Nothing I can do about it, but its dishonest imo. Same day i had some kind of dishonest bait and switch with a hotel room. I'm not sure which is lying but i suspect the hotel. I booked a very large room. Only reason i booked that hotel. Checked in and went to my room and it was teeny tiny. I went and asked and girl says all the kings are booked up sorry. The confirmation we got was for that tiny queen room. Then this morning he showed me a SPECIAL REQUEST to move me to the smaller room, for the same money .. said no one ever. I for sure didnt request it. The reason I'm suspicious of the hotel is on the request it had my middle name. The booking did not have my middle name. .. so having both the hotel thing and seeing rcl is going to bill me for higher port fees after they said they dont . . I do feel someone is taking advantage of me. Cant do anything about rcl, but I complained to the hotel booking site. I'm pushing that. But I was already unhappy with corporate america.

I posted the email I got from mbayley office refusing to give me the difference when they changed to less expensive ports. .. says they will not bill extra if prices go up so they dont refund if prices go down. Liars. They want it both ways. They can keep raising cruise prices to make up for it if they locked it in. Carnival always refunds port fees for overage or if a port is issed. Royalcaribbean is clearly not a honest company. So now I should expect to get the difference if port fees drop? Or rcl keeps them if they drop or charges if they go up. I got one you dont. Lol. Adventure dec 21 over Christmas now goes to grand bahama. I'm sure grand bahama also will get hit by this. My harmony out of texas oct 2024 goes to both nassau and coco cay. Bella2 and bella2.5 both go to coco cay. Out of texas very few but I'm planning on moving next year.

Have you considered a few days on the beach in cocoa beach. It's a lovely beach. Then go to orlando. Cocoa beach is where the port hotels mainly are. Before Thanksgiving prices for hotels wouldnt be bad vs in the winter during season.

You dont say when your cruise is. Galveston is known to be foggy and often late docking because of the fog, imo especially in feb, but can be other months. I've cleared by 730 am but also not until after 8 am. Hobby is 45 minutes, IAH maybe 1.5 hours away ... you dont say which airport? Uber or lyft? Rcl has shuttles. A lot depends when your flight is, which airport etc.

I would call someone to book if you want the 3 cabins near each other. If you dont care, then it doesnt matter.

Mbayley@rccl.com office saying I cant get the decrease in taxes and fees when they changed my ports and I missed a port. So either he lied or doesnt know rcl policy. I dont see how they can deny matching if fees and taxes go down if now they can bill you after you book if fees and taxes go up. Having your cake and eat it too .. also imo lied. See what I circled in red ... says they do not bill if fees and taxes go up.

I have the email from mbayley saying since they dont bill if taxes and fees go up, I cant price match when they go down. I was only booking out of Galveston so I didnt look at other ports. Bella1 started out around $2300 for 7 nights, out of miami. Luckily it dropped. My mom passed in January so suddenly what I'd booked out of Galveston wasnt what I wanted, but luckily refundable. Took me a while to decide about moving to florida next year. Cancelled dec 2024, but still have oct 2024 8 days out of Galveston. $1k for inside balcony i hate to cancel, but part of me wants to be moved by then. Can get that price again. Now its showing over $1200 per person!! I knew 8 days harmony to coco cay would go up. Hard to get coco cay from Galveston. Added a few recently, all high lol, but seem to be going even higher. Where will the prices quit going up and flatten out? I hate to say to people I'm planning my move around my cruise bookings partly. They look at me like I'm crazy. Every rebooking costs more. I got some good prices right after covid of course, we all did. My point was about prices now what I see are higher than before covid.

Pre covid I could find cruises during off season, like sept for $100 a day solo. Now I'm booking over $150 a day, but mostly not over $200 a day. Of course wonder is over $200 a day, utopia too. New ships. Nothing left under $100 a day I could find before covid. Suites, out of sight. What can I do even with discounts I dont see pre covid prices. So I book what prices are now.

My southern on adventure in april 2025 went up. So far away and I thought I'd paid a lot per day. Last time I looked insides now are over $1100 pp. I didnt click thru, but for sure up. A month ago was under $1000 pp. The other 2 up too. We have to meet. You and I post the same things too often. Rates are getting crazy high.

Agree with Mike. I'd trust the post from the TA before someone else. He books tons of groups. He has a reputation here. He knows from experience vs people throwing out guesses.

FYI carnival does the same thing about other lines. It's both ways. Carnival pax act like carnival is the best. To them I'm sure it is, but I hear it both directions. Every line the pax think is the best. I feel it both directions all the time. So does this mean carnival people are snobbish who only cruise carnival and put down rcl? Hmmm.

Had you been on cc you would know 48 hours or more all the planner items are closed to buy. Always. Every single cruise. How can you br mad at rcl for their rules you didnt know. I forget to get my discount on logo items in the store applied. Needs to be in my brain, not just loaded to my card. If you dont mention discounts, they rarely mention them, other than drink vouchers.
