we have been to zarellas too and it was good but I love chicken parm and to me Kelsey’s was better, it costs less and included a salad which we had to pay extra for at Zarellas

The Country Inn & Suites is less than a mile to the port where there are a number of really cool restaurants right on the water. An inexpensive taxi or Uber ride will get you there in about 5 min…. The Italian place the other poster referred to is Kelsey’s. It is very good and there is also a cool bar/restaurant in the same building (owned by the same people) called Preacher Bar. It is going to be 3/4 of a mile or less from the hotel….

The hotels in the area I am familiar all have a daily charge to park and all charge a small fee for their shuttle….

I love my travel agent!! I have his cell phone number and I can get him anytime either by calling, text, email, or FB private message. after reading about people on hold with Royal for 3-5+ hrs I am happy to let him handle any issues that may arise….😎😎

keep checking as sometimes they will randomly make more earlier time slots available and you could edit and change yours. May not happen….but I have seen it several times….😎😎

When we were on the Mariner in May we left from T1 but returned to T5. Royal provided very nice buses to take people and luggage back to T1 to get their cars. It was no problem at all…..

Have friends on the Oasis right now and so far they have not decorated. She also said it was reported some of the crew was sick so they are short handed in several areas…..

Why don’t you set your cellphone so that is remains on ship time and doesn’t change with your ports?

Just saw a post a few minutes ago from someone onboard and they were still sitting outside the channel. They are not giving them any word as to when they might expect to get back into Tampa…..

I would find a good travel agent and let them handle things for you. Ours has been invaluable…..

As you well know there are multiple restaurants along the port area and I highly doubt very few if any are going to bother to take this advice. Most would rather stand outside the doors of the terminal forever and complain. Just trying to help out those that may want a more civilized wait….😎

I would just check my luggage and take the 2 minute stroll down the sidewalk to Grills and enjoy some food and drinks…..instead of getting in the middle of the huge crowd trying to get into the terminal!!

We like to pay upfront just to have them out of the way. One less thing to have to pay once onboard….😎😎

I believe most all the rental car agencies have free shuttles to the port. Just drop your family and luggage off at the port and then return the car. That way you aren’t dragging luggage and it will just be you….

Uber would be your best bet……we are in our 70’s and have no problem using their app….😎

After 50+ cruises I have never felt the dining staff was intrusive. Sorry……but being rude to the staff for just trying to be sure everything is to their liking is being rude.

We love interacting with the wait staff and taking the time to get to know them. They are trying their best to do a good job and I try my best to be considerate of that… If we want to hang out and visit with our friends we do it after dinner….

Exactly what we do!! Last cruise we were behind a family of six where only the Dad had the documents on his phone. They were still scrolling and scrolling when we were allowed to go around them.

We stayed there many times but stopped about 2yrs ago. Had too many issues over several stays that made us not want to go back…. In my opinion there are many other nicer and better places to stay….
