  1. We love sailing from Canaveral……hated Miami….
  2. We just got off a ship last Saturday and if there are a lot of ships in port that day traffic around your checkin time could be a nightmare. We took a shuttle to the port from the hotel around 10:30 and fortunately we were going to Terminal 5 because traffic to get off Hwy 528 going to Terminal 1 was backed up on 528 as far as you could see!!! If you are in T1 I would get there very early and grab a parking spot and then just wait in the garage for a little bit…
  3. Just got off the Jewel last Saturday. We had early Traditional dining and our time was 5:15 however they opened the doors at 5pm every evening
  4. We just got off the Jewel and will sail on her again March 17th. We too usually sail the Oasis class but we loved this ship….. HOWEVER….we are in our 70’s and like the feel of cruising as it was years ago with beautiful views, floor to ceiling windows, lots of places to sit and read and just watching the ocean go by. We do not have any children with us so if your child is used to all the bells and whistles of the big ships they may not be happy. It is much smaller and does not have a promenade so it is very different… Just look at some You Tube videos and be sure it has all that your are looking for….
  5. VERY bad advice……especially for new or inexperienced cruisers who might not know any better!!!!!
  6. After the Southwest debacle a few weeks ago where they cancelled thousands of flights and people were stranded at the airport for days….no way would I trust flying with them the day of!!! But then again…..no way would I fly in the day of period!!
  7. Make your final payment with your TA as you usually do. I am in my 70’s and found making purchases such as drink pkgs, etc are easier for me to do on the website. I just log in there and go to the planner. You will have your Set Sail Pass on your app which is good but being old school I still print mine out as it speeds up checkin rather than having to look for it on your phone. The only thing I use the app for is checkin, muster drill, health questions, to keep up with onboard daily activities and to keep a check on my account onboard.
  8. The Radisson would not be on my list of places to stay. We stayed there for years for stopped several years ago because of some issues. All hotels in the Canaveral area are pretty pricey but check these out as they are all less than a mile to the port and much nicer….. *Hampton Inn & Suites Cruise Port *Home2Suites *Homewood Suites *Towneplace Suites *Springhill Suites *Residence Inn *Country Inn & Suites Check out these shuttles for transportation from the airport and then the morning of the cruise see if your hotel has a shuttle or just call an Uber *Cocoa Beach Shuttle *Cruise Control Transportation *Contrans Shuttle *GoPort
  9. Park Port Canaveral is about a mile from the port. Nice paved fenced in lot with shuttles running continuously. Be sure to use the discount code at the top of their website for the best deal…
  10. Ugh….I cannot get into the app right now!! If memory serves me there should be a link at the bottom that says checkin and I think that’s where it gave the date. Sorry I couldn’t help more…..but it’s there (if your cruise isn’t a long time away)
  11. Usually available at 45 days out but you can look on your app and it will give you the date of check in
  12. If you don’t need all the bells and whistles and truly enjoy ocean views take a look at the Radiance class ships. Lots and lots of floor to ceiling windows with many places to sit, read or just watch the ocean go by. Our favorite class of ship….
  13. only ONE person need to buy the 4 device package. After you get onboard the one who purchased the package will then give the log on information to the other three people (beside himself) he wants to use the package.
  14. www.bernardstours.com we have used Bernard numerous times. Very well known and respected in St Martin
  15. This is where we get our quotes and purchase our policies www.insuremytrip.com
  16. I have to agree with you about the entertainment ……🥴🥴
  17. Wow!! Totally not our experience at all. In fact after two meals in the MDR we ate the rest of the time in the WJ and enjoyed it very much. We loved the new layout that seemed to flow very well. The staff was so nice and were very attentive. Saw lots of “white shirts” bussing and cleaning tables along with their staff. Never saw a table not cleaned off for more than a couple of minutes…. Sorry your experience wasn’t the same…
  18. The Wonder has wading pools which are about 3ft deep with seating. So nice if you are wanting to cool off. It also has nice loungers in the water which are comfortable and relaxing. It also has hot tubs. The Solarium on the Wonder is huge and very nice. It is climate controlled so we were able to enjoy it all day….
  19. We were on the Wonder in December and it was perfectly comfortable. We were able to stay out there all day long and never had to use sunscreen. It is our favorite Solarium for sure!! The Wonder is an amazing ship!!!
  20. log onto your account on the website (not app). Click on view/edit Set Sail Pass. You will then see a link to view luggage tags…..print them from there.
  21. we have always printed in black and white and always have our luggage by late afternoon….
