  1. Sailed 51 times and out of all of those I caught something maybe 3 times. And yes one of those times was covid…..
  2. since we rarely purchase anything pre-cruise we just let the onboard credit roll over to our account on the ship and use it during our cruise….
  3. In addition to pre-paying our tips we also on the last night tip extra to our room steward, waiters and our favorite bar tender. We are D+ and get 5 drink vouchers per day. We also tip $1-$2 with each of our free drink vouchers. So we are not just keyboard warriors…..😁😁
  4. The Independence usually sails out of Terminal 1. You pay as you enter the parking garage. Did you have specific questions?
  5. I get envelopes from Guest Services but it is only to tip extra to those who I have had great service from….my gratuities are pre-paid before boarding. My only hope is that those who remove their tips do so at the beginning of the cruise rather than wait until the last day so that the crew will know it was not because of something they did wrong!!
  6. We were on the Jewel last month and will sail on her again the 17th. No the food wasn’t as good as we have had in the past, but we love the Jewel and cannot wait for our upcoming cruise….
  7. IMO……too risky!! MCO can be a zoo even with TSA pre check
  8. Please do your complaining at Guest Services and not to your room steward as they have no control over anything!!!
  9. Park N Cruise is not a paved lot. Every time we have passed by the cars are packed in there very close. You also have to leave them your keys. My husband would never leave his car there because he is picky about such things… Park Port Canaveral is a regular paved parking lot with normal lined parking spaces. It is fenced in, with continuous shuttles and only a mile from the port. Be sure to use the discount code at the top of the Park Port Canaveral website to get the best price….
  10. I have never seen anyone with a stack of Set Sail cards checking in people who were not there.
  11. one person can play the video and check off that everyone on the reservation watched it with them. Then everyone goes to the muster station when you board and they scan all the Sea Pass cards and you are done.
  12. When we were on the Harmony a few months ago they were still putting them out in Park Cafe. However during the short time we were there we watched MULTIPLE people come in and take 8-10 bags at a time.😳😳 So if you are wondering why that perk is gone you can thank these people who ruined it for everyone!!!😡😡
  13. We have used Bernard’s Tours a number of times and highly recommend him. He has been in business well over 15yrs and is well known on the island. No worries when you tour with Bernard. www.bernardstours.com
  14. Hotels around Canaveral are very expensive right now and will most certainly be April. You might be better to stay around the airport. Popular suggestions to get to the port: *Cortrans Shuttle *Cocoa Beach Shuttle *Cruise Control Transportation *GoPort (has pkgs for both hotel & transportation) *One Way Car rental
  15. We stayed there many times until about 2yrs ago. We had several situations that we did not care for so we no longer stay there. It is dated and at this moment the whole front parking lot is completely torn up as they are doing some kind of renovation. if you are only staying one night it is “okay” but there are nicer places to stay in Canaveral…
  16. At that top of their website there is always a discount code. Be sure to enter that when booking to get the very best price…..
  17. Any bar that blends frozen drinks….
  18. They get great reviews but my husband would never leave our vehicle there as they pack them in like sardines. we prefer to use Park Port Canaveral which is only a mile from the port. They have a nice paved fenced in lot with continuous shuttles
  19. Jacksonville to Port Canaveral is always a 2hr drive for us in a good day. Factor in the Daytona 500 and I would allow some extra time….
  20. A taxi is going to be the most expensive choice! Popular suggestions are: *Uber *Pre-booked shuttle such as Cocoa Beach Shuttle, Cruise Control Transportation or GoPort *one way car rental
  21. when raising my children I managed to keep them occupied, while teaching them social skills and manners without the use of electronics. IMO…….parents are missing some important teachable moments by giving these children devices instead of taking the time to interact with them….
  22. Check Titusville……most of the chain hotels are there and you are only about 15-20 to the port. For off site parking check with Park Port Canaveral. Only a mile to the port, nice paved, fenced in parking lot with continuous shuttles. Be sure to use the discount code at the top of their website for the best price.. www.parkportcanaveral.com
