would wait to book if booking a port to port.
  4. from TA : I've been in contact with Silversea regarding the current price difference. The lower rate of $15,500 ($7,750 per person) cannot be honored on your existing reservation, you are currently holding the "port to port" which is non refundable and cannot be re-priced or changed
  5. No, we usually can get the 90 days supply since we live in Belize most of the time and one of us goes back every 90 days or so. Usually only issue is the hydro.
  6. good input hopefully coming off the cruise ship will be easier than flying into indonesia
  7. still waiting to hear from TA
  8. One is schedule B the other schedule C, Hopefully with a doctors note it will be approved with vacation override. Laws are made for the worst of society.
  9. Going on a long cruise originating in Auckland NZ ends in Bali and a layover in Singapore. DW has some prescription drugs requiring approval from the various governments. Don't think Australia will be an issue since we won't carry any off the ship. Bali and Singapore require approval and she can have up to 1 month supply. However, NZ is the issue as she will be coming in with supply for the 45 days we are gone. So, if NZ won't approve that what are the other options. For instance can you send the supply to Regent and have them hold them with the ships doctor or nurse? Surely people on Grand voyages and WC have a need for medications on these longer voyages, how do they get them?
  10. Couldn't agree more, I would cringe on our last cruise at sitting in the theater for so long - when they could stagger the times for people.
  11. So I get that tipping in Australia and NZ is not customary and similar to Europe round up.... What about shore excursions I was thinking 10 USD per person on them? And is it acceptable to give AUD in NZ or should I get some local currency in NZ also? Also not directly on topic but are AUD or NZD acceptable for shore excursion tips in New Guinea and Lombok/Bali or should I use USD or local? Thanks
  12. Our friend just flew BZE DFW (AA) to LHR (BA) and to FCO 2 1/2 hr connection in DFW and LHR. Bag made it to LHR but not to ROME. Had an airtag so no need to wait on bag in Rome just go to hotel bag arrived the following evening. Good thing she arrived several days before her cruise.
  13. Ok I'll have my TA look at it
  14. Connecting flights | Heathrow this can help some

    Price Drop

The port-to-port fare on a May 31 cruises dropped 2K per couple. We have a port to port (non-ref deposit.) Does SS reprice existing reservations or offer SBC?
  16. If you haven't been the botanic gardens by the sleeping giant and the volcanic mud baths make a nice trip there are guides that take you. Our photo was taking after we got out of the hot volcanic mud pit and it dried.
  17. Most of the water around Vitu Levu is not crystal clear like out island resorts (Liku Liku for example). So if you want to snorkle or dive stay on an out island or do a trip from port denaru We had lunch at the marriott as we were exploring the island by car. Nice location but have not stayed in a room there.
  18. the Intercontinental or Marriot Momi might be good hotels to relax at and are more secluded than the Denarau. If you want to stay on an outer island, we really enjoyed liku liku resort but not sure it worth the ride to get out there and back on the ferry (you could go by helicopter if you have the $$$) We also stayed at deneru hilton for a week on points. It was nice and close to the Port Denaru shops and restaurants.

  20. Time Zone Converter – Time Difference Calculator (timeanddate.com) works great especially for when you are on board in some strange time zone and for scheduling a covid test on those proctored tests
  21. To an extent I agree but there are some circumstances that I would prefer a seamless experience in places like China, Isreal South africa. On my upcoming SS cruise I just booked my own place in Southampton (been to London too many times) and 3 nights on the back end in Copenhagen. Based on my experience Regent does a better job of listing their hotels( or similar) on their land and hotel options though there have been some issues in miami and a couple other places with substandard hotels.
  22. That is how we did it just logged into two windows and booked them separately
  23. You can fly direct out of Southampton to Dublin on eastern airways . We had too much luggage and it was more cost effective to fly BA to Dublin out of Heathrow. We stayed a few nights in Dublin and rented a car and drove to Ashford Castle for DW 60th. Fabulous place to relax and enjoy the grounds including the falconry experience which is one of the coolest things we have done. Once you get out of the city the driving is relatively easy and you can get to the west coast area (Galway) in 2 1/2 hours
