  1. Perfect thanks - I hope they have AUD on the Auckland to Bali cruise. Though most have said on the A/NZ board not to tip the tour guides as it isn't the custom there and they were adamant about it!
  2. In order to change money on board - I know they will take cash USD. Can you write a check? or Charge to the Room and pay with CC? Not talking huge sums of money.
  3. Rouge waves can happen anywhere good 5 minute clip on rogue waves https://res.cloudinary.com/dtpgi0zck/video/upload/q_auto/vc_vp9/v1/videos/Rogue Waves.webm?_s=vp-1.9.4
  4. I don’t think there is a limit but it is subject to availability. I believe in a grand suite and above you will get this but not sure what the footnote is: Guaranteed Reservation Each Night in Specialty Restaurant of Your Choice†
  5. That brought on a good laugh and It's not even happy hour yet! I hope to see you on board on some cruise in the future.
  6. Just the deviation fee. Originally the booked me DFW/LAX/AKL when there wasn't a NS. AA changed their flights and automatically put me on the DFW/AKL non-stop as they eliminated the LA route. Unfortunately they couldn't book me a return out of Singapore since that is considered Asia and I guess BALI is south pacific. I just used miles from Singapore to DFW via Haneda on JAL. I booked my own flight from Bali to Singapore on Scoot air in their "scoot plus" class (like domestic US first) for 240 bucks for 2 people.
  7. our cruise ends in bali and we booked a driver on viator to pick us up at the port and take us to the sights in ubud .... supposed to go for 10 hours but we just customized it to get us to the conrad at 3-4 pm. Total is 67 usd for both of us. That will give you an idea of the prices in Bali
  8. Travel requirements map (joinsherpa.com) is helpful for each country
  9. definitely will be on the ship! They might adjust the departure to coincide with the fireworks who knows.
  10. Might want to look at Finnair it is also one world cph-hel-dfw
  11. As should be expected at lhr . Sad to say.
  12. We will be docked in Sydney on Australia day. Is the cruise port right near the harbor so the fireworks can be seen?
  13. My regent air flights to Auckland were ticketed 60 days prior though the reservation was made 270 days out so I could choose seats AA DFW-AKL. We paid deviation to go 3 days early.
  14. Yes it is a very nice hotel and 1 1/2 blocks is basically across the street a little more than a regent ship length .
  15. Fairmont pacific rim across the street is a great hotel has a sushi place that is awesome. Haneda HND about 10 miles Narita NRT is about 56 miles and takes an hour to hour and a half depending on traffic and is pricey to get to if you can get flights out of haneda much better.
  16. I'll let you know as we are on her from NZ to Bali
  17. where did you see that information - On the regent site?
  18. I believe most Canadians would take USD.
  19. I have seen a lot of comments about Pacific Rim so let's make it easy for Regent reading the boards. I have eaten there twice and will try on explorer next cruise a couple more times. One on Chinese New Year. Feel free to chime in and of course taste is very subjective. Menu below is for reference. I thought the sashimi and sushi appetizers were done well might make a meal of them and the soft-shell crab (I have had twice, and both were perfect). I would like to see more rolls and maybe some vegetable and shrimp tempura. The Dim sum was also done well and would like to see it expanded. salads were basic and ok they can keep that on the menu As far as entrees The pork ribs were very dry and chewy, and I agree with some posts that stated the lobster was overcooked and tough. (Either improve the preparation or replace these.) The tiger prawns we decent but preparation wasn't special - would rather see a kung pao shrimp. The miso Black cod was definitely the entree winner. Haven't tried the bulgogi sirloin may try next time. They also could add something like Singapore street noodles as DW likes her noodle. The side dishes were decent, but they are a side not a main course.
  20. The Australia zoo is a lot closer to Mooloolaba than Brisbane, but many tour operators aren't set up for tours from Moo it seems. Isn't you cruise ship offering a tour there?
  21. Tried on my phone and it is back up !
  22. I went into my account, and it doesn't show any bookings or tier status. Anyone else having issues ? @Mike Moore is there maintenance going on?
  23. Miss the day at school your teen will gain much more wisdom if she engages in conversation with many of the wonderful regent passengers. I’m 60 and on our last(and first of many) regent cruise learned so much and enjoyed so many conversations and I think many of us older folks will agree we love conversing with the younger generation and sharing our life experiences with them. I found when I had the opportunity to take my children traveling they learned so much!
